Great software that has everything I need to run a profitable business.

Pros

Productive is great because it gives me an overview of every segment of my company in one place, from sales and scheduling projects to communication management, employee management, and reporting. We were paying for multiple software apps, which was not only expensive but also confusing and time-wasting. With Productive, costs were cut down significantly. The support team is very responsive, always available, and fast in helping me solve my issues.

Cons

It took some time for setting up the organization and getting everybody on board, but with Productive's help center and their support team, that was done in a jiffy. The software is a bit robust due to its wide pallet of functionalities, so it has a somewhat steep learning curve.

Great customer service team, gabrijeila was amazing

Pros

It was easy for me to pick up and onboard team members. When we switched from another program, uploading tasks was a breeze.

Cons

The inability to easily delete tasks is annoying. This process can be convoluted and frustrating at times. I do not understand why things can only be archived.

Innovative all-in-one solution for agencies in the creative industry

Pros

For me, it is an all-in-one solution with great help and support from the team, reporting options and financial insights, and a clear flow from sales pipeline to project.

Cons

The invoicing and quotation features are limited. The dashboard view is not visual or customizable enough. The project management features are limited. Roles and user rights are not customizable enough. The desktop app is more 'buggy' than the browser version.

Easy to use and the interface is simple and easy to navigate through.

Pros

I find it very simple to navigate through. It is easy to set up collaborative tasks and track team productivity.

Cons

I have to enter my tasks manually to track my tasks and timing. It also does not seem to give me an accurate overview of my week's tasks and productivity.

Nice interface and easy to use, lots of features

Pros

The interface is exactly what I need, easy to use and find what I am looking for. It also allows my team to communicate with clients and get feedback. I can assign tasks, view the calendar, upload files, and I like that I can reply via email and that there is time tracking included. I also like that there's a free 30-day trial that does not require me to add my credit card. One thing that really stands out is the sales section, where I can see submitted proposals (including estimate amounts) and see them 'In Negotiation,' so I can keep track of projects that have not even started yet and then convert them to projects.

Cons

The fact that they charge per user is not all that great because the number of users changes all the time, depending on the project, so there is no way to plan my monthly budget (if you are a small company, that matters).

Intuitive and accessible

Pros

I like how I can access it from anywhere with the mobile app or from any browser. It's a great tool for sharing projects with teammates in real time and an excellent project management tool!

Cons

I wish there was a way to create a unique number for each project to track projects numerically as new projects come in and make it easier to archive and retrieve in the future.

A must-have business tool for a software development agency.

Pros

I love the time tracking, budgeting, reporting, and invoicing features. From a manager's standpoint, this software covers all my business needs. The reporting system gives me an in-depth review in terms of cost/revenue structure, profitability, time spent, project success, employee utilization, and more.

Cons

Our developers struggle using the task management feature, and we're currently developing a new framework that can easily be used in Productive.

Pros

I like the built-in time management. The ability to bill to two different business entities is crucial for our combined organization.

Cons

The design could use some polish. There are no notes on individual tasks. Really, though, my biggest hang-up is that the design is not great.

We are AdAgency and PR Firm, Productive is the ideal project management tool.

Pros

I value the ease of use and the ability for everything to be self-contained within the software. There is no need to email or to email docs.

Cons

I have not found any issues yet. I am a new user, but I don't anticipate any problems. I will be eliminating Clients and Profits over the next few months and begin using Intuit for billing. That transition looks to be easy as well.

All-in-one agency management software

Pros

It is integrated sales, project management, time tracking, team scheduling, and invoicing software. It includes most of the tools I need to manage an agency in one place. If I want to run my agency the Productive.io way, this tool will integrate my whole business.

Cons

The tool does everything, which means that I'll be best off running my business and using the tool exactly as the developers intended, which takes some getting used to. For a tool that is meant to do everything, it does not really cater to the power user a lot. There are few keyboard shortcuts and I'll be clicking a lot. The tool can be buggy and slow at times, and there is no offline support. Using Productive.io will create a HUGE single point of failure for my company.

Very robust system that accomplishes a lot

Pros

The profitability is the most compelling part for me. I know exactly how much I actually spent on a project and how much came in.

Cons

Learning to use the software took some time because it has some interesting requirements. I wish it were a bit more flexible, such as allowing for deleting versus archiving if a mistake is made, and archiving with live budgets.

Productive is very modern and one of the only places you can get good Project Financials

Pros

The project financial management is very strong for a tool at this price. The UI is modern and easy for our staff to use.

Cons

The reporting is designed to conform too much to a specific model, rather than being more open-ended. Also, it would be good to have custom fields or more ways to categorize projects.

Simple, fuss-free and meets all our needs as a growing agency.

Pros

My main issue in the past with other software was that they were too complex, had too many features, or had too much of a learning curve. Productive, on the other hand, is easy to understand and start working with from day one. My team has been using Productive for almost two months now, and we are active on it daily. The main features I use are creating sales (which are essentially leads), creating projects (new client projects for us), calculating project costs, creating tasks and assigning them to team members, and sharing the project with clients via the dashboard. Also, Productive has outstanding customer service, I just received a letter in the mail today from their team, which proves they are ready to go above and beyond for their users. Lastly, their price point is unbeatable. The pricing page says it all, and compared to other software out there, Productive is easily the best value for money.

Cons

I encountered a small bug with the hourly rate when creating a new project.

Pros

I find it to be simply great value for money, offering tons of features in a very easy-to-use interface. I wholly recommend it.

Cons

The only thing is that the software is meant more for agencies with more staff, whereas I tend to use it solo for 90% of the time, which means some features go unused.

Moving our studio over to productive has been a game changer.

Pros

I managed to transition four different software applications into one, saving monthly costs and improving our efficiency in running our studio.

Cons

I really do not have much negative to say. There are a few additional features I like, but it is great that they publish their development roadmap, so I can see these features are coming.

I really like the tool as a designer, but have my doubts as a projectmanager

Pros

The time tracking and insights are fantastic. I almost never forget to track my hours, and I can easily see how much time I spend on each project.

Cons

The invoicing features! I can not make our invoices the way I want to and have to do double the work now. :(

Easy to use, user-friendly interface, nice design, has much useful stuff.

Pros

I enjoy connecting my words with photos using just one monkey :) The schedule option is great too, and I frequently use custom tags.

Cons

I have several boards for one project, and when I move tasks from one board to another, I do NOT know where they go. It is easy when I am the owner of the project, but when I am working on other projects, I just don't know where to put things. My suggestion is that when I'm on one board, I should only see task lists from that board.

A great tool that gets the work done, while being easy to use.

Pros

Their UX details that make everyday tasks like logging time simpler. Over time, it's become more straightforward, requiring fewer and fewer clicks to perform the desired action.

Cons

The software is "opinionated" in terms of data/information architecture (clients/budgets/expenses/invoices/etc.), meaning I have to follow the logic of the application.
