As a rapidly growing organization, we needed a solution to scale effectively. After exploring various options, we chose ProjectWorks, primarily for its seamless integration with Xero and efficient timesheet management.

I find it convenient to handle parent-child projects with Projectworks. While it allows tracking separate budgets and time within a project, I am eagerly waiting for the upcoming feature to track resourcing by budget, expected in late 2023.

The entire software is very easy to use and intuitive. The interface is well developed and requires almost no training to get accustomed to. All of our staff find it incredibly straightforward to use and find metrics at the press of a button. It keeps updating regularly so we know whatever data is being entered is current and happens in real-time. It offers greater accountability and any mistake can be corrected immediately rather than discovered them once the entry is complete. The support team is excellent at answering all our questions.

Cons

Reporting should be improved quite a lot. I really appreciate that they did it differently and surely put effort behind it, but it is still difficult to use since I do not have proper technical skills like coding. If nothing, there should at least be an “easy mode” for people like me. Project works have amazing analytics on screen, however, it can be difficult to share these in a different manner other than my screen. Sending it to any other screen messes up the formatting much like MS word.
