Helps me spot issues

Pros

I can quickly input data from our production lines and monitor scrap trends which helps me spot issues or potential problems and bring them to the attention of my quality manager and production manager effectively.

Cons

Can't isolate specific part numbers when I need to scrap just those items which limits how detailed my reports can get.

Pros

I appreciate how this tool lets me create different views of my data so I can focus on just the information that matters for whatever I'm working on at the moment.

Cons

I wish the search feature had more depth to it. Things like boolean searches or the ability to search across multiple fields would be really helpful. The filters can also be pretty confusing sometimes.

Pros

Managing data has become much easier since I can organize everything into different categories. It's an excellent tool for storing information, reviewing it later and building spreadsheets when needed.

Cons

Hard to get to pictures and documents when they're stacked up or attached to things.

simple to build apps

Pros

Building apps with this platform is very simple. I picked it up quickly and now create multiple applications for our company regularly. The layout makes everything user-friendly and the learning curve was much shorter than I expected.

Cons

The charting tools can be pretty frustrating when you're trying to customize them for specific needs and they don't always cooperate the way you'd expect.

Flexible software with helpful user community

Pros

I can go from just an idea to a working application in about an hour which is pretty nice. What I really appreciate is how flexible it remains. I'm not locked into my initial design and can easily modify or expand the system as needs change. The user community is really helpful when I run into issues and ChatGPT actually knows the platform well enough to provide solid guidance too. The pricing model is brilliant for us since it's based on usage rather than individual users so we can deploy it across our entire customer base without worrying about costs spiraling out of control.

Cons

Response times from the sales team can be frustratingly slow and I've noticed they lack the technical depth I'd prefer when discussing complex issues. It's also becoming clear that they're shifting focus toward bigger clients, smaller operations like mine with just 4 main applications and a few hundred mostly light users seem to be getting less attention when new features are released.

Boosted our profits

Pros

The way information flows and connects with clients has been amazing. Managing a remote team of 100 people with constantly changing details used to be a nightmare. Now our database setup makes distributing updates smooth. When clients are processing candidates, getting feedback to our recruiters happens instantly. We've definitely sped up our hiring process and boosted profits as a result.

Cons

I find myself doing way too much clicking to get anything done sometimes I jokingly call it "Clickbase" because of how many clicks simple tasks require. Without a development background, the whole system feels pretty overwhelming. Fortunately, I have an excellent support person at QuickBase who guides us through everything though it's definitely a lengthy process. I can see the potential though.

user-friendly platform

Pros

I found it to be userfriendly and filling out forms is not an issue. I've never run into any access problems or needed to reach out to support. Since I'm in there multiple times daily, I appreciate how fast I can complete and submit forms.

Cons

The only thing that bothers me is when I click on entry fields, previous entries pop up and I sometimes accidentally select one. This gets really annoying especially after I've already typed in my information, then I have to delete the wrong data I clicked by mistake. It would be great if this didn't happen so I could fill out forms faster.

Powerful features

Pros

Lets me quickly build database applications. The features are solid and the platform keeps getting better with regular updates. What really stands out is the extensive ecosystem, there are tons of third-party solutions and plugins that are both helpful and affordable.

Cons

Building custom UI applications can be quite challenging with this platform. For instance, I needed to capture signatures from mobile devices where users sign with their fingers or stylus but that functionality just isn't available. Though to be fair, it's a pretty specific use case so I'm not losing sleep over it.

ease of creating tools

Pros

I really appreciate how flexible this tool is when building data entry forms and reports. The creation process feels friendly and there are some powerful features that set it apart from other low-code database options I've tried.

Cons

Loved the old version

Pros

Enjoyed working with the previous version. It was simple and I could enter all my data without any issues.

Cons

The interface feels complex. I'm not a fan of how they organized all those side tabs and it makes everything feel cluttered. Filtering results is way more complicated than it should be. My boss and I spent way too much time last week trying to get the filters to work properly but we ended up just doing everything by hand instead.

Helpful online resources

Pros

The automation features are fantastic and I love how the low code environment makes everything so uncomplicated. There's also a wealth of online resources available which really helps when you're getting started or trying to figure something out.

Cons

Main issue I have is that most training resources weren't available when I first started building apps. Back then, it felt like learning through trial and error since training was mostly informal and word-of-mouth. This shaky foundation led me to develop some poor building habits early on. Most problems I face are actually due to my own bad practices like not properly documenting use-cases which becomes a real headache down the line.

Uploading pics is time consuming

Pros

I love how it helps us keep detailed records of our work and maintain quality standards. It's great for organizing each job site and documenting everything we complete, that's honestly my favorite feature about it.

Cons

Picture uploads take forever and only one person can do it at a time. The whole process is painfully slow and really needs to be faster.

Pros

The reporting features have been useful for pulling together meaningful data that really makes an impact.

Cons

The new left navigation panel is pretty annoying. Whenever my cursor gets near that side of the screen, it pops out unexpectedly and I end up clicking somewhere I didn't mean to. Then I'm suddenly in a completely different section than where I wanted to be. I can pin it open but then it just eats up more screen real estate. Not a dealbreaker but definitely frustrating.
