“Communication without Project Management
Pros
Slack simplifies internal communication, allowing for quick exchanges on the go.
Cons
It is challenging to link communication directly to specific tasks and projects without setting up integrations. Even with integrations, it's often easier to use a dedicated project management tool.

“Very effective communication tool for companies
Pros
I appreciate having both desktop and mobile apps at my disposal, with the huddle feature being particularly impressive. It eliminates the need for other platforms for calls, even offering screen-sharing capabilities plus the ability to send notes to myself is a handy addition.
Cons
It could be made more user-friendly. For instance, the design of message threads could be improved, and I wish there were more customization options available.

“Integral to internal communications.
Pros
The seamless integration of Slack with various third-party software used at my workplace is its standout feature for me. Expanding its capabilities through integration has minimized the need to switch between different apps, thus saving time and optimizing day-to-day operations.
Cons
Using Slack poses the risk of information overload, especially in companies like mine with a large workforce, leading to numerous team channels. There have been instances where important messages got lost among the flood of notifications.

“Life saver for remote teams
Pros
In my opinion, Slack is the quintessential tool for enabling and enhancing remote work productivity. When set up efficiently, its combination of channels and direct messages replicates a physical workspace, fostering efficient and effective communication, with the added benefits of conversation recording, searchability, and categorization. I am genuinely enthusiastic about Slack!
Cons
I do not have many criticisms for Slack; I am really satisfied with how it functions. While I have heard colleagues mention that the notifications can be distracting, I have managed to devise a system that enhances my productivity rather than hampers it. However, it can be challenging collaborating with people who are not familiar with Slack.

“The Fastest Way to Communicate with Your Team
Pros
With team members scattered across different time zones, reaching them via email is not always feasible. Slack comes to the rescue, offering a swift way to connect with remote colleagues without cluttering up my inbox, ensuring prompt responses to queries.
Cons
I really wish there was a quicker way for me to mute or unmute notifications temporarily. Often, when I jump into a virtual meeting, I end up having to shut down the entire Slack app just to ensure that notifications won't interrupt the meeting.

“One of the best software for team communication and collaboration
Pros
With instant messaging and channels for team-wide communication, Slack has become even more indispensable. The screen-sharing feature and integration with various apps further elevate its usefulness.
Cons
new updates bring UI changes that are not user-friendly. Unlike competitors like MS Teams or Zoom, there is no screen recording option. For logging or managing app preferences, it redirects to a web page.
