“plenty of useful tools”
Pros
Getting around it is very simple and it makes communication with coworkers quick and efficient. It comes with plenty of useful tools and the ability to connect it with other applications makes it even more practical.
Cons
Honestly, I haven't run into any issues with it. If anything, it even includes a bot that helps you learn how to use the platform.

“Keeps every stakeholder aligned on project updates”
Pros
Keeping work communication organized with Slack is very simple and setting up channels makes it much easier to keep every stakeholder aligned on project updates and status.
Cons
Mobile notifications tend to arrive a bit quicker than the ones on my laptop. There's sometimes a slight delay although that could be related to the internet connection rather than Slack itself.

“Diverse communication options”
Pros
Between team chats and client conversations, this platform gives me every communication option I need. The search tools, integrations and overall functionality are hard to beat unless you're using a full project management platform like Teams or Basecamp.
Cons
If anything, it can make me reachable for work more often although that also has a benefit. I can basically shut work off just by disabling notifications which is a lot better than email since email always feels like it's on.

“No confusing steps”
Pros
Right from the start, the interface feels very simple to use. There aren't any hidden features or confusing steps so doing what you need is simple. It's a very uncomplicated app on the surface yet it can still be used in more advanced and complex ways when needed.
Cons
I really haven't run into any major downsides. It does seem to go down occasionally although I'm not sure whether that's actually the app itself or more of an internet-related issue.

“Feels personal”
Pros
Working with people spread across different parts of the world feels much more personal with Slack. I haven't even met many of my teammates in person but the messaging style makes communication feel lighter and more natural than email so I stay connected to everyone much more easily. As a freelancer, I'm also part of multiple teams and channels and I really appreciate that they stay organized without getting mixed up which gives me extra peace of mind and security.
Cons
One challenge is that, even though the search works really well, it can still be difficult to keep up with everything happening in a large team. With lots of threads and message streams going at once, it's pretty easy to miss something important. That may be more about how a company uses it than the platform itself. It can also turn into a major time sink if you're not careful. Still, the advantages definitely outweigh the drawbacks especially if the goal is to improve communication.

“A must-have for team communication”
Pros
It feels like the go-to tool for team communication especially with useful features like its search function. Being able to search through conversations becomes incredibly important as communication grows across different teams. A lot of the time, it has practically replaced email for us since most discussions happen there now. The mobile app is also really good which helps people stay connected anytime and from anywhere. On top of that, it offers plenty of integrations with other tools which makes day-to-day work much more convenient.
Cons
There honestly is not much to point out here, as I have not really run into any limitations.

“Ideal for professional communication”
Pros
Given the choice, I'd use it for every bit of my professional communication. If I could connect it to LinkedIn, my website and even email, I absolutely would. It's incredibly flexible, simple to use and has everything I need to communicate with the business world.
Cons
In the beginning, it felt a little overwhelming and leaving groups I had joined was harder than I expected. Now that I'm familiar with it though, I think it's amazing.

“Clean chat organization”
Pros
It works really well as a professional communication tool for team chats and collaboration and it keeps conversations and information easy to track down. The many message editing options are useful and being able to organize discussions into group chats helps a lot.
Cons
When trying to add or remove a lot of people at once, mass adding and mass deleting users was a bit difficult.

“Awesome discussion platform”
Pros
Slack works really well as a discussion platform for chatting, sharing files and even keeping up with task management. It brings those functions together in a practical way and makes team communication feel more organized.
Cons
There really isn't anything I dislike about this tool. The only downside is that not many organizations use it and there's only limited information or notes about it available online.

“Really important part of how we operate”
Pros
Working remotely every day, I rely on it heavily for team communication and it's become a really important part of how we stay connected. It helps keep conversations organized through threads and channels and the integrations with other tools are really useful for keeping track of activity in one place.
Cons
After recently trying its video conferencing, it became clear that it has its limits. It works fine for quick one-on-one calls but for meetings with multiple people, screen sharing or presentations, we still have to switch over to different software.

“Lovely notifications and follow-ups”
Pros
Keeping conversations and collaboration in one place makes it simple to stay connected with colleagues. It can take over a lot of day-to-day tasks too like reminders, notifications and follow-ups. You can organize just about everything into its own channel which helps keep discussions clear and focused.
Cons
The notifications can be a bit much although they can be turned off. If the platform isn't managed well, it can also end up hurting productivity instead of helping it.

“Best for multi-client communication”
Pros
Handling communication across multiple clients has been much better with this platform. Being able to create separate workspaces and manage each one efficiently is easily the standout feature for me. I'm genuinely loving how well it fits the way I work.
Cons
File sharing especially from external platforms like Google Drive, still doesn't feel good enough and could definitely be improved.

“Info becomes accessible”
Pros
Our team uses Slack strictly for chat and it works really well for keeping everyone in the loop. Everyone can access the same information and we use it for both casual, fun conversations and important updates that the whole team needs to see.
Cons
Channels can't be deleted. Whenever someone leaves the practice, we end up having to create a brand-new channel just to remove them from the chat. At this point, we're running out of channel names like "new team," "updated team," and even "new new team."

“Faster teamwork and better collaboration”
Pros
Instead of waiting on emails or calling a coworker, I can get answers to work questions almost immediately. It helps move tasks along faster while still offering a lot of fun features. I enjoy how quickly I can connect with colleagues, share documents of any size and keep work moving efficiently. One of the best parts is being able to collaborate with people from other companies on the same platform rather than sitting around for an email reply. It also makes communication across the company much more convenient and features like creating channels, muting them and customizing notifications help me prioritize the messages that matter most. On top of that, the app lets me set reminders, start quick Zoom calls and connect with other apps.
Cons
Getting used to the commands can be a little confusing for new users. There are also some issues with file storage and I can't send files directly from other applications into Slack. Even with those drawbacks, it is still worth trying.

“core communication tool for us”
Pros
It has become a core communication tool for our team especially as conversations scale across different groups. One feature that really matters is search since it makes it possible to quickly find past discussions when the volume of communication gets high. In many situations, it has practically replaced email because so much of our day-to-day communication happens there now. The mobile app is also very well done and keeps people reachable from anywhere at any time. On top of that, it connects with a wide range of other tools which makes daily work much more convenient.
Cons
I honestly have very little to complain about here because I haven't really run into any major limitations. Even the idea that it was only a communication app doesn't really apply anymore since its integrations with most of the other software tools we use have removed that concern.

“Professional tool for sharing updates”
Pros
Been a very professional and reliable tool for team communication, project management and sharing updates. It works really well for organizing individual channels for different projects and teams which keeps everything structured. The webhook feature is also a big plus since it lets you integrate Slack with your own web systems.
Cons
Up to this point, I haven't come across any downsides. It has been a really useful part of my daily work for managing tasks with the team and staying in touch whenever needed. I also use both the desktop and mobile apps without any issues.
