It works really well as a team chat app. The feature I appreciate most is being able to set up separate channels for different topics which keeps conversations organized.

Cons

When I tried using the API to build some automated personal notifications, the setup process felt a bit difficult to get working.

Being able to share files and keep conversations organized in separate threads makes communication much more manageable.

The document preview features aren't very advanced so if you need to see the formatting correctly, you still have to download the file.

The weak spot for me is the search feature especially the results it returns. I'm not able to properly filter or sort them.

Using it since 2021, I've really enjoyed features like creating Canvas making lists, setting reminders to revisit messages and grabbing links to earlier conversations. Those tools make it much easier to stay organized and keep track of important discussions.

The sudden price hike felt like a bait-and-switch and pushed us to move elsewhere. We switched to Zulip which turned out to be better for us in almost every respect.

Company communication really runs on this platform for us. It's very user-friendly to use and the growing set of features has made it much easier to scale and stay organized with both internal and external conversations.

Pricing feels pretty high especially as the team gets bigger. We were also recently told there would be a new cap of 10 connected apps, with a 40% price increase if we went over that, after previously having unlimited connections. Even though they reversed that decision quickly, it still caused a lot of wasted time on our end reviewing and evaluating our integrations.

Getting a handle on every feature can take a bit of time and there always seems to be another tool or function hidden as you dig deeper.

Handling office communication with Slack feels very simple. It keeps me updated every time a notification comes in and the interface looks modern while still being user-friendly and simple to navigate for everyday tasks.

I'm happy with the app the way it is. My only concern is that it shouldn't lag because aside from that, it works really well. It's used daily at my workplace and even at my friends' workplaces for regular activities and operations.

It feels very user-friendly, has a modern design and includes fun options like sending GIFs and emojis. The group chats work really well and it also lets you make calls which makes communication much more complete.

When I'm part of several workspaces, it can be confusing to tell which one I'm currently in.

it has been really useful for staying in touch with my work team, whether I'm on my computer or using my phone. One thing I especially enjoy is being able to manage and switch between multiple workspaces within the same app.
