“Most powerful collaboration tool”
Pros
Slack is the most powerful collaboration tool we use and it handles communication at every level of the organization. It has become our go-to app for sharing information and staying connected day to day. The integrations, workflows, channels, group messaging and similar features are really the strongest parts of the platform.
Cons
Would be nice to have more flexibility with polls and the built-in apps. I'd definitely welcome any additional features they decide to add in the future.

“Helps us share productivity updates”
Pros
Our team uses it for everyday communication, quick questions and ongoing conversations. It also helps us share productivity updates and reporting which makes tracking work much more organized.
Cons
A few of the premium features are locked behind higher-tier plans so they are not available on the lower-priced account.

“Fast, reliable, efficient”
Pros
It has been quick, dependable and simple to use. One feature I really want to point out is that when someone hasn't used the app for over a month, their license automatically stops taking up a seat so you don't keep getting charged for an inactive user.
Cons
Things can become pretty disorganized and without clear rules in place, keeping track of channels can start to feel difficult.

“Managing a team feels easy”
Pros
Working with a team feels much more manageable with this since it gives everyone a simple way to collaborate. It's also really useful that you can connect with other workspaces when your company is working with another organization.
Cons
A frustrating change in the recent update is that users are now filtered by who is currently online instead of by recent conversations or alphabetically. Because of that, names keep moving around in the sidebar automatically which makes it harder to quickly find the chat you need.

“Not hard to configure”
Pros
Not hard to configure. The interface is user-friendly, simple to understand and it doesn't take much time to find what you need. Another thing that genuinely stood out to me is that it manages to stay organized without feeling cluttered which makes daily use much more pleasant.
Cons
Cost is a bit high. It's really one of those tools that works best when the whole company is on it and the per-seat pricing can become hard to justify. For smaller businesses especially, the plans just don't scale very well and can get expensive fast.

“access controls work well”
Pros
Access control works really well. It's not restricted to just internal staff and we can also bring in people from outside the organization when needed which is very useful.
Cons
The huddle feature is the part I'm less satisfied with. It can get confusing sometimes especially when there's more than one huddle happening at the same time.

“great collaborative tool”
Pros
Getting around it feels very user-friendly so it's simple to follow and navigate. It works really well as a collaborative tool for internal teams and also for sharing updates across the wider company.
Cons
File sharing can feel a bit complex at times and downloading files directly from the platform is not always very simple.

“Links with Jira, Teamspective”
Pros
It works really well for everything we use it for, whether that's internal communication, staying connected with the open source community or chatting with external freelancers. It fits all of those situations khub naturally. Another big plus is the number of tools that integrate with it, like Jira, Teamspective and others. We've also connected it to some of our monitoring tools which has been very useful.
Cons
Setting up a new workspace or group feels a little more complicated than it ought to be. Also, the Linux client doesn't always launch properly when opening links to a chat message.

“Manage everything with Slack”
Pros
Everyday teamwork feels much more organized with Slack. It's the app we rely on most for internal messaging, sharing files and jumping into meetings so it has become our default collaboration tool.
Cons
The interface could probably be a bit more simplified. It's not bad as it is but I prefer very minimal designs so I know I'm being a little demanding.

“Chat function helps teams stay connected”
Pros
Across all the locations we support, the chat function helps our team stay connected and in sync. Huddles make it simple to jump into group conversations and collaborate quickly. There are plenty of features and settings we can tailor to match exactly how we work. The interface is well laid out and keeps people engaged and we can also set up alerts in specific channels so our NOC team stays informed about real-time issues.
Cons
it does not integrate with Microsoft Teams which makes communication harder with some clients who rely on that platform. The file size limits can also be frustrating when sharing photos or screenshots because they are not always convenient to open. It also lacks language controls and parental monitoring options.

“Supports my organization's needs”
Pros
It has made a real difference for me especially with how smooth the communication feels. Conversations happen in real time which makes collaborating with others feel much more natural. It also keeps the workspace organized by letting teams create dedicated channels for specific projects or departments. On top of that, the integrations with other tools like project management software, video meeting platforms and file-sharing services are incredibly useful. All of this has genuinely helped support and improve my organization's business needs.
Cons
in busy workspaces or highly active channels, the amount of information can become overwhelming. With messages and updates constantly coming in, it can be hard to stay on top of important discussions or quickly find the information that actually matters.

“Setting up workflows doesn’t take much effort”
Pros
Getting started with it was simple and moving around the platform feels user-friendly. Setting up workflows doesn't take much effort, the integrations are really useful and I also appreciate the free tier with connected apps included.
Cons
Bot development could be better. It seems like it should be more accessible even for technical users without a coding background but the documentation isn't clear or detailed enough to make that realistic.
