“Ability to pin topics for later reference”
Pros
It is convenient to work with and simple to navigate. Being able to pin topics for later reference is really useful and creating specialized channels helps keep conversations organized.
Cons
I miss the out-of-office pop-up since it was helpful to see that status at a glance.

“Feels concise”
Pros
Using it comes down to how simple it is. Everything feels clear and concise and it takes little to no training for someone to understand how to use it.
Cons
Some of the channels we rely on are time-sensitive. If there are unread messages sitting in other channels, the notification icon still stays lit. It would be really helpful to have a simpler way to mute less important channels or set high-priority notifications for the critical ones.

“Faster than many alternatives”
Pros
This has been a really positive experience. It's simple to use, comes with plenty of plugins and makes messaging, calling and file sharing fast to get started with. Switching between different teams feels effortless especially compared with tools like Teams. Threaded replies in chats and channels are also a really nice touch. On top of that, it feels much lighter and faster than many alternatives while still offering a full feature set.
Cons
I don't really have any complaints. It's an excellent product overall.

“Communication flows naturally”
Pros
The biggest benefit has been how naturally communication flows through the platform. The channel organization keeps conversations structured, the integrations connect well with the rest of our tools and the search and archive functions make it quick to pull up past messages. I also appreciate the customizable notifications and the well-designed mobile and desktop apps. Altogether, these features have made teamwork more collaborative, productive and accessible.
Cons
There are still a few areas that could be better. New users may need some time to get comfortable with the platform and managing notifications across multiple channels can be a bit tricky. The pricing for advanced features also feels high and integration management could be more simple. Search works well overall but there is still room to improve it. Even with those drawbacks, it remains a valuable and widely used communication and collaboration tool for teams.

“Useful for sharing daily updates”
Pros
Slack's search has been incredibly helpful for our team communication especially when we need to go back and find specific conversations later. It's been particularly useful for sharing daily updates on where things stand in our processes which helps make sure everyone stays informed and on the same page especially since the status of our elections and the related directives seem to shift so often.
Cons
I'm not fully satisfied with the notifications feature. I do want to receive notifications but I'd really appreciate having more choices for the alert sounds. Overall though, we're happy with it and this feels like a pretty minor issue.

“Lets you have separate private chats”
Pros
Quite easy to use. It covers everything from file sharing to team or client conversations and it helps keep tasks organized and tracked until they're finished. It's also useful that you can have separate private chats with individual teammates or clients whenever needed.
Cons
We use it at work and it has been really impressive. I honestly haven't run into any downsides with this app.

“Pleased with our decision”
Pros
After trying around 10 to 12 different tools I ended up moving all of our communication, file sharing, project management and internal discussions onto Slack. The decision came down to its pricing, accessibility, quick deployment and the features that actually make a difference especially threaded conversations and bookmarks for sharing files. Real-time synchronization was another major reason I chose it. Picking Slack turned out to be one of the best decisions I've made for improving my workflow.
Cons
A few employees have mentioned that they temporarily lose access from time to time although I've never run into that issue myself. Even so, it's frustrating when so much of our communication depends on Slack and someone on the team suddenly can't log in.

“engaging features and excellent functionality”
Pros
Right away, it stood out for its engaging features and excellent functionality. It makes team collaboration, file sharing and meetings feel very simple so just about anyone can use it without much effort. We share files constantly in our day-to-day work and it manages that really well. Another big plus is how well it connects with third-party tools like Dropbox and Google Drive. I also installed it on both my phone and PC which helps me stay connected wherever I am.
Cons
There is a high volume of notifications which could feel overwhelming for some users. Other than that, I've barely had anything to complain about. I haven't run into any problems with the app and it honestly feels like it pulls together the best parts of every instant messaging platform I've used.

“conversations organized by topic”
Pros
Communication feels fast and efficient with its instant messaging, whether sending a quick note to one person, a group or the whole team. The channel-based setup is especially useful for keeping conversations organized by topic, project or department and threads make it easier to dive deeper into discussions without crowding the main chat. Notifications and mentions also do a good job of keeping everyone updated since alerts can be tailored for direct messages, mentions or even certain keywords. On top of that, file sharing and collaboration work really well for day-to-day teamwork.
Cons
There are also plenty of additional capabilities beyond the core features, including voice and video calling, screen sharing and workflow automation. Which feature matters most really depends on the team or individual using it since priorities can vary a lot based on specific needs and use cases.

“Keeps task discussions active”
Pros
Keeping task discussions active with the team and clients takes very little time on Slack which makes communication fast and convenient. The notifications are also really useful and help make sure nothing important gets missed.
Cons
It would be even better if the platform offered stronger video meeting and conference calling features to provide more complete support.

“Love the notification system”
Pros
A really nice way to manage threaded conversations. Uploading files and images is simple, the multiple channels are excellent for keeping groups and discussions organized and the mobile app works amazingly well. I also really love the notification system.
Cons
It does take a little time to understand how everything works at first. Inviting people from outside the company can be somewhat tricky and since a lot of people do not reply in threads properly some discussions become harder to follow. Finding specific posts can also be a bit challenging.

“essential for team communication”
Pros
It is something our feature team uses every single day and we'd be lost without it. It makes discussing all of our active projects really simple and keeps communication flowing.
Cons
There's not much to complain about. Every now and then, I miss a message because once I look at it, it gets marked as read and then I may forget to return to it later. That feels more like user error than an issue with the software itself.

“awesome file-sharing feature”
Pros
Dedicated channels for teams, projects and topics keep conversations well organized so it's simple to track down specific discussions, files and important information later. The file-sharing feature is also a big plus especially the drag-and-drop option. It works nicely with services like Google Drive and Dropbox and being able to preview files right inside the platform is really convenient.
Cons
There is some offline support but it's fairly limited. When I'm offline or dealing with a weak internet connection, I can't reliably access messages or files.
