“Top-tier professional tool”
Pros
It has been a really strong professional tool for keeping a company organized. It works especially well for creating subcommittees and assigning or sharing tasks across teams.
Cons
The interface is not the most visually appealing but the organizational features more than make up for that weakness.

“Lovely UI customization features”
Pros
Keeping in touch with my team felt effortless using this. The chat tools ensured smooth conversations and kept things casual without losing productivity. A lot of my coworkers also liked the UI customization features since they could personalize their accounts and make them feel a bit more their own. On top of that, I think it offers excellent value for the price.
Cons
An issue that came up from time to time was mobile notifications not appearing even when they were enabled. Because of that, several team members missed important updates or replied to urgent matters later than they should have.

“Organizes the whole team”
Pros
it is very simple to use and the way threads and discussions are organized works really well. It helps keep the whole team aligned at all times and anyone in the company can clearly see and understand what the rest of the team is working on.
Cons
Notifications in the "activity" section sometimes stay there even after I've already checked the item. Because of that, I usually end up just ignoring them.

“multi-purpose communication platform”
Pros
This works really well as a multi-purpose communication platform and it gives a much better experience when collaborating with cross-cultural teams.

At times, the flood of notifications coming in from all the different channels I'm part of can feel a bit overwhelming.

“Useful for school projects”
Pros
Chatting with friends and teammates is really convenient here. The channels do a good job of keeping conversations organized and that makes it especially useful for school projects and group work.
Cons
The constant flow of messages can get pretty noisy. The free version also feels limited and it can sometimes be difficult to dig up older messages.

“Threads and huddles keep work moving”
Pros
It is part of my daily routine at work. I use it constantly to message coworkers directly, reply in threads and stay current with different channels and group conversations. It makes working and communicating with my team feel very smooth. A few features stand out in particular, threads help keep discussions organized, huddles make it quick to jump on a call with colleagues and the activity tab is really useful for catching recent updates and knowing what needs follow-up.
Cons
There really are not many downsides but every now and then certain features have issues. I have noticed slow search performance some lag and occasional sluggish responsiveness. Most recently, search was not returning any results at all. That said, these problems usually seem tied to temporary bugs or service incidents and Slack typically acknowledges them and resolves them within an hour or two.

“Well designed chat section”
Pros
Slack feels like excellent value for the money. The customization options are really useful and make the platform much more convenient to use. The chat section is well designed and enjoyable to work with and the customer support team has been helpful whenever needed. On top of that, it's very user-friendly and simple to get around.
Cons
The only issue I've been dealing with is the occasional bugs. It would definitely be better if those were fixed but aside from that, I don't really have any other complaints.

“Integrates with Google Drive and Zoom”
Pros
It keeps team communication quick and convenient. I can set up separate channels for different topics or projects which helps keep everything well organized. It also integrates with tools like Google Drive and Zoom so my work stays in one place. I can store files there too and they feel secure.
Cons
One thing that gets frustrating is the number of notifications. At times there are just too many and after a while they start to feel overwhelming and irritating.

“Weak support and recurring bugs”
Pros
At its core, it's just a fairly standard chat app. It does the job well enough overall, provided you can overlook the occasional bugs that pop up here and there.
Cons
Customer support is very weak. Needs major improvements.

“Simple set up”
Pros
Getting started with it was incredibly simple and using it day to day feels very simple. It also has a huddle feature that lets you jump in and talk with coworkers in real time which is really useful.
Cons
At first, a few features like search can feel a bit confusing but once you get the hang of how they work, they become very helpful.

“Easy to operate”
Pros
It is very user-friendly, the free plan is more than sufficient for a lot of organizations and it works well for just about any team setup.
Cons
Some integrations with other services can be a little finicky although it's hard to tell whether that comes from Slack or the third-party tools. I'm also not crazy about channels or DMs getting hidden after being inactive for a while though that's more of a personal preference.

“Slack powers all our communication”
Pros
It has become the go-to tool for both internal and external communication since just about everyone is already on it. It offers a ton of flexibility, whether you want to customize workflows, connect integrations or build apps around it. In our organization, it has pretty much replaced email altogether.
Cons
The only real drawback, depending on how you look at it, is the cultural adjustment that comes with moving away from an email-based organization. With chat-driven communication, there's definitely more of an always-on feeling compared with slower, asynchronous communication.

“Faster team communication”
Pros
Team communication feels much faster, more organized and a lot easier to search through. Channels and threads do a good job of keeping discussions focused, while DMs work really well for quick coordination. The integrations with tools like Jira, alerts and others also help bring workflows into one central place.
Cons
In larger or very active workspaces, the number of notifications can get overwhelming at times. Keeping channels organized over the long run also takes some discipline, otherwise things can start to feel cluttered.

“Helpful search feature”
Pros
This program keeps team communication well organized with channels and that structure makes it much easier to keep conversations sorted by topic. The integrations are a big plus too since it connects nicely with other tools we already use. The interface feels user-friendly so getting around the app doesn't take much effort and the search function is helpful when trying to dig up older information. Threaded conversations also do a good job of keeping replies grouped together instead of turning chats into complete chaos.
Cons
The constant stream of alerts can get overwhelming fast and becomes distracting during the workday. The pricing also feels steep especially once you hit the limits of the free plan. Message history restrictions on the free version are frustrating and the search experience can get cluttered when too much content builds up which makes finding the right thing less efficient than it should be.

“Exceptional for team communication and project management”
Pros
It has been an amazing product for us. The software is exceptional for team communication, project management, collaboration, file sharing and handling workflows all in one place.
Cons
The biggest concern is the subscription cost overall even though there is a free plan available, it only really covers about 90 days of use.

“Lets us create polls in channels”
Pros
A feature that's been especially helpful is the Google Calendar sync since I get a reminder notification one minute before each meeting and that keeps me on track. Setting up groups is also very simple, including groups with external users so we use it not only internally but also to stay in touch with outside providers. It also lets us create polls in channels and use templates for standardized messages which is really practical. On top of that, the newer AI features have been rolled out actively. It can generate recaps of received messages especially the long ones and that saves a lot of time when I don't need to read every less important message in full.
Cons
Nothing specific comes to mind. I haven't run into any issues or bugs so far. If I had to suggest something, it would be nice to have a few GIF options available even though it's meant for corporate use because my team still uses them from time to time.

“Cluttered chats”
Pros
It's a very fast way to communicate and one of the better parts is being able to contact people outside your organization too, just by finding them through their email address.
Cons
With all the chats, teams, groups and channels going on at once, communication can get pretty confusing and hard to follow. Because of that, it's very easy to overlook important messages.

“Can create smaller groups inside a larger organization”
Pros
It gives us a more private way to stay in touch with a group without needing to share all of our personal details with everyone involved. It's also helpful that you can create smaller groups inside a larger organization so every message doesn't have to go out to the entire company.
Cons
the interface doesn't feel very user-friendly especially when I need to invite a new person into a group. I've had to ask someone to walk me through that process more than once.

“Keeps everyone on the same page”
Pros
Working in a fast-moving sales environment, it keeps everyone across the company aligned. Setting up a channel with clients is also simple which makes it much faster to reach them directly when needed compared with more traditional communication methods. Their customer support team has been excellent as well, always helpful whenever we need assistance.
Cons
Honestly, I don't have any real complaints about it. I really enjoy being able to customize notifications for different channels although having even more flexibility there could make it better.

“Cool vibe for remote teams”
Pros
It brings a bit of personality and irreverence that really helps in remote and hybrid workplaces. It has that "cool kid" feel you just do not get from Teams or a lot of the other alternatives. On top of that, the app is excellent and very user-friendly.
Cons
Threads are not my preferred way to communicate. Having inline replies as an option instead of forcing a separate thread would be more useful in bigger groups or in longer, multitasking conversations. I also feel Teams handles calls in a more user-friendly and helpful way than Huddles. Even with that, I still prefer the overall Slack experience over Teams and especially over Google Chat.
