“Fast and responsive”
Pros
So easy to learn. The platform feels fast, responsive and the features are simple to use. It works really well for collaboration especially when working with a remote team.
Cons
Other than a few issues when uploading videos, I really don't have much to complain about. Some people mention that the storage limit on the free plan is too small but the paid option is reasonably priced anyway.

“Mobile-friendly team messaging”
Pros
Using it has been very convenient especially because it's simple to navigate and works really well on mobile. One of its best features is the ability to create multiple groups through channels and those can be organized separately for internal teams and external company users. It also lets you build mixed groups when needed which is very useful. On top of that, the APIs are simple to work with and integrate.
Cons
we're using this software as our main communication channel with vendors and I honestly haven't come across any drawbacks.

“Conversation doesn’t get lost”
Pros
Having separate channels and threaded conversations has made a big difference for us. It helps keep discussions focused on specific topics especially when something takes a while to resolve, without the conversation getting lost under a flood of other chat messages.
Cons
It's good to see they're developing meetings, calls and conference features. At the moment though, we're still relying on a different app for that.

“everyone stays updated”

Communicating across teams has never really been an issue with it. It makes huddles and meetings simple and sending important documents or files is easy. It also helps keep everyone updated without much effort.

“Better teamwork and communication”
Pros
It really improves collaboration and team management and it makes the flow of information much simpler across the team.
Cons
Getting started can still be a bit confusing for new users. A built-in guided tutorial would do a lot to help first-time users understand the features more quickly.

“Useful add-ons”
Pros
Not complicated at all. It makes chatting with the team simple and I can set up different groups to notify the right people when needed. Screen sharing and video calls work well most of the time and the add-ons are genuinely useful too.
Cons
The free plan is solid but the next paid tier feels overpriced considering it doesn't add that many features. I'd definitely like to see it cost a bit less. Another thing missing is a temporary channel mute option, right now it's either muted or not and having the ability to silence a channel for an hour during a meeting would be really helpful.

“Channel feature adds clarity”
Pros
Slack's channel feature has been a big plus for me. It adds a lot of structure and clarity to conversations by letting us group discussions by project, team, department and more. Because of that, following team communication feels much more simple since I always know which channel to check depending on the conversation I need to find.
Cons
It's an excellent communication platform for larger teams. That said, the screen sharing and video meeting features feel pretty average and that's my biggest concern with it.

“Helps bring out our company culture”
Pros
It connects with just about every app we rely on, either through built-in integrations or automation tools like Zapier. That makes communication and work visibility much more simple. The GIF support and custom emojis are also a nice touch because they help bring out our company culture and make the platform feel more aligned with our brand and values.
Cons
Right out of the box, the notification settings can be overwhelming depending on how your organization communicates. It doesn't just alert you for DMs but also for every channel message and even Google Workspace updates if that's connected to your IT setup. Because of that, it can take quite a while to turn off all the alerts you don't want. A guided setup or notification wizard for new users would make a big difference.

“Can quickly search old messages”
Pros
Being able to quickly search old messages or topics and set up channels without any hassle is probably my favorite part. The platform feels very user-friendly overall, whether I'm sending files, sharing links or connecting it with other apps. It has been really helpful for coordinating projects with team members and the brands we work with and I especially appreciate how many integrations it supports. Getting notifications for replies to comments in Google Sheets, starting Zoom calls right from the app and even linking my Google Calendar so alerts come in there too has made it a very useful hub for day-to-day work.
Cons
I would change how direct messages are organized because teammates can be hard to find once they disappear from the list. I also occasionally miss message notifications and I suspect that may happen because I use the app on both my computer and my phone.

“everything clicks naturally”
Pros
It brings a lot together in one place. Beyond working well as a team chat platform, it connects really nicely with tools like Jira and Confluence which makes day-to-day work much more convenient. The interface feels user-friendly and the overall setup is organized in a way that makes everything click naturally.
Cons
the guidance around adjusting more specific settings especially targeted notifications can be improved. Better tutorials or clearer instructions would make those fine-tuning options easier to understand.

“supports one-on-one conversations and group threads”
Pros
It has been a very simple platform for messaging across our remote team. It supports both one-on-one conversations and group threads which makes daily communication really convenient. We rely on it every single day.
Cons

“saves so much time”
Pros
Once you get familiar with where everything is, it is very simple to use. It saves a lot of time when it comes to team communication and works really well for sharing general updates about company changes or upcoming events.
Cons

“handy for sharing files and links”
Pros
Across the company, this platform makes communication really convenient. The standout feature is being able to create different groups for discussing specific topics or issues with the right people. It's also very handy for sharing files and links during conversations.
Cons
Keeping track of every conversation you're supposed to be part of can be tricky on this platform. One downside is that if nobody mentions your name in a thread, you may not get notified about all the new messages. Because of that, it's possible to miss important updates.

Pros
Between the strong search feature, being able to stay in touch from my phone, quick file sharing and even the fun emojis, Slack is genuinely enjoyable to use.

“Fast and reliable communication too”
Pros
Slack has been a fast and reliable communication tool for our team. It lets us create groups, add members without hassle and organize people into different channels based on whatever the team needs. I also appreciate that it keeps rolling out new features and gives us a chance to try out all kinds of functions.
Cons
