“Important part of web development work”
Pros
It has become a very important part of web development work. It's a valuable tool for team collaboration, remote work and a lot more.
Cons
It gives developers a flexible platform to collaborate. There can be a bit of complexity at the beginning but overall it's a good tool.

“Helps our remote team collaborate smoothly”
Pros
Slack is an user-friendly, flexible platform that's simple to use and helps our remote team collaborate smoothly even when we're spread across different locations.
Cons
The built-in video conferencing feels fairly basic compared with platforms like Teams. It would be much better with stronger features and a more polished interface.

“I enjoy everything about it”
Pros
Using this for the second time as my instant messaging software has reminded me why I enjoy it so much. It feels noticeably better than other messaging apps especially when it comes to notifications, photo and video sharing, screen sharing and the rest of its communication features. All of that helps create a really positive user experience, particularly when staying in touch with other users or collaborating with team members.
Cons
At this point, I haven't come across anything that feels like it needs improvement. Overall, it's doing an excellent job as a high-quality communication platform.

“Incredible file-sharing features”
Pros
As a blogger the communication and file-sharing features are exactly what I need and they've been the biggest highlight for me. Notifications, private messages and mentions also make staying on top of conversations really convenient. On top of that, the app runs reliably without lag or choppy performance which makes it even more enjoyable to use.
Cons
Audio and video calls still need serious improvement. The motion can feel choppy and the sound quality isn't always clear so it often misses that natural one-on-one conversation feel.

“Has everything we need”
Pros
We really appreciate being able to receive messages and notifications, make video calls, share files and present our screen to coworkers all in one place. It's a tool that truly has everything we need. We highly recommend it because it keeps us connected with our team at all times.
Cons
At the moment we haven't come across any downsides.

“structured collaboration”
Pros
Getting the team on board with Slack was really simple and organizing projects by channel makes day-to-day collaboration feel much more structured. My team genuinely enjoys using it because it's highly visual which helps them make quick decisions based on how projects are laid out at a glance.
Cons
it can be hard to fully disconnect. The notification settings aren't as user-friendly as they could be especially when trying to manage boundaries and maintain a better work-life balance.

“Appreciate the mobile app”
Pros
Using it feels very simple and the notifications come through in real time. The mobile app makes it simple for the team to stay connected from anywhere and the huddle feature works really well for quick team meetings and instant conferencing.
Cons
I really do not have any major complaints about this software. It does crash once in a while but that seems to be related to system errors rather than the software itself.

“Useful bot”
Pros
Keeping a workplace connected is where this software really shines. It lets us create separate channels for different projects which keeps conversations organized and much easier to follow. The bot is helpful for all kinds of tasks and setting reminders makes it simple to stay on top of pending work. Huddle is another feature we rely on a lot especially because the audio and video quality is excellent. Being able to join multiple workplaces is also very convenient and has been genuinely useful. Sending larger files is not a problem and the integrations with tools like Jira, Trello and GitHub add a lot of value to daily collaboration.
Cons
we can't access older messages because our current plan doesn't include that feature. The pricing also feels a bit expensive for smaller companies. On top of that, Huddles can disconnect when the internet connection is weak.

“Different spaces for different teams”
Pros
Project managers or team leads can set up separate spaces for different teams that are all contributing to the same project which keeps communication organized.
Cons
Notifications feel lacking. It would be much better if the product offered quicker and more convenient mobile alerts for users.

“Connected workflow”
Pros
Integrates well with the key software tools I use all the time. That lets me access and use those tools directly inside the app instead of constantly jumping between different applications while working. It makes my overall workflow feel more connected and improves the experience for me.
Cons
The built-in screen sharing and video conferencing options are a weak point though. Compared with dedicated video conferencing platforms, those default features just don't measure up.

“simplest by far”
Pros
Compared with other workplace messaging tools I've used, this one is by far the simplest to manage. Connecting with teammates feels very natural and notifying an entire channel when needed is simple. On the admin side, bringing in new users and creating or removing accounts only takes a single click which makes daily management really convenient.
Cons
I'd still like to see deeper UI customization. There are a few settings for colors and notification sounds but similar to streaming apps, it would be nice to have options like sound previews or even custom wallpapers.

“I always recommend it”
Pros
Back when it was just getting started, it quickly became my first choice and I've kept recommending it to colleagues ever since. It's a very simple chat platform to work with and the interface still feels like one of the best in this category. I've used Microsoft Teams too but that feels much more like a formal office product, whereas Slack actually feels like a modern messaging app with a youthful, trendy vibe. On top of that, it looks polished and offers plenty of customization options.
Cons
Something that really bothers me is the lag and how many system resources it uses especially as a desktop app instead of running it in a browser tab. It can noticeably slow down my computer and that's a major downside.

“Basic interface that works well”
Pros
Quite easy to handle. The app is user-friendly, simple to navigate and easy to understand, with a basic interface that really works well for us as users.
Cons
profile information section can be improved. It would be better if they polished it a bit more, more in line with social media platforms so the details are easier to read and follow.

“Handy keyboard shortcuts”
Pros
the polished interface is amazing, the handy keyboard shortcuts like Command+K for Mac users and how many other tools it connects with.
Cons
Honestly there is nothing about it that I dislike. The only caution is that, depending on your company culture and whether you keep the app on your phone, it can start to take over your life pretty quickly.

“Amazing built-in screen drawing tool”
Pros
It has been really excellent for collaboration. The huddle feature comes in handy a lot and feels like the closest thing to having casual conversations with coworkers while working remotely. The built-in screen drawing tool is also incredibly useful.
Cons

“Channel-based communication done right”
Pros
A lot of the communities I'm already involved in use it which makes it really convenient. Moving smoothly from one group to another works very well and being able to message people directly or chat with a team feels spot on. The option to create channels for different discussions also helps members stay organized and makes it much easier to know where to look for answers or past conversations.
Cons
It could offer a few more features but the ones it already has work perfectly.

“Dedicated workspaces for collaboration”
Pros
Slack gives our team dedicated workspaces where we can collaborate, communicate and stay focused on specific projects together. It's a really strong tool for keeping teamwork organized.
Cons
One downside is that it needs a very reliable internet connection to work properly. If the connection is weak, it can take a long time to load or sometimes not load at all.

“essential calling features”
Pros
Being able to organize conversations into different chats depending on the topic is something I really value since it lets me include only the people who may actually be interested in each discussion. The calling and video calling options are also essential. On top of that, sharing files directly in a chat while talking through a specific issue is a feature I use a lot and really appreciate.
Cons
Even though I have it set up to send me notifications when messages arrive in a certain chat, they sometimes don't come through on the Windows app.

“Crucial for organizing everything”
Pros
Getting started with Slack was quick and using it day to day has been just as simple. It connects with almost every other app or service I use which is absolutely crucial for keeping everything in one place. On top of that, the support team has been excellent whenever needed.
Cons
At this point I don't really have any complaints. Sure, the app has the occasional bug now and then but the developers tend to fix those very quickly.
