“Code sharing made easy”
Pros
Slack makes code sharing really practical and reviewing code feels much simpler here. A lot of other communication tools don't offer that kind of functionality so it stands out in a useful way.
Cons
Keeping up with conversations can be a little confusing especially when someone responds inside a thread and it's not immediately obvious where to check it. Threading is a really helpful feature when people use it properly but some users may still find it hard to stay on top of all their active threads.

“Agile teamwork tool”
Pros
It has been a very agile tool to work with. It's simple to use and really helps with managing work, setting priorities and keeping the team more organized overall.
Cons
Honestly, it feels like a very complete tool as it is and I wouldn't add anything else to it.

“Team communication standard”
Pros
it has turned into one of the simplest chat tools for companies of nearly any size. It's basically the go-to standard for team communication now especially for remote teams.
Cons
An issue I did run into was file sharing. It's definitely not well suited for larger files although I understand that isn't really what it was built for.

“simple layout”
Pros
The interface felt simple to navigate and the channels plus instant messaging made teamwork and collaboration much more efficient.
Cons
tracking down files that had already been shared was frustrating. Video calls also tended to lag whenever the VPN was turned on.

“Pleased with the performance”
Pros
It has an user-friendly interface that's very simple to manage and the way it keeps information organized really helps us in our work. Being able to interact across multiple channels at the same time makes communication much more practical and by the end of the day it leaves me feeling genuinely satisfied with how everything flows.
Cons
We really don't have anything to complain about. It does exactly what it's supposed to do and it handles that efficiently.

“strongest instant messaging tool”
Pros
One of the strongest instant messaging tools out there. It covers everything you'd expect, including channel conversations, team-wide discussions and one-on-one chats. It also includes video calling and screen sharing, just like other platforms in this space. A few things I especially appreciate, first, you can reply to messages in threads which keeps separate topics organized under each message instead of mixing everything into the main chat. That makes conversations much cleaner and more efficient especially when several discussions are happening at once in the same channel. Second, it supports full emoji reactions for messages which is a nice touch for quick responses. Third, you can mute notifications for replies on a specific thread which is really helpful when a single discussion gets busy but you do not need to follow all of it.
Cons
Ability to edit photos before sending them is missing. On mobile, there is also an issue where a picture taken with the camera sometimes disappears when trying to send it in a chat.

“accelerated our communication”
Pros
It has really accelerated how we communicate inside the company and has pretty much taken the place of email for us entirely.

The interface feels a little dated although it doesn't really affect how well the platform works.

“Nice collaboration and communication tool”
Pros
Slack has been an excellent collaboration and communication tool especially for remote work. The ability to create different channels and connect all kinds of integrations makes it really useful.
Cons
At times, it can feel like there's just too much happening though that may depend more on how each company sets it up.

“Powerful formatting options”
Pros
From routine messaging to team calls, it has been incredibly efficient for me. It's very user-friendly, the formatting options are powerful and communicating through it still works well even when there's latency or someone gets disconnected. The integrations are definitely the standout part of the platform and honestly I just wish there were even more of them. Even the video conferencing, despite not being the app's main purpose, holds up really well against dedicated tools like Zoom and Google Hangouts.
Cons
Most of the downsides come from notifications since they can be pretty unreliable whenever I'm not actively in front of the app. That said, in urgent situations it's not too hard to work around by relying on another communication method.

“great for checking availability”
Pros
It works really well for team communication especially being able to create channels around specific topics or groups of people. It's also very useful for sharing documents and checking who's online which helps a lot when the team is spread across different time zones.
Cons
messages can easily get buried in long comment threads so important communication sometimes gets lost. It would be much better if there were a built-in task feature or a clearer way to create follow-ups. We rely on other project management tools for that and we even joke that Slack is where tasks go to die since it's really a communication platform, not a project management system.

“easy to join channels”
Pros
Communication and chat are easily our favorite parts. Creating channels makes it simple for people to join, leave or be added by a team lead whenever that channel is relevant to their role.
Cons
We've noticed a bit of bloat from creating too many free-form channels but that's more on our side than a problem with the platform itself.

“screen sharing works well”
Pros
Compared with Microsoft messaging, this is much more user-friendly. Setting up separate channels and groups takes almost no effort and storing files or pulling them back later is hassle-free. Screen sharing is well thought out too, with the choice to share one screen or all screens. Starting a huddle is basically a one-click task and inviting others to join is just as simple.
Cons
it does not jump straight to the newest message automatically so I have to scroll from where I last left off. Also, the notification and screen-sharing settings need to be configured manually the first time.

“Our main source of communication”
Pros
Pretty much all communication at my company runs through this tool, to the point where email is barely used anymore and that's a huge plus for me. I've never been a fan of email threads since you have to scan carefully to follow the order of messages, timestamps and replies, whereas here it's much more obvious who said what and when. Searching past topics is also really convenient, whether it's across the Workspace or inside a specific chat or channel from any point in time. My favorite parts are definitely the emoji reactions and how well link sharing works.
Cons
Honestly, there isn't anything that stands out as a real negative for me because it handles everything I need and then some. The only feature I don't really use is Huddles, mainly because it doesn't feel as strong as Google Hangouts to me. If it were better, it would probably save me time since I still end up setting up separate Google meetings instead of just flipping on the Huddle option.

“Perfect for developers”
Pros
Built with developers in mind, this tool makes communication really simple. It also works very well for sharing messages widely across an entire company.

“Price feels reasonable”
Pros
Keeping in touch with the team is the strongest part of this tool, whether it's through video calls or audio conversations. The pricing feels reasonable and the support it offers to small businesses through credits really makes a difference for us.
Cons
The constant stream of notifications can get annoying at times. With a team of 6 full-time staff plus occasional freelancers, the alerts can sometimes become frustrating to keep up with.

“Best communication app”
Pros
After more than three years using Slack as a QA, I can honestly say it's the best communication app I've worked with. The feature that stands out most compared with other tools is personal threads. They make day-to-day work much more manageable because general channels can get crowded fast and important messages are easy to miss. With personal threads, it's simple to message or share updates with one person directly without disrupting everyone else in the conversation.
Cons
I don't have any complaints. I've really enjoyed using this software. It's been a long time since I used the voice note feature so I can't say much about it but I'm glad to know that option is available.
