“loved by everyone”
Pros
The best thing about it is how flexible it is. You can use it for all kinds of work, from project management and task tracking to budgeting and other operational needs.
Cons
At times, it can slow down when you're working with more complex data and some features aren't very adaptive if you haven't used them before.

“A complete automation toolkit”
Pros
It comes packed with features and the built-in automation capabilities are especially valuable.
Cons
Like most software, it takes some time to learn at first but once you get past that curve, it turns into a reliable application that can handle a wide range of projects and processes.

“all-in-one project tracking”
Pros
As a Project Manager, this has been the best tool I've worked with. There are countless features I could mention but the biggest advantage is that I don't need extra tools or software to keep projects on track. Being able to monitor a project, adjust timelines when deadlines are missed, share updates with customers and work from a live document makes a huge difference in running a successful project.
Cons
The biggest downside is the cost. It also comes with a learning curve. For basic use and getting around the platform, it's pretty user-friendly but much like Excel, it can do so much that it takes time to really learn everything it offers.

“interactive tool”
Pros
This has been a really strong interactive tool for collaborating with all kinds of people on projects. It even works well when multiple companies are involved which helps cut down a lot on heavy email back-and-forth.
Cons
Con is that filtering specific items in a list needs to be configured by an admin. It would be better if filters were simpler to create without having to modify the sheet. That said, once everything is set up, it does work well. The filtering also happens in a separate list instead of directly like in an Excel spreadsheet which makes it harder to find exactly what you want to filter.

“templates speed up work”
Pros
Interface is simple and the customizable templates make it a strong option for keeping complex projects organized and making collaboration easier.
Cons
It would be better with more integrations for other software and stronger mobile functionality. The pricing also feels like it could be a bit more competitive.

“works really well”
Pros
Smartsheet has worked really well for client implementations. We were able to set up worksheets around our specific implementation workflows which made the process much more organized. It also gave the client the option to update some or all of the worksheets directly in Smartsheet and we used it as a document repository so we could keep track of the official versions of files in one place.
Cons
The only thing I'd change is the pricing for client access.

“amazing”
Pros
Keeping track of my weekly hours felt simple and adaptive. It gave me a clear view of which projects were taking my time and how many different projects I was juggling at once.
Cons
Updating older records had a few odd quirks at times. Every now and then, my edits would switch back to the suggested hour blocks although that issue went away after a few months.

“easy to use”
Pros
After using it for years, it still feels like Excel with a major upgrade. The part I enjoy most is the automation alerts we can set up which make managing work much more efficient.
Cons
Something I wish it handled better is text formatting inside a single cell. There are times when the data we enter needs specific font colors and while it does support font color changes, it doesn't let us use two different font colors in the same cell the way Excel does. Adding that feature would be really helpful.

Pros

“great data simplification tool”
Pros
It's a simple app built to simplify data management and organization on a large scale.
Cons
Getting started isn't very adaptive right out of the box. It takes a bit of experience to learn but once it clicks, you'll want to track and organize everything in spreadsheets.

“project tracking made easy”
Pros
Project planning is so much easier now and I especially appreciate using it instead of Excel for tracking and monitoring simple data sets. It works particularly well when that information needs to be shared across multiple people.
Cons
Even though it includes a lot of Excel-like functionality, it still misses things like tabs or pivot tables within a single document. That means I often have to link several documents together just to work with the data the way I need which can be frustrating and time-consuming. Better integration with other products would also make it much more effective.

Pros
On busy days, this has been incredibly helpful. It keeps me focused on what needs to get done and when it's due. I also really appreciate that everything is in one place so the whole team can see what needs to be completed and by when.
Cons

“Love it”
Pros
One thing that's been especially helpful about it is how well it supports the way I manage projects. I use it to build task lists tied to each project schedule, then notify the right team members about their assigned tasks. They're able to update the status themselves which makes it much easier for me to monitor what's been completed and what still needs attention. I also rely on the Gantt charts to create project timelines for clients. That's been particularly valuable for clients who have several projects going at once since I can set up a widget that displays all active timelines together in one place for comparison. Overall, it's a very useful tool.
Cons
Getting comfortable with it does take some time and the learning curve can be a little tough at first. Also, actually finding the time to go through the training materials and learn the platform properly can be challenging. I'm not sure there's really a perfect fix for that,it's just part of working with a tool that has this much functionality.
