It is to use smartsheet to organize our teams information and projects. We can also quickly collaborate on projects to ensure that we are all on the same page as a team. We also use it to keep track of activities we want to accomplish in the future as well as time off requests. I like how we can design forms for our team to use as a quick entry point into the smartsheets grid, as well as for our other team members.

I haven’t used the software for a long time, and overall, I have nothing negative to say about Smartsheet. I dont comprehend things because I havent taken the time to learn about them, like Dashboards. This is extremely user-friendly, and the Smartsheet university will walk you through in-depth training if you have any questions. The other issue Ive had over the years is the inability to type special characters within cells. Apart from that, I havent had any problems with the software that’s worth reporting.

“The Smartsheet PM software has exceeded my expectations

Smartsheet is everything you need in one place without juggling multiple platforms at once. You can also schedule emails to be delivered to people who have been assigned duties. Its similar to a supercharged Excel sheet to which you may attach papers and chats "on the row" in question. The dashboards also allow for easy project updates for the executive team. If necessary, you can add your own logos and color schemes to differentiate between different projects and even multiple businesses. I appreciate that they give a lot of free classes and that they truly attempt to help you if you need it.

Cons

It took me a bit to figure things out, but once I did, it was much easier than it appeared at first. The offered Smartsheet classes arent usually what youd anticipate, but theyre free. I signed up for a free webinar, only to realize that the topic was about a product that was an additional module that we had not acquired. It can be difficult to locate a webinar or class in their library. Other than that, I haven’t faced any issues with the software in terms of its use.

Smartsheet is very easy to operate and just requires a simple log-in to get started. I am in charge of training new staff, and I can affirm that the software is so simple that anyone may use it with just the most basic introduction possible. I personally never felt the need to receive formal training. SmartSheets online community of helpful tips and training materials is a solid source for you to solve most issues on your own. And if not, you can reach out to the support services anytime. It really adds to the reliability of the software.

Cons

That being said, Smartsheet is a bit different than anything you might have worked with before. Therefore, it has a very small but very real learning curve as well. But it is only due to the fact that there are slight differences in almost everything SmartSheet does. and thats about it. Some things are missing here that we found in other software. And a lot of tweaking is usually involved to make it do what you want, but its totally worth it. It keeps the exciting spirit alive!

Smartsheet is perfect for those who are not looking for something very detailed but need just a bit more functionality to manage their workflow than simple task management tools such as Trello. It is very intuitive to use Smartsheets, partly due to the fact that it resembles Excel a lot. It is simple and allows transferring data from one team to another automatically via reports, messaging, and data presentation. Smartsheet shines the most when the number of users increases, so you can see how well it manages all the data. Most individuals will surely appreciate this.

The software is still a work in progress, and I think most of the features were rushed in order to deliver a product. Smartsheet is very new in comparison to other project management software, so it was expected. However, I can confirm that they are constantly adding new features and improving the old ones. In some ways, this is fantastic since they take customer feedback seriously and make adjustments rapidly. I think they lack the kind of leadership that truly makes a company great. Theres a lot that needs to be worked around.

I admit that most of the work that I do can be accomplished using MS Excel, but it lacks some core features that Smartsheets has, which makes me come back to it again and again. I can share spreadsheets and collaborate with my teams at the click of a button. I like how all of the Smartsheets I have access to can be organized into folders for easy retrieval, and I love how I can pin sheets or go to the most recently accessed to quickly find the one Im looking for. They keep adding new features for us to try and give feedback on, which is fantastic. We can also automate a lot of tasks to cut down on our working time and spend it elsewhere.

Cons

The software sends an email every time I set up rules for a sheet to everyone, which is great since the change is immediately notified. I just dont like the fact that the email that people receive appears to have been sent from "me." Id prefer that the email come from Smartsheet rather than my email address because, in many cases, I set up the rules for others and it appears that Im emailing them about it, which is inconvenient to say the least.

Smartsheets has a lot going for it, but my favorite tool is a combination of automated reminders, overdue milestone reports, allocating personnel to projects, and running comprehensive reports to check on the current work of my team. The reliability of this software is made rock solid when combined with cross-sheet cell linking, indexing and matching where necessary, and large-scale reporting where conditional formatting may be required. It has all the tools youd need for effective project management and even increases your efficiency in the long run.

Cons

There is no way to rename a file if you want to do so afterwards. Only once will you get the option to name it when you create a new file, which is very weird and limiting. I have to very carefully name every file since a certain project may go on for months and we can get stuck with a wrongly named file.
