Feature rich with beautiful UX and good price point

Pros

The layout of TeamGantt is clean and uncluttered, making it visually appealing and easy on the eyes. I can personalize colors, zoom levels and timeframes according to my preference. It's fast and responsive, providing a simple snapshot while offering rich features beneath the surface.

Cons

I would love to use the entire screen space, but there are a couple of menu bars occupying 10% of the display. I prefer having the full window at my disposal.

Made for basic resourcing and gantt views

Pros

TeamGantt is perfect for teams who need basic resource management and project tracking primarily through a Gantt view. The system is specifically designed for those purposes, although it does have a few additional features. However, if you're looking for more extensive functionalities, it might not be the right fit. There are options like project templates available.

Cons

TeamGantt appears visually and technically clunky. It's quite simple in its functionality too and has some glitches like unsaved changes and the inability to select multiple items, but overall, it functions ok.

Life Changing Product

Pros

With TeamGantt, I can create Gantt charts for my projects in a matter of minutes, saving me hours of work. Creating new tasks and adjusting timelines is as simple as clicking and dragging. While milestone calendars in products like Teamwork or BaseCamp are useful for day-to-day views, they fall short in providing a detailed overview of complex projects. TeamGantt allows me to quickly create high-level views that facilitate easy timeline and deliverable adjustments. It also enables me to seek approval for changes before implementing major shifts in the milestone calendar.

Cons

The hours allocation feature of the software doesn't impress me much. It would be a valuable addition, but it feels quite cumbersome. I can input hours for an individual and see their daily allocation, but I can't view a person-by-person gantt chart showing their overlapping responsibilities or their daily allocation per project. (This would be a combination of Floats software and TeamGantt, which is how we currently utilize the software.)

Really great option

Pros

My brain naturally processes projects in a Gantt chart format, so using TeamGantt was a no-brainer for me. It greatly assists in visually mapping out multiple projects over extended periods and effectively demonstrates individual and organizational capacity. Although our team switched to a different product as we evolved, TeamGantt introduced some impressive new features that might have convinced us to return (such as the addition of Kanban). I really like the visual appeal of this tool and how easily I could switch between different views. It felt like a growing company that was continuously improving.

Cons

The support wasn't perfect, but it wasn't terrible either. They respond quite quickly to chat inquiries. We didn't make use of the onboarding services they offered, which we probably should have done. Our team underwent changes, grew, and eventually transitioned to another service, but this tool was still quite useful. I'm only mentioning this because we encountered many other disappointments while searching for an alternative system, and we nearly returned to TeamGantt. One potential improvement would be more customized timeline exports. Often, our projects were so extensive that the exports weren't suitable for printing (which clients preferred). Maybe there was a third step we should have implemented as well (you can also export to Excel).

Great for Small Teams

Pros

I absolutely loved the calendar view in TeamGantt, which allows me to see the workload for the entire month at a glance. It's also very convenient to identify tasks falling behind schedule by simply observing the color-coded indicators for each task.

Cons

I would really prefer more available integrations for this app.

Great Project Management System for Teams Tracking Many Projects

Pros

As a member of a small team, we often handle multiple projects simultaneously. It's been quite a challenge to find an affordable project management system that allows us to view timelines and task lists for multiple projects in one place, either through a gantt chart or task list. Fortunately, TeamGantt offers both options! Another great feature is the ability to assign multiple people to any task, which is particularly advantageous for our agile company. The software incorporates all the functionalities of comparable gantt-focused project management software, such as dependencies and document uploads. However, it was these two standout features that convinced us to switch to TeamGantt. Additionally, we find the layout and user-friendly navigation very appealing. Learning to use it was a breeze, and so far, we couldn't be happier with the software.

Cons

The cost of the software is somewhat high, but it is comparable to platforms like Monday or Smartsheet. Previously, we used Avaza, which had many of the features of TeamGantt but was less intuitive and visually appealing. For triple the cost of Avaza, we obtain the project management capabilities we desire, but we don't have time-tracking (which incurs additional fees) or basic accounting functions (invoicing, etc.). That is the only downside, as we have to rely on additional software for those tasks. However, many other organizations may already be using Quickbooks or other accounting software, so it might not be a major issue for them. Another challenge was importing our project management data from another system to TeamGantt. It didn't recognize all the same categories, so we had to manually input some information. Lastly, the mobile app they provide is practically useless. It lacks a gantt chart and the ability to make updates. It merely serves as a means to check your to-do list when you're away from your computer.

Flexible with integration ability

Pros

Throughout the past year, I have relied on TG for all our projects. It provides remarkable flexibility in setting up and tracking progress for various types of projects. I particularly love the option to share a public URL, granting users read-only access to real-time progress updates. The integration with Trello is seamless as well. Instead of purchasing more licenses for TG, we can simply have users move cards in Trello, which automatically updates the status in real time within TG.

Cons

The most frustrating aspect for me, both as a user and an admin, is the handling of dependencies. One erroneous click or drag can alter every single task below it. Although there is an undo feature, it displays all 50 (for example) events as changes. In my opinion, it should show the 1 change and all the 50 dependent tasks affected by it. This is my only major complaint.

Pros

This product helped organize our office

Pros

TeamGantt proved to be invaluable in organizing our office calendar. We have numerous initiatives spread around different program areas, TeamGantt streamlined our calendar and deadlines into one central space, allowing the entire office to have a clear view of everyone's work in an organized manner.

Cons

The free version restricts me, and I find it perplexing how to invite and collaborate with other team members.

TeamGannt - My Recommended Project Management Tool

Pros

TeamGantt is a valuable tool for planning projects using the Gantt system. It excels at organizing tasks and subtasks, making it ideal for project managers well-versed in the Gantt system. The software seamlessly integrates various techniques for building exceptional Gantt charts. For instance, extending a deadline for a specific task is as simple as dragging it along the timeline to adjust the duration. Task progress is represented as percentages, providing a clear overview of completed work. The cloud-based system ensures real-time synchronization, enabling access and automatic sharing of information across platforms and users. Even without an account, the share function allows anyone with the link to view projects or charts. The user interface is intuitive, with helpful tutorials and overview videos to assist in project setup. Customization options and integrations further enhance the overall experience.

Cons

Transitioning from other project management apps can be challenging. For instance, if you export a project and want to import it into TeamGantt using Excel or CSV files directly into an active project, there is currently no clear option to do so. The only way is a workaround hack, which, in my opinion, is unnecessary. To truly maximize the potential of this software, you have to pay the full price. The free tier allows for several users, but its scope is highly limited. Therefore, the price can be disappointing if you only wanted to test and evaluate the software's functionality. It might not be an issue if you have ample memory, but since TeamGantt is cloud-based, it can be challenging to use when dealing with complex projects. Being browser-based, it can also be a bit sluggish. Perhaps having a dedicated app would be more beneficial, but in our case, refreshing the browser proved sufficient.

TeamGantt's online Gantt chart solution to managing the progress of projects

Pros

Team Gantt was my go-to for creating a Gantt chart to manage an 18-month project. Here are the aspects I found most appealing: Firstly, it's an online software that saves schedules to the cloud, providing convenient access from anywhere with an internet connection. Secondly, it's a simple and efficient system. Users only need to input project tasks, subtasks, durations, and deadlines, and the software generates the Gantt chart in real time. With all task information in place, I completed the entire Gantt chart for my project in under 30 minutes. Adjusting task durations or deadlines is as easy as dragging and extending the timeline bar. Additionally, the ability to individually customize the color of each task's timeline bar allows for differentiation between critical and standard tasks. Task progress can be updated, displayed as a percentage, and visually represented by a darker-colored timeline bar on the Gantt chart. All updates are shared with all members in real time. Furthermore, Gantt charts can be exported and downloaded in PDF format, making it convenient for inclusion in reports.

Cons

The first project is free (with 3 users and 5 resources), but its capabilities are limited, convincing you to subscribe in order to fully utilize the software. The user interface could still use some refinement: while building the Gantt chart is fairly straightforward, locating specific options within the drop-down menus can become daunting since the options are not grouped or laid out in a standard or user-friendly manner.

Impossible to Schedule Project

Pros

The program's appearance and interface really caught my eye.

Cons

I initially thought this would fulfill a basic need, and at first glance, it seemed amazing. However, the program experiences lags, glitches, and frequently logs you out of your account and projects. The tutorial also lags. I signed up for a subscription but canceled it on the same day. Currently, we use MS Project, and with 5 extremely busy project managers, none of them could successfully perform even the most basic functions using this program. I would not recommend anyone to use this software based on our experience.

Pros

I find the software's hierarchical organization of projects and sub-projects quite nice as it allows easy assignment of resources to different tasks.

Very Detailed Project Management

Pros

TeamGantt provides highly detailed project management charts that allow me to track every step of a project's lifecycle. It's ideal for detail-oriented project managers.

Cons

If you are unfamiliar with Gantt charts, there will be a steep learning curve to understand how to use the software. It took our team some time to grasp how to utilize this tool, but overall, we have been pleased with the level of detail it provides.
