Easy to use

Pros

I like how effortlessly I could understand and use this software. When I started using it, I had a basic understanding of gantt charts but had never used dedicated software before (apart from a basic excel version). The software was user-friendly, making it easy for me to create charts and effectively manage both large and small projects. It has been immensely helpful in reviewing assignments with my team, and I particularly like the feature of assigning specific tasks to individuals.

Cons

Before upgrading to the premium version, I tried the free trial for a week to familiarize myself with the tool and assess its usefulness. It had enough features for me to comprehend how a Gantt chart works and recognize their usefulness, but actually applying and getting started with my projects was difficult due to the limited features available.

TeamGantt

Pros

It's a good alternative to Microsoft Project and helps keep everyone organized.

Cons

It would be great to have the ability to import/export to Microsoft Excel.

Wayyy Better than Excel

Pros

The only other tool I had used for creating Gantt charts was MS Excel, but comparing the two wouldn't be fair. TeamGantt is a project management tool specifically designed with Gantt charts at its core. It's an incredible and visually appealing way to view the entire project, with assignments, durations, and dependencies clearly visible and editable. The recent UI update was a nice touch as well.

Cons

Gantt charts, by their nature, can be a bit hard to maintain. TeamGantt makes them as easy as possible, but if your team isn't familiar with them (or you don't have a project manager overseeing it), it may not work well for you.

Setting up projects for growing subscription company

Pros

One of the best aspects of this program is its focus on essential features without unnecessary fluff. Everything included is useful, easy to use and simple to teach to other team members. The layout and workflow make it easy for each team member to see their daily tasks for each project, the project's status, and make edits effortlessly.

Cons

I haven't come across any significant dislikes worth mentioning. One area for improvement is the task checklists and assigning specific checklist items to individuals, rather than just assigning the entire task to one person.

Decent But It Needs Work

Pros

The progress reports are outstanding. While I've been using Basecamp for a while, which is a great project management application, TeamGantt offers the same functionalities with the added benefit of progress bars. Seeing my progress visualized motivates me to complete tasks sooner and revise them without feeling guilty.

Cons

Sharing files can be cumbersome. Unlike Basecamp, I can only provide links to files instead of directly uploading them to the dashboard. Some clients encounter issues with Dropbox and Google Drive, such as storage capacity, login problems, and difficulties downloading files. I prefer not to clutter my email with large files, so it would be much better to share these files within the project management tool.

Great Project Management Software and Team Visual Tool

Pros

Many of our Project Management staff members use TeamGantt to create visually appealing, organized and dynamic Gantt Charts for internal and external project management. It's a convenient way to have a comprehensive visual of the entire team's activities and track project progress. The dashboard is easily shared and understood by the executive team when our Project Managers need to provide updates.

Cons

Personally, I have no complaints about TeamGantt, and I highly recommend it to all Project Managers.

Simple Yet Powerful

Pros

At first glance, TeamGantt may seem like a simplistic Gantt system, as it's easy to pick up and start using right away. However, as you begin setting up your projects, you discover its highly advanced features that are enough to meet larger requirements. Being cloud-based, sharing and collaboration are straightforward and much better than the predecessor, Microsoft Project. Basic features like dependencies are handled elegantly, and advanced features like saving benchmarks for future comparisons are also well executed.

Cons

There are minor usability issues, mostly related to the fact that the system operates within a web browser. When adding tasks, you can accidentally trigger indentations or new lines. Sometimes, the views may lag slightly behind your changes, requiring a refresh or adjusting the view to see the updates accurately.

Powerful Tool, But Overly Technical and Difficult to Navigate

Pros

Creating a wide range of tasks, assigning them to other users, and extending their duration is easy with this software. The tutorials provided are particularly helpful and guide us in getting started and setting up the software effectively.

Cons

The left navigation could use some improvement; there are redundancies. - I wish all users could access each other's time sheets without having to grant permission for each individual and project. The startup process is quite slow, but it speeds up once you're using it. - The biggest drawback is that the day of the week row doesn't remain visible as you scroll down the page, which can be frustrating.

Easiest tool for creating project gantt charts

Pros

Setting up and using the program doesn't require a lot of learning. The functionality is basic and easily understandable.

Cons

The functionality is relatively basic, and advanced segmentation beyond single dependencies is not possible.

A real gantt project management tool

Pros

I was in search of a free and user-friendly project management tool with Gantt capabilities that I could easily share with my team. After exploring numerous options, TeamGantt was the only one that met my requirements.

Cons

The free version is user-friendly but lacks advanced features for resource setup and usage reports that are essential for project managers. I haven't explored the paid version, but I assume those features are available.

The last Project Management Tool you will need.

Pros

TeamGantt simplifies the process of creating charts by allowing dependencies within projects. Each line item can be collapsed, providing a concise overview when condensed. Sharing reports is effortless and they look impressive as well.

Cons

When you start adding users, the price can increase significantly, even though an individual license is affordable.

This software reads my mind!

Pros

I love how easy it is to add items to the chart, assign people, include dependencies and color-code everything. The software seems to fulfill my needs and offers intuitive buttons to accomplish tasks. Printing the charts is a breeze which makes team meetings more productive. The daily update emails for individual contributors keep everyone on track. The percentage complete tracker at the top of the chart is fantastic. Overall, it's a fantastic software.

Cons

The free version is barely enough. It allows only one project and three contributors (who can also have free accounts and access the chart). Since our work doesn't revolve primarily around Gantt-chart style projects, my company doesn't opt for the premium version. It would be beneficial to have other features like simple to-do lists and task assignments that don't necessarily involve a timeline.

A useful, web-based tool for generating Gantt charts

Pros

It's easy to use, with a sleek design that's perfect for generating valuable Gantt diagrams for my projects. I always find Gantt charts useful for project management. Also having an online tool that I can conveniently access is ideal!

Cons

I sometimes faced difficulties in linking project items together, especially when one item depended on another.

TeamGantt

Pros

TeamGantt has provided my dynamic team with an excellent collaborative project management tool. The user interface is easy to navigate and visually appealing, while the simple layout simplifies task assignment.

Cons

One major drawback is the absence of in-app notifications. I would prefer not to rely on email for receiving notifications, as it adds another tool to check regularly to stay updated.

TeamGantt is a Fantastic Scheduling and Collaboration Software

Pros

Scheduling tasks is much easier compared to other costly scheduling software. The interface is visually appealing and facilitates seamless collaboration. This software even allows you to set project baselines, a feature missing in many other scheduling tools.

Cons

Consultants and project owners prefer using their specific software for schedule submissions, so they don't accept this format.

An excellent project management tool

Pros

TeamGantt helps me organize activities by grouping tasks and subtasks. It provides start and completion dates for each task, and the user-friendly interface offers a comprehensive overview of activities and their progress. I can break down every activity, assign deadlines, and forecast project completion timeframes. The application allows me to see who is working on each task. One of the most appealing features is the ability to share charts without requiring a login. The tutorials and demos provided are helpful, and the one-to-one chat facilitates team interaction and project updates. It offers advanced integrations and collaborations to meet individual preferences.

Cons

There isn't much to mention, but if you're working on large projects, it might be a bit complex.
