“clear visual workflow”

Pros

Right away, the software feels very user friendly. Being able to sort cards at a glance with user tags and color-coded labels makes the board much quicker to scan and navigate. The customization options that matter are all there. I personally use a small icon on each card to show my team what type of issue it is, apply color coding for the different stages within a swim lane and assign tickets to owners, stakeholders and anyone else who needs visibility.

Cons

My biggest concern is that Atlassian acquired it. Their older acquired products can feel a little outdated and I worry future updates could overcomplicate what makes the software appealing as a simple Kanban board. They've managed it reasonably well up to this point but they've definitely made free collaboration harder in my personal use. Since it's also tied so closely to JIRA, there's some confusion within Atlassian's own product lineup about when the software is actually the better fit.

“The UI is great!”

Pros

Getting started with the software takes almost no effort and setting up a team to collaborate happens really quickly. The UI/UX feels welcoming and accessible which makes the whole product pleasant to use. Having the mobile app is also a big plus because I can update project status even when I'm away from my computer.

Cons

Free plan only allows 10 boards per team which feels a bit too restrictive. I also wish there were more account tier options available.

Pros

Since most people are visual, this software does an awesome job of letting you clearly see your team's workload and projects at a glance.

Cons

During the initial setup, you do have to dig around a bit to find certain features and functionality, as well as connect it with other platforms.

“accessible boards and drag-and-drop”

Pros

The drag-and-drop setup is fantastic and the editable columns that everyone can rename make organizing really convenient. The interface feels very accessible and simple to use which is exactly what you want from a calendar-style planning tool.

Cons

You can't edit a title just by clicking on it. You have to use the small pencil icon instead and that can be a little confusing.

“I like the add-ons”

Pros

Setting up tasks and now organizing takes almost no effort. Board customization is completely in the admin's hands and the templates they provide make it quick to start with something solid and build from there. On top of that, there's a huge range of power-ups and add-ons that turn the software into a really capable project management tool. File sharing and integrations with other apps are also a major advantage.

Cons

A setback is that the tool recently added a board limit to the free plan. We're still under that cap but it was definitely nice having the freedom to add more boards whenever a bigger or more complex project came up.

Pros

Getting started with it is very easy. It's quick to set up, simple to use and the fact that it's free makes it even more appealing.

Cons

That said, the available solutions feel somewhat limited and the interface looks a bit outdated. It also falls short when it comes to time tracking and handling larger projects and routine tasks can end up taking more time than they should.

“Good templates and team setup”

Pros

It has plenty of powerful features available when you need them but the interface still stays clean and doesn't feel overloaded. The free plan is also very generous which makes it easy to test things properly before paying. I also really appreciate the templating options, along with the ability to copy from public boards. On top of that, you can publish boards for other people to duplicate and use themselves.

Cons

A limitation is that the view is restricted to a Kanban board format only. Some of the customization features also feel a bit limited. Another downside is that the free plan doesn't give access to the full set of app features. I'd prefer being able to try everything first, even if that meant having a limited number of board credits before deciding to upgrade to the paid version.

“Used by school staff”

Pros

Worked really well for our school staff as a shared place for admins and teachers to keep all the online resources we use for teaching. We organized each column by subject so the Math column included things like our online textbook, IXL, Khan Academy and similar tools. We also had an HR column where employees could quickly access forms and paperwork to complete or print. Field trips had their own column too which made it simple to keep approval forms in one place and we used the calendar feature to remind teachers about important dates. Another column was dedicated to ideas which helped teachers discover History or Art lessons and games. While building the site for our school, I was also able to keep it private so only employees could access it.

Cons

I did not run into many downsides. The only thing I wanted to do but could not was set it up as a homepage on teachers' computers when they logged in so they would always have immediate access to the sites we use.

Pros

Even the free plan gives you access to the Kanban cards and honestly, that covers everything most teams need. It doesn't take long to get comfortable with it either since most actions are just simple drag-and-drop.

Cons

Things can get a little confusing once too many people are working on the same card or list at the same time so it feels better suited to smaller teams. Task prioritization can be managed by moving cards up within a list or shifting them from Backlog to To Do but those updates aren't communicated clearly enough to the people assigned to them.

“Handy cards”

Pros

Makes it really simple to set up projects and fill them with cards, whether that's for tasks, bug fixes or any other kind of work item. You can stack up everything that needs to be done and organize it however you want. Cards can be labeled, archived, moved between columns, updated with attachments and assigned to people which makes the whole workflow very practical and convenient.

Cons

There isn't a clear built-in way to visually measure project progress beyond moving cards from columns like "requested" to "in progress" to "archived," or creating your own label system. Because of that, I wouldn't rely on the software for work that needs detailed or closely monitored progress tracking.

“Perfect project coordination”

Pros

Everything feels very accessible and simple to pick up and it has helped me coordinate and manage multiple projects much more efficiently.

Cons

The add-ons and extra features are expensive and I'd really like to see a more organized integration with OneDrive.

“Increases teamwork”

Pros

The Slack integration is probably the best part of using the software for me. Being able to notify someone through chat as soon as a task gets assigned to them is really helpful and keeps everyone in the loop.

Cons

Something that's missing is a way to search through activity logs when something changes on a task.

“Outstanding free plan”

Pros

After using the software for years, it has become one of my go-to tools for managing both personal and work projects. It's flexible, easy to navigate and works well for a wide range of needs. The free plan is especially impressive and honestly, most users probably won't ever need to move to a paid version.

Cons

My only real frustration came up when I needed to export a board into a spreadsheet. There wasn't a CSV download option available, only a JSON file and that format didn't work for what I needed.

Pros

Setting up workflows is easy and moving a task or project through the pipeline is as simple as dragging and dropping it where it belongs. Each card can hold all kinds of details, plus add-ons that fit the way you want to manage your work.

Cons

Nothing comes to mind right now. I'm satisfied with it as it is.

“cuts down manual work”

Pros

One of the biggest wins for me is the power ups that automate repetitive work especially Butler because they cut down a lot of the manual steps. Customizing boards is very user friendly and features like categorization, lists, checkboxes and the Outlook connector make it much easier to stay organized. Being able to share files directly for review is probably my favorite part. It has really expanded collaboration and made teamwork possible with people located all over the world.

Cons

A downside is that there's no way to label columns with custom images unless you create a card just for that which feels unnecessary. Another frustration is how limited the power-ups are for trial users since you can't really experience the full value of the platform that way.

“weekly planning made ideal”

Pros

Using the software for homeschooling has been fantastic. I set up a weekly lesson plan with a list of cards for each school day and each card stands for a different subject. When my 9th grader opens a card, there's a checklist inside with that day's assignments. She can work at her own pace and even move cards to another day when necessary. I'm able to keep up with her progress anytime from the web or mobile app and once the week is over, I just copy the board and update it for the next week's lessons. It's been absolutely perfect for us.

Cons

I can't come up with anything I dislike about the software. It has turned the administrative side of homeschooling into something I genuinely enjoy.

Pros

Right away, the software feels really well put together for managing work with a Kanban-style setup. Moving around the interface is smooth and the drag-and-drop functionality makes organizing tasks feel natural. Keeping track of ongoing work and events is incredibly convenient. The built-in templates help speed up card creation and features like attachments, colored labels, to-do lists and voting make everything quicker and less of a hassle. Since it's such a visual collaboration tool, I can add notes, share and search files, assign tasks and set project deadlines all in one place without needing to jump between apps.

Cons

The frustrating part is the third-party integrations which keep throwing errors. On top of that, the latest update feels more like a burden than an improvement and it still didn't resolve the issue I was dealing with.

Rolling this out on both mobile devices and desktop systems was very easy and it adapts really well to different types of workflows thanks to how customizable it is.

Cons

People without a technical background may need a bit of time to get comfortable with it and keeping track of multiple teams, projects or components can start to feel complicated.

Compared with other options, this one feels much more easy and simpler to use. It works really well for managing workflows and setting up separate boards for just about anything, whether that's projects, everyday tasks, dividing work across a team or even personal to-do lists. The real-time updates are especially helpful since managers can assign or reassign tasks quickly as things change. It does a solid job of applying the Kanban approach through a clean, user friendly layout that's easy to move around in and it's also very useful for staying on top of deadlines.

Cons

Once projects start getting bigger or include multiple paths and moving parts, it can become pretty easy to lose your way while creating and organizing boards. Kanban boards are useful but the software would benefit from offering other ways to structure work for larger-scale projects. On top of that, the integration choices are fairly limited, even with basic tools such as calendars.

Having it on both my phone app and my laptop is really convenient and it does a nice job of organizing and sorting tasks without any hassle.
