“customizable and free”

Pros

It has become part of my daily routine for both work and personal tasks. It's simple to customize, quick to get set up and incredibly easy to use. On top of that, it's free which makes it even better.

Cons

I don't have any real complaints. If I had to mention something, it would maybe be having a monthly subscription payment option but even that feels more like nitpicking than an actual issue.

Pros

My head is usually a chaotic pile of ideas, projects, responsibilities and even a random fear of clowns. This solution lets me dump all of that into a very, very, very simple visual board setup that makes it clear to me, my team and even the public if needed, where we are now and where we're trying to go.

Cons

The only real setback is having to pay for it. It's not overpriced at all, I just don't enjoy paying for anything. They do have discounted pricing for nonprofits which is nice but they're also up against more competitors now that other companies are copying the model and offering lower prices.

Pros

Getting started with the first project board was very easy. My team adapted to it quickly and we've been consistently using it ever since we introduced it two years ago.

Cons

Issue is that it can be a little too tempting to spend extra time organizing cards and adding more detail, when sometimes the real priority is simply getting the card done.

“bug tracking that keeps me organized”

Pros

Keeping tabs on all my projects has been much better with the tool. When I run into a bug during development, I can quickly drop in a note and come back to it later. Little by little, I work through those reminders and my software ends up with fewer issues. It's been really helpful for making sure I don't forget fixes anymore.

Cons

The part I'm not happy with is sharing in this solution. I wish there were an option to let the public edit certain boards or lists so if I need people to submit reports to a bug tracker, they could add them directly.

“Handy integrations”

Pros

Works really well for me because it's very simple to use and customize. That's exactly why I use it both personally and together with external developers as a digital Kanban board. Everyone can quickly see what the team is working on and having all the details gathered in one place is much better than each person keeping a separate to-do list. The integrations are also a big plus and the free version with limited features is often more than enough for what I need.

Cons

The cards themselves don't offer as many options as I'd like. For example, I wish screenshots or quick scribbles were easier to attach directly because right now I have to add them through comments which makes it harder to tell which image actually matters for that ticket. I also can't remove tags I no longer need or bring tags over from another board so I end up recreating them repeatedly. Having more color choices would be nice too although there may be an extension for that.

Pros

Gives task management a very simple, organized feel which is one of the things I appreciate most about it. Another big plus is that it includes team collaboration for free which is not something you get with most similar tools. Because the platform is so easy, it's quick to bring new team members up to speed on how kanban boards work and get them involved in larger ongoing projects already organized in this platform. On top of that, Power-Ups really help this platform stand out from other kanban tools since they let you turn a basic board into something much more customized with useful additions like automation and analytics.

Cons

At this point, I really haven't come across anything to dislike about the tool and honestly I'm not sure I will especially since Power-Ups make it so simple to add whatever I need to a board.

“versatile boards i genuinely love”

Pros

It feels like a Swiss army knife for staying organized. I've used it for everything from managing editorial calendars to coordinating remote teams and it adapts really well to different workflows. It's flexible without being complicated so setting deadlines, assigning tasks and keeping personal to-dos in order is very easy. I also rely on it for brainstorming so I can track content ideas and it helps me organize client projects while keeping clients informed about progress. I've been using it actively for years and the fact that it's free makes it even better.

Cons

Nothing stands out as a problem for me. I know some people describe it as outdated but that hasn't been my experience at all.

Pros

The software works incredibly well as a simple bulletin-board style space for gathering ideas organizing assets and sharing everything with a team. I've used it to manage projects for several clients, including as a visual punch-list with a web development team. Adding images, files, notes and team mentions is very easy. The visual layout is one of its best qualities, opening the software each day actually feels enjoyable. It's a satisfying tool to work in especially if you naturally organize things by grouping them into piles or pinning items onto a board.

Cons

This platform really shines when it's used at a higher level, as a clean, visual place to collect inspiration or share key assets in a way that's quick to scan. It works best as an asset hub and light project management tool especially for visually oriented users. It's at its most enjoyable when the content includes image-rich documents and materials. That said, if you need a deeply effective project management platform, you may prefer other tools with stronger options for tracking fine details, task dependencies and timelines. Still, those more complex systems come with their own trade-offs. Sometimes a simpler approach is better and that's exactly where this platform fits.

“focus and creative workflow”

Pros

This solution really helps when the goal is to stay focused and get things done quickly. The results you get can vary depending on how you set up and use it which makes it a very flexible tool. A lot of it comes down to your own creativity in seeing the challenge, building a workflow around it and solving it in a way that actually feels fun.

Cons

When you genuinely love a product, you tend to overlook the small gaps and look for ways around them. That has been the case with this tool for me and since it was open source, most of its shortcomings were usually addressed or supported by the community.

“brilliant integrations”

Pros

This is a fantastic free project management tool. It keeps things super simple and turns complicated tasks into something much more manageable. The open API is a huge plus too since it gives you access to plenty of Power-Ups and lets you connect it with other software like Slack, Harvest and Streamtime.

Cons

I don't have any real complaints, just good things to say. If anything, it would be nice if they added their own built-in chat tool.

“has boards for every workflow”

Pros

The tool strikes exactly the right balance between being simple and being powerful. When I need something basic, it works perfectly as a digital replacement for post-its and a whiteboard. At the same time, when a project gets more involved, it can expand with me by adding more depth to the same workflow, letting me organize projects, tasks and ideas within that familiar to-do, doing, done style. That mix of simplicity when it's enough and complexity when it's needed is what makes it work so well.

Cons

The part that bothers me most is the newer board limits. One of the reasons I used to enjoy this solution so much was that I could use it freely for a lot of things without being pushed into paying, while still being happy to spend money on certain advanced features when it made sense. Now, those restrictions are making me rethink using this solution for things I would have automatically chosen it for before. It feels like a misstep. I'm not really willing to pay for the full business tier because the price doesn't match how much I'd use it so instead of investing more into this solution, I'm starting to look at other options.

“free to use”

Pros

One of the best parts is how much you can get out of the platform without paying which is exactly how I use it. I mainly rely on it to keep my work organized. Whenever a new task comes up, I drop it into my lists in the platform. If it's job-related, it goes on my "Work Related" board and if it's something outside of work, I add it to my "Personal" board. The setup is very practical because each board can have lists like "Yet To Be Done," "Doing," "Pending Validation," and so on. From there, I just create the task and move it between lists with drag-and-drop as things progress and I can also add checklists, comments and even track time spent directly within the task flow.

Cons

Since I'm only using the free version, a few features do feel a bit limited. One example is tracking the time spent on each task which in my case requires using an external add-on. Still, considering how much is available at no cost, it's hard to complain too much.

“love the add-ons”

Pros

Working in this platform feels very easy. Tasks are simple to visualize and the labels help a lot with keeping everything organized. I also appreciate being able to add plugins to expand the functionality when needed. It supports attaching all kinds of media and the notifications are really helpful. The activity history is especially useful when I need to check back on changes. The free version already offers a lot, including the ability to quote collaborators, link documents and manage task lists in a very visual way. Due dates are helpful for staying on top of deadlines and the mobile app works really well too.

Cons

A few things still feel missing. There's no proper calendar or timeline view and it also doesn't include an occupancy-based capacity calculator. It lacks some broader planning features when you need a wider perspective across work. The rich text editor is also a bit awkward to use especially since there's no guide to help with it. Another downside is that it needs an internet connection all the time because there isn't an offline version with saved content.

“easy to get used to”

Pros

Was my first real introduction to Kanban and it was incredibly quick to pick up. Its biggest strength is how simple it is. I work with people on a marketing team who aren't especially interested in using productivity tools so having something easy and easy to roll out was absolutely necessary.

Cons

At the same time, that same simplicity is also what has kept our team from using the platform for more detailed project planning. There are plenty of plugins available to extend it but in our case they just added extra complexity to the workflow when a built-in option would have made more sense. Basic features like project start and end dates, board and card syncing and task lists would be really valuable additions.

Pros

The notification system is the feature I appreciate most especially since it also sends updates by email. Another big plus is the activity log, where every action taken on a card is recorded and visible to the whole team which really helps with tracking changes.

Cons

I don't like how cards can be moved too freely since anyone can shift any card at any time in any channel. I also don't like that anyone is able to change a card's timing or due date which can create confusion.

“Complete team organization”

Pros

Across our company, this solution has been incredibly useful for just about every internal need. I've used it to organize training materials with attachments, images and direct links to my Drive and it works really well for that. It's also been very effective when putting together an improvement plan for an employee since you can add dates, outline the steps to follow and give employees a simple way to leave comments, questions and attachments. It feels a lot like having Google Drive but with everything kept together in one place.

Cons

There can be a bit of a learning curve at first if you're not quite sure how this tool is supposed to be used so it may feel a little confusing in the beginning. Once you understand the setup though, it becomes very simple to work with.

Pros

With this software, managing projects feels much more organized because it gives users built-in tools such as boards, cards and lists to keep tasks in order. It makes team collaboration simpler by bringing all tasks and files together in one place which helps with tracking progress and staying aligned. Features like the progress meter, activity log, email notifications, drag-and-drop functionality, inline editing and data filtering add a lot of value. The free version covers the basics well and there's also the option to upgrade as the team grows.

Cons

One thing I'd still like to see is the ability to show more details on the front of each card in the software. Other than that, the mobile app could use some improvement especially when it comes to the user interface.

“helpful for planning”

Pros

When a project is simple and moves in a straight line, the tool is a really handy tool. I originally tried it during one of their promotions about designing a dream trip in the app and I ended up coming back to it later to organize ideas for another trip. It was especially useful for collecting everything I wanted to see in each city, with separate lists for every stop on the trip. Each card could include a thumbnail image which made it easier to recognize things while scrolling and opening a card let me add more photos, links, descriptions and other details. There was also some limited support for color-coded labels on items. On top of that, cards could be dragged between lists like "need to do," "doing now," and "done." I also added the map power-up which let me plot the whole trip visually on a map. I tested a flight price add-on too and it gave broad information such as average fares between cities and the times of year when those routes are most popular.

Cons

That said, this setup gets awkward when your categories don't fit neatly into boxes. A card can't belong to more than one list which makes organizing certain things harder. The label system is also fairly limited since there are only a few colors and they appear as tiny little marks on each card. And even though I really enjoy having image thumbnails on cards, they also make each list much longer so you end up doing a lot of scrolling. There isn't really a quick overview that lets you see what's in a list at a glance, you just keep scrolling through everything. The map extension also still feels fairly new and unfinished even though it has improved since I first used it so I'm hoping it becomes more capable over time. At the moment, it can map every location on the entire board but it can't show a map for just one individual list. In my case, I had one list per city so I could see the whole trip plotted but not a map of just the places I wanted to visit in a single city. I'd really like to see that kind of filtering added later. The airfare extension also needs more development. While the general route information was somewhat useful, it stayed too broad to be all that practical. I couldn't really tell how much prices tend to vary or what normal fares look like at different times of year. In the end, it mostly pushed me toward clicking through to a third-party flight booking site.

Pros

Getting started with this platform is incredibly simple, you can have a project board up and running in just a few minutes. It's flexible enough to work for pretty much any kind of project which makes it useful in all sorts of situations. Beyond to-do lists, idea tracking and planning, it also works well as a basic file-sharing tool. If one employee finishes part of a task, they can upload the file to this platform so another employee can download it and continue editing. On top of that, the free version offers a lot of value.

Cons

A few useful features are locked behind the paid plans. I understand they need to monetize the product but the pricing levels feel a little too high for smaller businesses.

Pros

Creating boards and cards feels very natural and the whole workflow is accessible and user friendly from the start.

Cons

The one thing that felt missing was card dependency. For example, if a campaign can't move forward until a designer finishes their task, there's no really effective way to automatically trigger or assign the next card once that one is done. The platform does offer checklists, tags and similar workarounds but it still doesn't handle that process as smoothly as it could.
