fits any workflow

Pros

Incredibly simple to pick up and flexible enough to fit just about any workflow. I can set up a board for a project, add lists and cards and get started right away without any hassle. I've used it across software engineering work, writing projects and even for organizing personal plans and it adapts well every time.

Cons

Biggest complaint is the lack of Evernote integration since that's another app I rely on heavily.

free onboarding and quick adoption

Pros

Getting new users started is free and the onboarding process is very easy.

Cons

As our project lists expanded and our workflow became more agile, it got tougher to manage everything from a campaign-level or broader high-level view.

versatile task organizer

Pros

For the past four years, the tool has been the perfect way to keep my tasks organized. It works really well not just for development work but also for marketing tasks so it fits everything I need.

Cons

I wouldn't call this a real downside but as a free user I'd love access to a few more premium features. I use the software on my own as a freelancer rather than through a company and it has been a solid alternative to more expensive to-do apps so I plan to keep using it.

boards and cards keep us aligned

Pros

This platform uses a really different approach to project task management for our nonprofit. The board, list and card setup makes it simple to follow progress, see what each person is responsible for and understand what's coming up next in the pipeline. It also helps project managers get a quick view of where everything stands and spot roadblocks fast. The Slack integration is another big plus since that's a tool our team depends on heavily.

Cons

Because the solution is such a unique and innovative system, there's a bit of a learning curve for people who haven't used it before. That means some staff onboarding is needed to get everyone comfortable which can slow things down at the start but the time spent training is definitely worth it.

Provides project visibility

Pros

Keeping projects organized with this tool feels really natural. The layout is clean and it lets me take in a lot of information at a glance which makes managing everything much easier.

Cons

At times, it can be a bit difficult to track down the specific card I'm looking for.

organized and high-tech feel

Pros

Keeping everything organized actually feels modern and engaging with this software. It gives the whole process a cool, high-tech vibe that makes staying on top of tasks more enjoyable.

Cons

I honestly don't have much to complain about. The only issue is that you have to upgrade to the Business plan to unlock all of the really useful and cool Power-Ups.

fantastic task flow

Pros

One thing that really works well with the software is how naturally it lets you assign or delegate specific tasks through its drag and drop setup. It also offers a huge range of power-ups that connect with other programs and online tools so setting up cross-platform workflows feels very easy. On top of that, there's plenty of overall space to upload and attach documents directly to the relevant cards.

Cons

Problem is that the free version only allows 1 power-up so there's really no practical way to explore and test all the available power-ups in the store before committing to a paid plan.

team clarity in one board

Pros

Working with a team that tends to be a bit disorganized used to mean I spent more time following up on tasks, checking who was responsible for what and reminding everyone about deadlines than actually doing my own work. This tool gives our team one central place for communication, details and due dates in a way that's very user friendly. Adding the app makes it even better because there's really no excuse for anyone to say they're unclear about expectations or can't see the bigger picture of what needs to get done. It really feels like a digital dry erase board for teams.

Cons

My only real complaint is that it requires an internet connection. It would be nice to be able to use it while offline or disconnected.

Great for tracking

Pros

The platform is a really useful way to see all your tasks at a glance and arrange them in whatever structure works best for you. It also works well for team collaboration since it keeps a record of changes and sends notifications whenever someone updates a task. Being able to attach links and images to cards is a nice bonus too especially when you need extra context or reference material.

Cons

At the same time, it can get out of hand pretty fast if people aren't disciplined about how everything is organized and maintained. When boards aren't kept updated, the whole system can become cluttered and start slowing the team down instead of helping. I've had a few projects in this software turn into complete chaos simply because nobody stayed on top of it.

A lifesaver!

Pros

Has become one of my favorite tools because of how flexible it is. I can move items up and down a list anytime or shift them to a completely different list when priorities change. I use color labels to show project status and organize separate lists based on what needs attention that day so with one quick look I know exactly what I need to focus on. It really makes my workload much easier to manage.

Cons

I'd still love to see more options for customizing the colors and overall look of individual list items instead of relying mostly on labels. It would also help to have a faster way to apply labels without having to open each card's settings every time.

Amazing benefits

Pros

Using this platform day to day has been a breath of fresh air. The platform is incredibly simple to use yet it plays an essential role in keeping my teams running efficiently. One thing I really appreciate is how flexible it is when it comes to setting everything up. I've recently started working with integrations that automatically create cards from other systems and that feature has honestly blown me away. It removes so much guesswork and gives me a clear view of where each team stands in their development.

Cons

There's honestly very little I dislike about the solution. Overall, it's one of the best platforms I've worked with. If I had to point out anything, it would be the way all of my boards appear on the home page. I'd also really like stronger alert notifications, more like the app badges on my iPhone with the little red circle.

changed my life

Pros

This tool has been one of those apps I can't praise enough and I've ended up recommending it to a lot of friends and coworkers. I'm a big list-maker and I still haven't come across another platform for organizing lists that feels this flexible while also looking this nice. The design is really appealing and the way it's set up gives you a ton of freedom in how you use it. Everything is organized in layers: you make boards, then lists inside those boards and then cards inside the lists. As a university student, I use it for school by creating a board called "Spring 2019," then adding five lists named after my classes like Psychology, Math and History. From there, I add assignments as cards under each class. I can set due dates on each card, mark them complete when they're done and move them around depending on what's most urgent or important. I'd definitely recommend opening the app and just trying it out to see if it fits your style, I use the free version myself. Even without the tutorials, it's pretty easy to get around but the tutorials are helpful if you want to do more advanced things like team collaboration or building workflows. I also use the platform outside of school for personal projects too, like vacation planning and decorating my apartment.

Cons

Honestly, nothing stands out as a downside to me, I really love this software.

quick setup for external teams

Pros

Getting this software up and running takes only a few minutes so setup is really easy. It works especially well when collaborating with third-party companies and you do not want to give them access to your main tools such as Jira, QA Complete or DevOps (formerly VSTFS).

Cons

A limitation is that we cannot install it on our own servers so we have to keep it separate from the external network.

satisfied user

Pros

This software handles exactly what I need it to do without piling on confusion or unnecessary feature bloat.

Cons

I would have appreciated a step by step guide to help fill in the gaps. I didn't come across one although I'll admit I didn't search very thoroughly so it may exist. Instead, I ended up learning by jumping straight into a live project.

perfect for organization

Pros

It's very easy to use and the range of integrations with tools like calendars, reminders, Slack and Google Drive makes it really useful. Keeping track of project progress, whether it's for personal tasks or team collaboration, feels convenient and organized. The interface also looks really good and I enjoy how simple it is to rearrange boards or switch backgrounds to make everything feel more visually appealing.

Cons

Issue is that there are so many apps and platforms you can connect that it can feel a bit overwhelming especially when you're not sure where to begin. This tool also offers a lot of features and it sometimes feels like I'm probably missing some really valuable ones. It would be helpful if there were a survey or questionnaire for each board's intended purpose so the platform could recommend the features that would be most useful.

used by our writing team

Pros

Fits a SCRUM-style workflow really well even for a team of copywriters. I've heard people say it's better suited to developers but that hasn't been the case for us at all. Our writing team uses it to move content through every stage, from draft and revisions to proofing and finally posting in WordPress and it handles that process perfectly.

Cons

Setting up extensions was a little confusing at the beginning. Since we work in scrum, we needed an add-on that lets writers estimate how long projects will take. It took some time to understand how to configure it but once everything was up and running, it became easy to use.

free plan with helpful tracking

Pros

The free package already offers enough useful features. It works well for tracking activities and the time allocated to each task. You can also share your own contribution on every task and show how much time was assigned to it. It's also helpful for seeing who worked on each task and what they contributed which makes it useful for managers when reviewing employees.

Cons

It does require constant updates on what you are doing at a particular time. Sometimes I forget to extend or update the time and after that it can't be changed. It really needs you to keep updating it regularly.

modern version of sticky notes

Pros

Feels like a modern version of sticky notes but much more flexible. The column layout can be customized to match the exact needs of each project which makes it very practical. Each card also opens up a lot of useful options when you need more detail, like attaching documents or files, adding checklists, setting due dates, assigning tasks to specific people and more.

Cons

At the time I'm writing this and I know the solution updates features often so this could change, I still wish tasks with deadlines could sync with an alert system outside the board. It would be much better to get a notification saying a task is almost due instead of having to log into this tool and check whether items are still in the green or already in the red.

Quick lists

Pros

One of the best things about this tool is how fast I can set up lists and get started. It's also very simple to teach to other people which is a big reason I recommend it so often. It's especially helpful for people who are a bit disorganized and need a better way to manage projects.

Cons

There really isn't much to complain about. The only small thing that bothers me is being automatically set to "watch" a card after creating it but honestly that's a very minor issue.
