Organizing projects quickly

Pros

Right from the start, Trello feels very user-friendly. It makes getting organized fast and the checklists on each project or task are really useful. That becomes especially helpful when working with teammates and assigning out responsibilities.

Cons

I still don't feel like I'm using Trello to its full potential. It seems like it may be more powerful than I realize especially when it comes to advanced automation that could help me be even more productive. Since I'm not actively looking that information up, it would be helpful if the app surfaced it more with in-app notifications, popups or maybe a bar at the top highlighting webinars or training resources for users.

helpful boards and automation

Pros

it doesn't take much effort even for someone completely new to it. The Kanban-style boards give a clear overall view of whatever project is in progress and the drag-and-drop task management saves me a lot of time. It also handles repetitive work through no-code automation which cuts down on effort for the whole team. On top of that, it connects really well with tools like Google Drive, Jira and Slack.

Cons

On bigger and more complicated projects, the boards can start to feel a little harder to keep organized and manage.

Simple kanban workflow

Pros

One thing I really appreciate about Trello is how visual the Kanban boards are. It makes it very simple to follow project progress and the drag-and-drop setup works really well.

Cons

When projects get bigger and more complex, the linear board layout can start to feel a little restrictive. There are times when I wish it included more built-in features for timelines or dependencies instead of having to rely on Power-Ups.

clean kanban and rich integrations

Pros

the simple interface and overall layout made Trello very simple to use. The Kanban-style board gives a clear high-level view of what work needs to get done and the marketplace for add-ons and integrations is very comprehensive as well.

Cons

Honestly there was not much to dislike while using Trello. The issue that came up most often was just dealing with the number of cards or tickets sitting on the board at the same time.

Cleaner templates and better integrations

Pros

Trello keeps rolling out useful updates and the refreshed interface feels more modern while helping my team stay organized and work more efficiently. The ticket templates look much cleaner now and I've also noticed fewer bugs with the GitHub integration and when attaching PRs.

Cons

I can't think of any major downsides. If I had to point out one thing, I'd love a faster way to grab Trello ticket links from the front view or the smaller card version since that's the link my team uses in changelogs.

handy Gmail integration

Pros

One thing I really appreciate is how often they keep adding new Power-Ups. I recently started using the Gmail Power-Up and it has been incredibly useful to turn an email into a task on my Trello board right away.

Cons

I'd still love to see more Power-Ups included in the free plan. I originally picked Trello because it had a free version but it feels like the free tier is starting to offer fewer features and less functionality.

good software

Pros

Trello feels very organized, looks nice and is simple to work with. It's also highly customizable which makes it easy to adapt to different workflows.

Cons

Collaborating with other people on the same board was a bit difficult so we had to rely on another tool like Slack to keep communication clear.

simple boards and clear workflows

Pros

Setting up boards, moving tasks around and organizing workflows is fast and simple. It does a really good job of keeping ongoing work visible especially when you're juggling multiple priorities.

Cons

When project management gets more complex, though, it can start to feel a little limited. To go beyond the basics, you sometimes have to rely on integrations or extra add-ons.

visual boards for creative teams

Pros

The board-and-card layout is highly visual which works really well for creative workflows. Moving tasks from one stage to another feels natural and it keeps projects organized without needing much setup.

Cons

Once projects get bigger or more complex, it can start to feel a little limited. Some of the more advanced project management features are only available through integrations or add-ons.

clear task tracking

Pros

Creating tasks with priorities and handling simple workflows in Trello feels simple and practical. It keeps everything organized and visible without making the process feel complicated.

Cons

A few features seem unnecessarily locked behind the paid plan, such as the option to create multiple boards.

Boards that keep me coming back

Pros

Whenever I take a break from Trello and later need to get organized again, I end up returning to it. It can handle a lot but it still manages to stay simple and approachable.

Cons

More and more features have been moved into the premium plans so the free version now feels fairly limited. That gets frustrating when you just want to try things out, experiment with ideas and see how it fits before fully committing.

visual planning that clicks

Pros

The visual layout makes Trello feel very simple. It's simple to see what's coming up next which is really helpful from a project management standpoint.

Cons

It does start to feel less suitable on more complex projects especially when you need deeper subtask management and task dependencies.

Best software

Pros

Right away, Trello feels very natural to use thanks to its visual layout and keeping up with complicated projects becomes much simpler with the drag-and-drop setup. I also really appreciate how flexible it is when it comes to shaping workflows to fit different needs and the Butler automation is a huge plus for taking repetitive tasks off my plate without any hassle.

Cons

Once a project starts getting bigger, the boards can turn messy and much harder to organize so it is not always the best fit for more complex team workflows. On top of that, important views such as Calendar and Timeline sit behind the paid plans which makes the free version feel more limited than it should.

keeps everything on track

Pros

It comes with a wide range of features that are genuinely useful for the end user and everything works really well which helps make sure nothing gets forgotten.

Cons

Honestly it's very simple to use and up to this point I haven't run into any issues with Trello. Everything has been working just fine.

visual planning that delivers

Pros

Keeping my content plan in Trello works really well because I can see everything laid out visually, from pending tasks to comments and feedback. The calendar view is also very helpful and simple for my clients to use. On top of that, the free version gives me everything I need. There is a paid plan available but the free option is enough for me.

Cons

Only downside is that some basic automations and integrations require a paid plan and that upgrade is not cheap.

amazing value for small teams

Pros

There's a tremendous amount of functionality available for small teams at no cost and it's simple enough that even the least tech-savvy person can understand it.

Cons

I'm not sure this even counts as a downside but some of the stronger features.. especially unlimited boards.. are only available on a paid plan.

we like it!

Pros

Trello makes project management feel very simple with its simple drag-and-drop boards, clear visual task tracking and simple collaboration features that make tasks easy to organize and share with others.

Cons

Trello can start to feel a bit limited when handling more complex projects since reporting, dependencies and advanced workflows usually depend on paid plans or extra add-ons.

simple boards and handy automation

Pros

The board and card setup is simple and it makes tracking tasks visually clear. It handles the essentials well too, including task lists, due dates, labels and file attachments, all of which are simple to manage. Butler automation is also a helpful add-on for repetitive work like moving cards or sending reminders. It offers very good value for individuals and small teams and the overall speed and performance are reliable.

Cons

Customer support is adequate but it leans heavily toward self-service. Expect to depend quite a bit on the documentation when you need help.

Worth every penny

Pros

From day one, Trello felt worth the money. The customer support team is incredibly fast and competent which really deserves recognition. It's very user-friendly and the wide range of features makes the overall experience even better. Task tracking is standard for this type of software but it still does a lot to boost productivity and improve the speed of getting work done. It also helped significantly with automating parts of our processes while using the platform.

Cons

There are some annoying bugs but customer support resolved them quickly and the platform went back to performing at its best.

visual task tracking that works

Pros

Having everything laid out visually in Trello makes it much easier to see what I'm working on at a glance. It does a really good job of helping me stay focused organized and on top of my time.

Cons

Once there are too many cards in play at the same time, Trello can start to feel a bit overwhelming to manage. I'd also love more visual customization or variety so it's easier to tell things apart quickly.
