Great app for quick feedback requests on images and PDFs
Pros

My main use for Userback is to directly receive feedback on images and PDFs, and it works exceptionally well for that purpose. What I like is the option to upload a JPG to a specific "project" and share a link with clients, allowing them to explain and comment directly on their ideas and upload additional files if needed. This has saved us a lot of back and forth through email.

Cons

As far we have used this product I would like to mention few dislikes. The annotation tools have limited options. It would be great to have a "freehand" style tool to enhance the accuracy of the feedback we receive. Additionally, having the ability to set a custom domain would be a valuable feature. Although they offer the option to send email notifications from our own email, the lack of DMARC implementation means that we cannot use our email for notification if using "quarantine" or "reject" settings, and instead, we have to rely on the generic userback email.

A critical tool
Pros

The software is highly customizable. We utilize the "status" feature for tracking issues and bugs, moving tickets into different stages such as sprints, beta and live, as well as managing the backlog.

Cons

It can be a little frustrating when searching for a ticket using its ID, as I have to open the status of the ticket to access it. It would be more convenient if I could immediately view the ticket as soon as there is a match.

Pros

Filling out bug reports, providing feedback or suggesting new features is a breeze. The integration with Azure Dev Ops is excellent and we find the price-to-quality ratio to be just right.

Cons

It would be a nice improvement to have more lines (Enter) available in the description field when adding a bug. Additionally, the interface could be enhanced for better issue management.

It is incredibly user-friendly which allows easy access for users to report issues, write descriptions and provide screenshots or videos.

Cons

Customers do not have access to a portal where they can track open tickets. It is cumbersome to access the exported list of feedback. While integration with Jira is easy, it does not update back to the original feedback. It would be helpful to have metrics for tracking the time taken to resolve issues.

Pros

We have been utilizing Userback since 2019. Initially we implemented it on our website and client portal and then we started using it during website development to gather feedback and collaborate with clients on making changes. It works exceptionally well and the annotation tools are accurate and user-friendly. Even non-technical clients have no trouble submitting feedback on designs and website changes. It simplifies the process of gathering feedback, tracking implementation progress and facilitating communication with clients through the comments section.

Cons

Honestly, it works extremely well. I haven't encountered any bugs. It has all the features we need and the support team promptly responds to my messages. They are continually adding new features and improving existing ones.

Userback is incredibly easy to install and provides a visually-oriented platform. Userback insights after using it DAILY for the past two years
Pros

Userback has proven to be one of the most outstanding applications for us and a highly valuable purchase in the past two years. We have successfully integrated Userback into our Wordpress websites and Basecamp project management application. The ability to generate VISUAL feedback from any page has significantly enhanced our workflow and convenience. All stakeholders can provide feedback directly from any of our school websites without having to leave the page, open emails, or use separate screen sharing applications. As an administrator, I receive notifications whenever feedback is submitted or updated. Moreover, I can easily access everything within the Userback dashboard (each of our websites has its own project, allowing me to quickly identify the specific site and page of submitted feedback). These two features have saved an incredible amount of time in follow-up communications and task management related to our websites. I have also been thoroughly impressed by the continuous evolution of Userback's features throughout the two years we have been using it in our district.

Cons

Userback is mostly intuitive. I created a one-page guide with screenshots to guide end users through the basics. It would be helpful to have an on screen feature that could accomplish this. Considering all the other areas where Userback has been beneficial I can manage a simple tutorial.

Simple effective user created feedback and issue monitoring.
Pros

Userback has truly delivered on its promised pitch by providing a platform that simplifies the collection of user inputs regarding the CX/UX experience. The use of visuals always tells a better story when it comes to positive or negative CX experiences and Userback excels at providing that ability in an extremely user-friendly manner. It's remarkably easy to teach a new user how to engage with the platform.

With Userback, I can easily identify the content, image, video or section on a webpage that needs to be changed. Making modifications to those sections is a breeze. Additionally, I can add comments to tasks, further enhancing the collaborative process.

Cons

Honestly, there is not much missing in this software but sometimes, when working with multiple screens and the window is not maximized, the screenshot or selection might be missed in the final task. However, this issue can be easily resolved by maximizing the window.

I will keep it short and simple. User back offers Seamless integration - Smooth usability - Convenient connection between customers and the agency - Visually appealing - Fully responsive and many other abundance of features (with planned additions).

Cons

The customer group should be separate from the team members since we have a limited number of users and customers are only providing feedback. However customers should have a better overview of the feedback in the backend. It would be beneficial if customers could view their tasks consecutively to avoid duplicate tasks.

To be honest, there are numerous advantages to using Userback and I could write in detail about them. This software has been an immense help to our business. The feedback received is clear and concise which saves us a significant amount of time by understanding exactly what our clients want and making adjustments promptly. The integration process is straightforward and allows us to match our branding seamlessly. Also our Clients are genuinely impressed when they see how easily they can provide feedback. The feedback submission process is quick and simple. Users spot something amiss, click a feedback button and we receive feedback that is nearly perfect and definite. Rarely do we need to ask for further clarification. Furthermore the Userback team is very active in developing new features and enhancements. We required a system that could be seamlessly integrated into our products, making it quick and easy for our clients and us to receive feedback. Userback has truly excelled in that aspect and continues to improve. The software has far surpassed our expectations, now handling feedback for client designs, offering video feedback, and even providing console logs and browser events. It fulfills our intended needs, and they keep adding new features that greatly benefit our business.

Cons

Some of the initial pain points I had included: - User notifications when replying to feedback were opt-in and often not enabled. This meant I had to follow up via email to ensure they checked my comments. - I had to create the feedback widget from scratch for each project, even with the same settings. - While it was easy to use, the interface felt a bit clunky and required some initial training for clients to understand clearly. Userback has addressed all of these issues now: - The reply mechanism functions more like a ticket system to resolve issues. - It's possible to clone the feedback widget from similar projects. - The user interface is much more refined and clear, making it simple to provide feedback. My biggest challenge now is finding time to evaluate some of the new features Userback has developed and deciding whether to integrate them into our workflow.

Userback is incredibly easy for me to install and customize in my application. It allows me to gather detailed user feedback with screen annotations which allows users to visually communicate their issues. We also utilize it internally for QA testing new feature releases within our team or organization, and it proves to be highly efficient and effective for this purpose.

Cons

Considering the price point, the features offered are extensive compared to more expensive alternatives. An excellent additional feature (which we would greatly appreciate) would be the ability to include micro surveys for specific features we are testing.

Uploading and linking our development sites, and then sharing the link with our customers for review or even internally with our QA team is not a problem anymore with Userback. Userback is one of the best software packages for saving time and ensuring accurate customer feedback.

Cons

There isn't much that I dislike about the software but I do have one suggestion. The alert emails should include a preview image so that you can quickly identify what you are looking at. This would be especially helpful for businesses that receive multiple designs for review each day. Otherwise, everything else is awesome.

The facility to quickly deploy a tool that allows clients to easily provide feedback on different aspects of the website has been invaluable. It saves a significant amount of time that would otherwise be spent going back and forth with clients, trying to understand the exact part they are referring to. It is almost as good as being able to sit in the same room with the client as they navigate the site. Additionally, I appreciate the option to leave it in place but hidden on a live site until someone follows a specific link to activate the feedback widget.

The ease of obtaining clear client feedback through the screenshot and comments function is exceptional.

Cons

The "general feedback" comment can be misleading as people might assume it refers to general feedback on the project they are reviewing rather than feedback on the Userback application itself. It could be clearer and easier for users to understand that they need to add a comment after selecting "take a screenshot." We sometimes encounter individuals who take screenshots but do not follow through with adding their comments.

Keeps getting better.
Pros

The setup process is very straightforward. I have never encountered any issues. All you have to do is simply create the project, add the code to the website and you are good to go. Also it offers great customization options which allows me to tailor the feedback tool to match the brand and specific feedback requirements for each project. Moreover its versatility is impressive as it allows feedback on both websites and PDFs. I am also intrigued by the video feedback tool, although I haven't had the opportunity to use it yet. I can see how it would be beneficial for certain types of clients.

The only minor issue I have is the client account creation and usage. I have noticed that clients struggle or have no interest in setting up accounts and managing their feedback. Providing a more simplified and streamlined sign-up process and backend for clients would be highly beneficial. However, I don't believe any feedback tool has perfected this aspect yet. Fortunately, there are no issues with actually providing feedback as that has been a positive experience for clients.
