“Massive time saver overall
Pros
I've been really relieved by the payments functionality, it's been a game-changer for our daily operations. Pairing that with Salesforce integration has honestly saved me hours of processing each day. On top of that, automating freelancer onboarding took a huge load off my plate, especially as our company doubled this past year and our freelance workforce grew at least twentyfold. Worksuite has cut down the manual data entry I used to spend time on which has let me concentrate on higher-priority tasks and strategic work instead.
Cons
When I first started learning the software it felt really overwhelming and quite complex. There's a lot to absorb about its many features, nuances and capabilities and it took me a while to get comfortable. Another frustrating thing is the freelancer onboarding page, searching there is clumsy and I often end up scrolling through hundreds of freelancer profiles before finding the exact person I need which wastes a surprising amount of time.

“good start, value not great
Pros
We had to work through a couple of compliance hiccups and thanks to the software, those issues were seen from a different perspective.
Cons
I personally couldn't see the product's full value so I wasn't convinced it was completely worth it for us.

“Built to scale smoothly
Pros
I love that Worksuite avoids a one-size-fits-all mentality. Almost every tool is built to be incredibly user-friendly while still offering deep customization and honestly it's pretty impressive. Right now, we use the platform to automate much of the onboarding for our independent contractors, think gig-economy roles, and to keep compliance in check. As our requirements grow, I can easily see us turning on more modules which is another big advantage of the system. Shifting our workflows over to Worksuite was a deliberate choice and I believe it will make scaling our operations effortless.
Cons
We would really appreciate having a kanban-style board view included so we could manage workflows visually and move tasks around more simplely.

“UX needs some polish
Pros
Personally I'm impressed with how the software functions, it has handled everything we've needed and fulfilled all of our requirements.
Cons
One downside I've noticed is that even after everyone completes onboarding, their details remain visible on the 'all stages' page. I'd really prefer that the page clear out once an individual or a whole group finishes every onboarding stage so completed entries aren't displayed anymore.

“too expensive to justify
Pros
What I liked most was that contractors could always see exactly how much they'd be paid at any given moment for each project so there was never any confusion about earnings.
Cons
I found it costly, charging three dollars per contractor even on small payouts like thirty dollars and I also experienced significant lag between when payroll was submitted and when contractors actually received their funds.

“User friendly and reliable
Pros
One of the first things I noticed is how user-friendly the website is. Honestly a lot of people overlook that detail, yet I feel it's incredibly important for any tool we rely on. In my work, multiple parts of the workflow must coordinate and I've seen projects stall when a program isn't built for every member of the team to use comfortably. Because this software is simple, those slowdowns are much less likely to happen in my experience. I also appreciate the template options that come bundled with the platform since they let me shape the setup to match a specific project I had in mind with useful detail.
Cons
One feature I'd find helpful is a system that can send targeted reminders to staff, because that would organize follow-ups and keep everyone on the same page. Other than that, I honestly can't think of any real drawbacks to this site.

“Handles scaling extremely well
Pros
Managing our entire translator and voice-talent roster became so much simpler once we started using Shortlist. I could finally stop relying on email threads and keep everything, from job postings and hiring to live projects, task tracking and invoicing, in a single place. No more digging through endless messages since each person and every project now stores all relevant details on one platform. I'm particularly impressed by the integrations available especially the Slack notifications that keep the team updated. On top of that, we received exceptional support from the Shortlist team, who helped set up our account and continue with monthly check-ins and tailored personalization.
Cons
I would really appreciate more powerful bulk-editing features for tasks, because right now I have to add and change details one item at a time. That single-entry workflow slows me down when handling many tasks at once so better multi-select editing or batch updates would save a lot of time.

“service that truly goes above
Pros
I feel like this is a dream come true. After months of hunting for a tool like this, I finally went with Shortlist and it checks all the boxes for me. In my experience Shortlist provides everything I needed from contractor management software. They keep updating the product and actually listen to customers which keeps me consistently impressed.
Cons
There aren't many negatives from my perspective. What I've found is that the platform's security is so strong that logging in can sometimes take a little longer if, like me, you've forgotten your password. Even so, I view that as a positive, Shortlist holds a lot of sensitive information so strong security is a huge benefit.

“Great team
Pros
What stood out to me was the onboarding feature, it had the biggest impact. At our company, we used Shortlist for vendor onboarding and the team helped us develop our first proof of concept. It genuinely simplified how we bring new vendors on board in a very user-friendly way. Various teams across the organization gave it excellent feedback.
Cons
Shortlist included many of the features we asked for which I appreciated. If I had to point out one downside, I would say I wish the customization options were a bit more flexible.

“big potential, poor execution
Pros
I've discovered a ton of features here though many are poorly implemented and underutilized.
Cons
Honestly I've experienced payments that are incredibly slow and almost never arrive when expected. It regularly takes two to three weeks for transactions to go through and holidays can stretch that delay even further. Their customer service is frequently unreachable, only a chat feature exists and there's no phone number to call. I end up feeling extremely frustrated and very disappointed by the whole process.

“Only works well for freelancers
Pros
As a freelancer, I really appreciate being able to send messages to my employer and attach files I upload. The Shortlist system also notifies them every time I post an update which is great. Because of those automatic alerts, I no longer have to chase or remind my employer when a project is finished and communication feels smoother overall.
Cons
Unfortunately we couldn't get the payments to work reliably so we ended up using Shortlist solely as a project management tool rather than leveraging it as a full-service payment platform. It meant we had to handle payments outside the app which limited how much we could rely on Shortlist for the whole workflow.

“Partner management made simple
Pros
To begin with I find it incredibly simple to navigate and use. I'm also a fan of how, unlike many other platforms, it offers extensive customization which I believe will matter a great deal to numerous companies.
Cons
It's still being implemented so I haven't encountered any issues so far.

“Clean interface, high cost
Pros
For my team the interface is clean and simple which makes tracking all of our approved contractors simple and efficient.

“Highly Recommended
Pros
I'm finding the interface really user-friendly, the customer support excellent and the platform delivers inventive business solutions. What I especially like is that we can view our freelance talent's portfolios all in one simple place which helped our teams confidently pick the right people.
Cons
From my perspective I'd like to see expanded reporting features, I'm aware they're planned and once those analytics are added, I believe this becomes an outstanding tool for any company to onboard and manage freelance talent.

“Reliable and professional
Pros
I've found Shortlist offers a user-friendly environment and the team can consistently customize features based on our requests. The information shown on the platform is clear and we have our payees invited to the system in a timely manner. Payments are processed both promptly and accurately every time. The service team is always responsive and ready to resolve any issues that come up.
Cons
Wish we could export customized reports directly from the platform, that feature would make everything perfect for our workflow.

“Business-critical for us
Pros
I absolutely love that this platform lets me keep everything organized in a single location. Before, I had important items scattered everywhere, emails, Adobe Cloud, paper documents, SharePoint, Word and Excel files and more. My team used to need to ask me for details but now they can access what they need with a single click. This has made my workflow so much more efficient and it's a far cheaper solution than hiring an additional person to help out.
Cons
One improvement I'd really like to see is a more advanced search function. I think it would be helpful if I could target specific parts of a profile when searching, for example only within resumes, role descriptions, or internal notes so results are more precise. It would also be great if matching keywords were highlighted so I can immediately spot where they appear in a profile. Additionally, being able to preview documents without downloading them would save my team time and make review faster.

“great and still improving
Pros
Using Shortlist feels very user-friendly and it comes packed with plenty of helpful features that let me manage my freelance team more effectively. What I particularly appreciate is that freelancers can create their own profiles and mark when they're available so I can immediately see who would be the best fit for any specific project.
Cons
Shortlist does have somewhat limited reporting and project-tracking capabilities right now. I'm encouraged, however, because I feel the team listens to feedback on an ongoing basis and is actively developing new features to fill those gaps which gives me some reassurance.
