vital for remote learning

Pros

During remote learning, the platform truly felt essential for both teachers and students. The video tools made a big difference because being able to see one another was so important for keeping students engaged, teaching content clearly, demonstrating lessons and working together. It was also especially helpful for accessibility, giving deaf users and deaf educators a clear way to communicate fluidly with deaf students through reliable video conferencing. Also screen sharing made it much easier to walk students through demonstrations and help them troubleshoot technical issues step by step.

Cons

The biggest limitation was that the platform depends heavily on internet access, along with decent speed and bandwidth. That created challenges when students needed hot spots especially depending on transportation and whether parents were available to help. If the platform could work well with lower bandwidth or slower speeds, it would have been even more effective since there would have been fewer interruptions to teaching from freezing, lagging or calls shutting down completely.

Offers virtual backgrounds

Pros

One feature I really appreciate is the virtual background option because it lets me join or host meetings from anywhere without stressing about how my actual surroundings look. The platform is also simple to learn and move around in which makes it comfortable to use even for new users. Another big advantage is the large participant capacity and that has helped us stay connected with colleagues who work far away while still making the meetings feel interactive and close. I also value the meeting controls especially the mute and unmute permissions for administrators. Also having access through a smartphone makes it even more convenient.

Cons

The only downside is that it needs a strong internet connection to work well.

good tool

Pros

The platform delivers reliable streaming speed and produces sharp, high-definition video and audio during calls and video conferences. It works really well for virtual meetings especially with useful features like screen sharing, file sending and presentation tools.

Cons

I noticed that the quality of the recorded video is different from the live video stream. The recording seems reduced and not nearly as clear as what I see during the actual meeting, even though I have not changed any of the recording settings.

attend meetings from anywhere

Pros

Whether it's for a business, a group or just an individual, this platform works well across almost any industry or use case! It's available anytime, from anywhere which makes it very convenient. The free version already includes a lot and upgrading to a paid plan adds more tools, longer meeting durations, higher attendee limits and extra features. It's also nice that companies can begin with the free plan and move up to a subscription as their needs expand. Also the software is simple to pick up, user friendly, packed with features even at the basic level and backed by a helpful tutorial library for getting the most out of it.

Cons

I don't have many complaints about this software. I've been using it for the past 4 to 5 years and no matter the industry or the size of the team or organization, it has consistently been an excellent tool for bringing people together to share ideas and information.

helpful for presentations

Pros

Works well for presentations, interviews and recorded discussions. It's user friendly and the menu is easy enough to figure out without any trouble.

Cons

The recorded video quality is weak so it may not be the best option when high quality recorded videos are important.

great for remote meetings

Pros

Working from home during the pandemic has made this tool especially useful. The interface makes it simple to place voice or video calls, set up meetings for either small or large groups and send invitations for all kinds of activities. The integration with Google Calendar is also a big advantage.

Cons

I do wish there were a more easy way to keep both the meeting and chat window on a single screen. Screen sharing can also feel a bit cluttered at times or the option itself can be confusing so hopefully future updates improve that.

free and professional meetings

Pros

One thing that makes the platform really stand out is how it manages to feel both free and professional at the same time. We can use it for work meetings with full functions so there's no need to pay just to access a specific feature or complete a certain task. It also supports plenty of participants, I think up to around 100 which is more than enough since my current work meetings never reach that number. Another very useful feature is that users can take control of and access each other's endpoints and it's not overly restricted by security limitations.

Cons

The real downside with the platform is the 40 minute time limit. Still considering all the features included, that feels acceptable to me.

easy to use

Pros

Running meetings on the platform feels really easy yet it still gives you all the powerful settings you could need for a solid meeting experience. Screen sharing works well whether you're on a desktop or using a mobile device. It's also handy that you can schedule meetings, chat with contacts and share files all in one place.

Cons

Problem is the price especially if you want to use it for personal things like family get-togethers. Even so the quality it delivers makes the cost feel justified to me.

reliable platform

Pros

Using the platform has been very easy across the desktop app, browser plugins and mobile apps. The connection stays strong, the audio and video quality are dependable and it lets me connect with clients safely no matter where they are in the world.

Cons

People who are brand new to the platform sometimes need a bit of guidance with installation and figuring out the mute and camera on/off controls but that usually gets sorted out quickly with a little support.

Part of my routine

Pros

Joining online classes and meetings with this software has become part of my daily routine. I use it almost every day for lectures, meetings with my supervisor and discussions with colleagues at the university. The video and audio quality are excellent and we hardly ever run into disconnection issues while using the platform. It also makes sharing information and powerpoint presentations very convenient. The feature I value most is the ability to record meetings and classes for later review. Because of that, I can focus fully on listening during lectures instead of rushing to take notes and afterward I go back to the recordings and write everything down carefully.

Cons

Setting up a new meeting can be a bit complicated especially for older professors. Also needing to enter a password to join a class or meeting can feel frustrating when you are trying to get in quickly.

So convenient

Pros

Getting meetings up and running is incredibly simple and the overall convenience for our members has been a big plus. Being able to set up a meeting in just a moment is great!

Cons

Everything we've used has worked really well. If I had to point out one small thing, it would be the doorbell sound when admitting people since it can be a bit distracting during meetings.

solid security

Pros

Setting up meetings in the platform is easy and getting one started only takes a moment. Sharing a link makes it simple to invite several participants at once and the password protection is a nice touch since it helps ensure only people with the correct password can join.

Cons

It's a good platform overall but the pricing feels expensive. Another limitation is that the platform still doesn't offer a fully developed chat experience like apps such as Teams which makes team collaboration less complete.

Love the breakout rooms

Pros

Has been really enjoyable to use overall especially since pretty much everyone already knows the platform which makes working with others much more convenient. It helps me stay connected with coworkers during projects so we can jump on quick updates, talk through what's happening and let everyone contribute without needing to be in the same room. It's also really useful for presentations and one of my favorite features is that more than one person can present which is great for group collaboration. The breakout room option is another big plus because it makes team-based work much more manageable.

Cons

Can become a bit challenging when meetings have a lot of participants. The connection tends to get choppy at times and occasionally drops altogether so I'm hoping future improvements will make the overall connectivity more reliable.

widely accepted for meetings

Pros

Since it is so commonly used in professional settings, most people already know their way around it which makes meetings easier to get started. The screen recording feature is also really useful!

Cons

The free version of does come with limitations and I'm not really a fan of the interface. I still prefer Google Meet overall but I end up using this platform for external meetings because clients and vendors are more familiar with it.

So amazing!

Pros

Being able to view everyone in a meeting is great! The breakout rooms are incredibly useful and simple to manage as a facilitator. Reactions also add a fun touch while still being genuinely helpful during sessions.

Cons

One thing I'd really like is an option to see my shared screen along with the participants and chat at the same time. It would also help if the hand raise feature were a bit more noticeable.

remote support and security

Pros

Something that keeps standing out with the platform is how often they improve both the functions and overall usability of the platform. Whenever a problem or security exploit comes up, they usually respond with a practical fix. meeting disruptions became an issue and they added new in-meeting security controls. Too many participants talking at once? There's a mute all option ready to go. On the IT side, we turned on the Remote Support feature which lets us send a request during a meeting for a user to share their screen, restart their computer and handle other support tasks. That has really sped up how quickly we can assist our users.

Cons

The drawback about the frequent updates is that it is not always easy to stay on top of when a version is about to become unsupported. It would help a lot if users were notified ahead of time when their software version is getting close to the end of its usable lifecycle. Another improvement would be making application updates more automated and smooth.

excellent for large meetings

Pros

Calls run really well and if the connection gets weak, the app automatically lowers the camera resolution to make better use of the device's resources. The screen sharing is especially useful because you can draw directly on it with the built-in tools which helps a lot for corrections, lessons or pointing out specific parts of a presentation. The pointer is also very handy. Out of all the apps I've used, this is the one that performs best when there are many users connected at the same time.

Cons

Using it on the phone is one part I don't enjoy because it feels confusing. The few times I used the mobile app, I joined with the microphone on and couldn't figure out right away how to mute it and it was also hard to find how to turn the sound on so I could hear the call. Another thing I don't like is that when sharing a screen, the chat becomes very hard to see.

Perfect for online sessions

Pros

Running my online practice with the platform's free plan has given me enough features to handle what I need. It also seems to perform better than other options when bandwidth is low which makes a real difference. Sending invites to clients is fairly convenient because my email account is connected to the app and even without that, copying and pasting the meeting link is simple enough.

Cons

Part that feels a little awkward is sending a meeting invite to a client. It can take some time to get into the email program although if you're sending several invitations, you only have to do that step once. Another limitation is that the free version does not include a HIPAA business associate agreement. Once the Covid emergency ends, that agreement will be required so the free plan will no longer work for clinical use. At that point though, I should still be able to use free versions of other video platforms like Doxy and VSee.

Best option right now!

Pros

The platform really feels unmatched right now and to me, it stands out as the best option available. It comes packed with features like private chat, breakout rooms, voting, polls, reactions, recording and plenty more. We use it for online classes and it works incredibly well. The host gets full control over what participants are allowed to do which makes running meetings feel much more secure and manageable. It's also highly dependable and connects with a wide range of integrations. On top of that it's such a flexible platform! You can use it for meetings, remote work, team hangouts, online classes, group collaboration, streaming to YouTube and other platforms, webinars and a lot more.

Cons

Since it's considered one of the top tools on the market, the pricing is on the expensive side. For businesses it absolutely makes sense because of everything it offers but I do wish it were more affordable so more people could use it especially for personal purposes too.
