Industry Standard PM Software that declined over time

Pros

The interface was easy to understand and navigate. You could create customized reports.

Cons

There are many issues. Rent Cafe (tenant portal) never worked correctly for our tenants. Different reports often provided inconsistent answers. There aren't enough automation options for daily functions, and customer/technical support is minimal. Even the numbers on their "Support" site were either disconnected or unanswered.

Horrible

Pros

The software provides a comprehensive overview of tenant payment histories and lease details, allowing for detailed financial tracking and management. This helps ensure that any discrepancies can be quickly identified and addressed.

Cons

It is inaccurate, often showing tenants as late in rent when they're not. Nothing can be edited. It's terrible.

The Best Portal for Billing/Invoicing Out there !!!

Pros

I typically use Yardi to process invoices and bills and to track invoice processing. It's incredibly easy to keep a record of accounts payable and offers amazing features for making payments with any suitable method. The record of each invoice, with exact dates, payment date, and entry date, is fantastic for aligning with our accounting. Love it!

Cons

Some features can be slow, which could be improved.

Happy We Made The Switch To Yardi Voyager

Pros

Voyager isn't flashy, but it offers an easy-to-navigate interface that we loved. We especially love the Community Manager dashboard, which has streamlined our live reporting and ability to easily access availability, resident data, make-ready schedules, and more! Plus, the number of built-in reports is astronomical.

Cons

The "roles" and "permissions" are tricky to navigate, even with Yardi's guidance. We've been live in Yardi Voyager for two months and still encounter access issues for essential areas, though they are easily updated once we know what permission to change.

Powerful property management software

Pros

Yardi Voyager is a comprehensive solution for property management. From the tenant application process to utilizing the inventory module, Yardi Voyager provides a solution for managing units and tenants that is far superior to previous software we've used.

Cons

Certain parts of Yardi are prioritized, so developers focus on upgrading those features while letting other useful ones become outdated.

Well known, not bad for affordable sites

Pros

Relatively intuitive. I was able to create custom reports, and our IT department worked with support to integrate my report with the necessary data, eliminating manual monthly commission reports.

Cons

The cost is high, and without a dedicated support person, it can take a while to receive help.

Yardi voyager

Pros

I like the ability to automate tasks, reports, and letters.

Cons

I would like to issue multiple violation letters for the same infraction at once. This was changed recently. I'd also like to navigate from one owner to the next with a click and see the account balance on the main owner screen.

Pros

My favorite aspect of Yardi Voyager is its ability to integrate information from various sources for a streamlined pipeline view.

Nothing's Better Than Yardi!

Pros

The system is incredibly simple to use, even for those who aren't very tech-savvy. Yardi is an excellent choice for any property management company.

Cons

It takes some time to learn the system as things are not simple to locate. Sometimes it requires multiple steps to find what you need.

I like the reports and how simple it is to find exactly what you're looking for. Processing POs is very easy, especially now that vendors can upload invoices directly into Yardi.

You need to step up your game

Pros

Not much. The fact that I can do some things on the phone app but not on my PC, and vice versa, is quite frustrating.

Cons

Where do I start? Reviewing hours requires manually checking each day instead of seeing a spreadsheet. The lack of automatic data syncing is baffling. Every change on work orders or hours needs manual syncing. I constantly encounter data retrieval errors, lost hours, and clumsy work order lists. My company switched to Yardi from Impak, and it feels like a significant step backward for work order and hour tracking. An interactive spreadsheet showing weeks, not just single days, is desperately needed.
