An employee ID is different from the employee username and password. It’s a unique number assigned to individual employees for use in the Paycom ecosystem. By allocating a unique number, companies can easily recognize and track an employee without any hassle or mistake.
Finding an employee ID in the Paycom desktop app is really simple. Follow the given steps to find yours:
- Go to the log-in portal and sign in using your credentials, such as username, password, and the last four digits of your Social Security Number (SSN)
- Select the ‘Information’ card, which is usually in the middle of the other cards.

- You can also access it by clicking the ‘Information’ tab in the navigation bar that’s displayed on top of the dashboard

- Click the ‘Additional Information’ tab
- Scroll down, and you should be able to find your employee ID there. (Employee ID is also sometimes referred to as a ‘Batch number’, so you should check for that too)
Another way of checking your employee ID is via the profile icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
- Click on the user icon

- It should take you to a page where employee ID, along with other user details, are mentioned
Finding the employee ID in the Paycom app is similar to that of the desktop app. Follow the given steps:
- Log in to the app using your username, SSN, and password
- Select the ‘Information’ tab on the home page

- Click ‘Additional Information’
- Scroll through the page to find your ‘Employee ID’
Alternatively, you can find it from the ‘Profile’ icon by following these steps:
- Log in to the app
- Click on the ‘Account’ button on the lower right corner

There, you will find your employee ID along with other relevant information.
As long as you have access to your account, meaning you know your password, username, and SSN number, you can access your employee ID. Simply log in using your credentials and follow the steps above to navigate to your employee ID.
If you are still unable to find your employee ID, you can simply ask your manager or contact Paycom’s support.
