“Customer Service is Next Level Awsome!”
Pros
I recently started using CAKE, and I must say, setting up the system was a lot easy then I expected. Despite being 61 years old, I was able to set up our store with minimal instruction. Whenever I needed help, the customer service was consistently outstanding. With 36 years of business experience, I can honestly say that CAKE's customer service is the best I have ever encountered!
Cons
I do have a few desires for the system, such as receiving notifications when a customer arrives for curbside pickup.

Pros
Learning this system was not at all an issue, and it is highly user friendly. The customer service is excellent as well.
Cons
It's unfortunate that there is no availability of SIM cards for "on the go" or mobile businesses. Additionally, it's not compatible with most hotspots due to Ethernet requirements.

Pros
Most of the time, the customer service people are extremely helpful with whatever I need.
Cons
Sometimes, it gets extremely confusing when a problem arises, and I am unsure about the steps to take. It would also be helpful if it had timing features for different stations on the line.

“SEEK OTHER OPTION”
Pros
There's absolutely nothing to like about this POS. We received a brand new system that didn't even have the necessary software installed to operate. The tech support couldn't log in remotely to fix the issue due to the missing software.
Cons
My experience with it was terrible. The equipment was faulty upon receipt, and the company couldn't fix it.

The cost per credit transaction has increased. Previously, we paid a percentage, but now we have to pay a fee and a percentage.

Pros
Their POS support is fantastic! Even though we've been using Cake for our POS systems for a few years now, their team is always ready to assist and even teaches this old dog some new tricks from time to time!
Cons
The peripheral hardware seems to struggle to keep up with usage, but apart from that, it functions well.

“Overall a Good Product with Excellent Customer Support”
Pros
The customer support staff has always been great. I've been a CAKE user for 6 or 7 years now. Yesterday, I spent 3 hours on the phone with a Cake team member who informed me at the end of the call that he was supposed to get off work at 4 pm. I called at 3:55 pm, and he gave his best efforts, maintained a great attitude, and genuinely wanted to help me troubleshoot the issues we were experiencing. I am writing this review solely to customer support team a shout-out!
Cons
There are a few essential aspects that most restaurants have, such as happy hour, and CAKE doesn't handle special pricing well without creating duplicate items with discounted prices and a separate "happy hour" menu from the standard POS menu. It gets the job done, but it would be better if an item could have multiple prices based on specific times of the day.

Pros
The ease of use for my servers and bartenders is a major plus.
Cons
We encounter some difficulties with our third POS, which we move from the outdoor cantina to our indoor space during colder months. It's hard to designate one monitor as the primary and two as clients. Often, two are listed as the main POS and one as a client, causing the order pads to initialize repeatedly.

The customer service provided by the team was absolutely amazing.
Cons
The reporting is inconsistent, and I had to open some tickets to get my issues resolved. But the good thing is that customer support team helped me with in a proper manner.

The 24 hour customer service is outstanding. The customer support team of Cake go above and beyond to help resolve any problems that arise. This gives me peace of mind and allows me to focus on other matters.

The interface is easy to use, and the equipment is of high quality. The software has come a long way since I started using it in 2015.
Cons
It would be beneficial to have 3rd party integrations (Grubhub, Doordash, scheduling/timeclocking, Rippling). I'd also like to add pictures and have better table layout formatting.
