Disappointment: Steer Clear of CIN7
Pros

Their customer support is present which is a positive aspect. They do respond to inquiries, although not always in the most helpful way. If you're considering inventory management software and don't mind dealing with a complex pricing structure, CIN7 might be worth considering. There are definitely other options available, and this is one of them.

Cons

Their pricing factor is very chaotic, with unnecessary charges and a ridiculously cumbersome account closure process that demands a 30 day notice. It seems they designed it this way to keep extracting money from users. Customer support is practically non-existent, showing no willingness to assist. Honestly, this company and its software are a waste of your resources. There are much better alternatives available. I strongly advise staying away at all costs.

Poor Customer service
Pros

It offers a range of possible options and integrations.

Cons

It's a jack of all trades, but a master of none. It simply doesn't work well if you have a complex supply chain.

Has potencial but a very poor customer service and is missing very simple yet important functionalities
Pros

The best thing about Cin 7 Core is how easy it is to receive merchandise at the warehouse.

Cons

The customer service is truly terrible. If you don't resend the tickets, they might never respond. And when they do, their reply is often dismissive, trying to close the ticket and make you give up. They fail to solve 95% of the important issues and claim they can't help or providing irrelevant answers. Dealing with them wastes a lot of time. They send useless tutorials that don't address your problems. I could go on and on.

Cin7 Review
Pros

I don't really find anything that stands out. I think it's a bit complex and it iseasy to get lost or forget to click on one of the tabs. There's a lot of back and forth.

Cons

It's not user-friendly. There is too much clicking involved to reach your desired destination. You can't even modify sheets.

New User Setup
Pros

The ability to create, modify and easily access all areas of customer setup has been seamless and the implementation support team has been very responsive.

Cons

It doesn't allow adding more mandatory fields to quotes, but I understand that it's an inventory program not a quoting program.

Function is good, but the price will keep increasing.
Pros

Cin7 has most of the functions required to run a small or large business.

Cons

They keep increasing the plan every year, while the functions and services remain the same or may even be downgraded if you don't upgrade your plan.

Using Cin7 Core for Order Management
Pros

I like the fact that I am being able to integrate my sales channels (Etsy and Shopify. Amazon is also an option, but I chose not to integrate it to save money) and input manual orders in one place to keep track of orders, inventory, shipments and payments. I've used their previous product, OrderHive, so it's all quite intuitive to use and they provided excellent onboarding and setup assistance.

Cons

I wish it were more affordable for my small business, like OrderHive was.

Hard to set up
Pros

Once you understand how it works everything becomes easier.

Cons

The integration is incredibly difficult to follow. There's a platform available for guidance, but it doesn't provide clear information, and even if it does, you don't really understand what you can or cannot do. It feels like there's no connection between each task. I didn't like the fact that the onboarding team doing everything instead of letting me do it to become more familiar with the entire process.

Cin7 Core Review
Pros

The system allows for a high level of detail which is really impressive.

Cons

It wouldn't be fair for me to form an opinion since we just activated the system today. However, I haven't encountered any specific aspect of the program that I would take issue with.

Good tool that does all we need, pricing and support can be improved
Pros

Cin7 Core is feature rich and excels in inventory management. We also use it for stock control and order fulfillment.

Cons

Considering the relatively large monthly investment, the support could be improved when we rarely need it. As we started small, each additional user, API, and integration has significantly increased the total subscription price.

Good tool that does all we need, pricing and support can be improved
Pros

It is easy to understand and figure out when starting off.

Cons

The point of sale system offered with this software is beyond useless. It lacks functionality and features. Programming in-store promotions is a struggle and creating area-specific promotions for outlets is not possible. The cash float setup is unhelpful and user-unfriendly. The journals between Xero and Cin7 don't sync correctly. Investigating till overs and shorts is a nightmare. Implementing and using gift cards is cumbersome. We used Lightspeed as our previous point of sale system, and you could learn a thing or two from them. Compared to Lightspeed, your system feels like something from the Stone Age.

Pros

In general, I find the platform good but it requires some basic improvements.

Cons

The purchase orders are problematic. They don't populate all the products per vendor, and they fail to include the 90 day usage of each product on the purchase order. This information is crucial for creating purchase orders.

The worst and most useless support you can get. Terrible Software
Pros

There is nothing I like about it when comparing it to the previous software we used.

Cons

The worst aspect of Cin7 Core is their support. It's incredibly slow, and they haven't resolved any of the cases we have reported. The open cases include: Cin7 Core failing to send our orders to the fulfillment center, resulting in delayed processing; inaccurate quantity submission to the marketplace we sell in and improper syncing of new listings on the marketplace. In general, essential functionalities that similar software still offers are missing, causing us to lose out on crucial benefits, especially during the most important time of the year.

Pros

Pros

Cin7 Core is complex, but over time it will prove to be a valuable resource.

Terrible Customer Support. Lacks flexibility and API issues
Pros

The order management reasonable, however is not as intuitive as I would like.

Cons

Operating with DEAR/Cin7 Core presents numerous challenges. They don't offer pricing flexibility. I purchased an annual subscription to save on monthly costs, but if I need to add a POS for just one month, I have to purchase the entire annual year. Customer support is utterly useless, and API issues can cause accounting problems. Overall, it's not a great software to use, but it gets the job done at a high cost. Customer support takes a long time to reply, and half of the support team is unhelpful.

Terrible, Terrible Software for Small Businesses
Pros

To be honest, it has been a battle from start to finish and I haven't found anything positive.

Cons

The integration with Shopify and Xero is appalling. The lack of decent support has increased costs in my business instead of reducing them, as we've had to hire extra staff. The logic behind the software is incoherent, for example, it posts sales but not corresponding COGS if fulfillment is delayed. There is a lack of on-screen reporting, and the user interface is diabolical.
