This program seems specifically designed for boutique industries like estheticians and workout studios. Unfortunately, my company which focuses on dog training has to find workarounds to make the program work for us. It would be a perfect fit if I owned a yoga studio but that's not the case.

The system works to a certain extent. It seems to have all the essential functions expected from a CRM, although the way they are presented can be quite convoluted.
Cons
I have quite a lengthy list of concerns with Mindbody. Firstly, I find it inconvenient that I have to physically press a button to manually release a schedule at a specific time and date. In today's world, where other CRMs allow you to prebuild and schedule releases, this requirement seems unnecessary. Secondly, the membership system doesn't make sense. Clients cannot suspend their membership and book a class until the day it's unsuspended. For example, if a client suspends their membership until the 16th, they cannot book a class on the 17th until the 16th actually arrives. This lack of flexibility could easily be resolved with a simple code. Thirdly, Mindbody overpromises the functions of its product. I was sold a Cross Regional product with the assurance that my clients could seamlessly book across studios. However, in reality, they couldn't book without numerous manual inputs, and it was far from seamless. Despite their attempts to fix it, the issue remains unresolved, and they won't allow me to leave the platform, even after it was proven that their solution doesn't work. When I raised these issues, their response was, "That's a known limitation and is on the roadmap." No such limitation was disclosed to me prior to signing up. This list could go on and on. If you're considering Mindbody for multiple studios or a user-friendly product, I strongly advise against it.

I absolutely love Mindbody for its seamless scheduling of client appointments and the analytics feature is simply fantastic! I rely on it weekly to report sales to my accountant and analyze the sources of my sales in a given quarter. Based on the insights, I made adjustments to my marketing approach. Additionally, I really like the feature to create automations that welcome clients, send notifications and request reviews at different stages of their experience with us. Thank you!
Cons
Getting my branded website to seamlessly work with Mindbody was initially challenging. I had to switch from the 'appointment' setup to a 'class' setup because my business accommodates up to 11 people per 2-hour session. It required some effort to redo everything, but once I made the switch, it's been working fine.

Cons
Mindbody's customer support is terrible. They struggle to understand and resolve recurring software problems. There are constant glitches, and all automated emails end up in spam. Credit card processing is significantly delayed which takes up to 5 days. Considering what you get, the pricing is excessively expensive.

Mindbody makes scheduling classes incredibly easy and it helps me keep track of my schedule. I can find classes and cancel if something comes up and I am unable to attend. It also provides information on the instructors. Essentially, I no longer need to call the gym because all the information is readily available in the app.
Cons
Scheduling classes at multiple gyms can be a little clunky. Navigating between all of them is not easy, but it's not impossible either.

One thing I really like is that they have a marketplace featuring other businesses, and it's easy for people to see and take advantage of new client specials.
Cons
In January of this year, I made the switch from Wellness Living to Mindbody, hoping it would simplify my life. Unfortunately, it has had the opposite effect. Firstly, while Mindbody allows you to set up late or no-show fees, it doesn't automatically charge the customer. I have to manually handle that myself. Additionally, it's absurd that customers need to be in a contract just to store their credit card information for charging purposes. Whenever I call for assistance, I am always instructed to do everything myself in front of a laptop. It's frustrating because it often takes a long time for them to identify the issue, and they typically send me a series of emails with step-by-step instructions instead of resolving it directly. It's far from convenient. Another major problem is that all the emails I send out for campaigns and advertising end up in my clients' spam folders. This defeats the purpose because they never see them. Mindbody's solution is to use a domain email instead of a Gmail, but it's too late for me to change my email at this point. Their alternative suggestion is to individually ask each client to add my email as a contact, but there's no easy way to do that. Even if I send them an email requesting it, they still won't see it. I also created a new client form that I wanted people to sign just once for all their future visits, but apparently, I have to individually send it to all my existing clients for them to sign. This requirement is absolutely ridiculous. Honestly, as a business owner, I am highly disappointed with the software switch. It has been very inconvenient, and I have to figure out everything on my own. Every time I call for support, I end up spending more time on the phone with customer service than I did with my previous software. It's disheartening that 90% of the time, they don't even know what the issue is and send me step-by-step instructions based on their best guess. At this point, I fail to see the purpose of customer service.

I have to say, customer support is lacking. Even with the best scheduling app, if it takes up to 10 hours a week to get answers, being put on hold, making repeat calls, and dealing with confusion among the company, it becomes impractical to do business.
Cons
Their customer support is practically non-existent, and I found myself spending more time on the phone than actually getting work done. We were their customers for over 10 years, but we eventually gave up. When we tried to switch providers, they made it too much difficult to obtain our data, which is essentially our entire database. They misled us by claiming our database was immediately wiped out, but it wasn't. The losses we incurred with this company were substantial.

I absolutely love that I can see various types of classes available during my available self-care time slots. Since my schedule often shifts, and self-care time overlaps with other obligations, MindBody keeps me informed about what's happening now and in the future. It allows me to explore options, book classes, and even sends me a calendar link with mapping. This app is amazing!

Cons
Mindbody's customer support is terrible. They struggle to understand and resolve recurring software problems. There are constant glitches, and all automated emails end up in spam. Credit card processing is significantly delayed which takes up to 5 days. Considering what you get, the pricing is excessively expensive.

Mindbody makes scheduling classes incredibly easy and it helps me keep track of my schedule. I can find classes and cancel if something comes up and I am unable to attend. It also provides information on the instructors. Essentially, I no longer need to call the gym because all the information is readily available in the app.
Cons
Scheduling classes at multiple gyms can be a little clunky. Navigating between all of them is not easy, but it's not impossible either.

One thing I really like is that they have a marketplace featuring other businesses, and it's easy for people to see and take advantage of new client specials.

In January of this year, I made the switch from Wellness Living to Mindbody, hoping it would simplify my life. Unfortunately, it has had the opposite effect. Firstly, while Mindbody allows you to set up late or no-show fees, it doesn't automatically charge the customer. I have to manually handle that myself. Additionally, it's absurd that customers need to be in a contract just to store their credit card information for charging purposes. Whenever I call for assistance, I am always instructed to do everything myself in front of a laptop. It's frustrating because it often takes a long time for them to identify the issue, and they typically send me a series of emails with step-by-step instructions instead of resolving it directly. It's far from convenient. Another major problem is that all the emails I send out for campaigns and advertising end up in my clients' spam folders. This defeats the purpose because they never see them. Mindbody's solution is to use a domain email instead of a Gmail, but it's too late for me to change my email at this point. Their alternative suggestion is to individually ask each client to add my email as a contact, but there's no easy way to do that. Even if I send them an email requesting it, they still won't see it. I also created a new client form that I wanted people to sign just once for all their future visits, but apparently, I have to individually send it to all my existing clients for them to sign. This requirement is absolutely ridiculous. Honestly, as a business owner, I am highly disappointed with the software switch. It has been very inconvenient, and I have to figure out everything on my own. Every time I call for support, I end up spending more time on the phone with customer service than I did with my previous software. It's disheartening that 90% of the time, they don't even know what the issue is and send me step-by-step instructions based on their best guess. At this point, I fail to see the purpose of customer service.

I have to say, customer support is lacking. Even with the best scheduling app, if it takes up to 10 hours a week to get answers, being put on hold, making repeat calls, and dealing with confusion among the company, it becomes impractical to do business.
Cons
Their customer support is practically non-existent, and I found myself spending more time on the phone than actually getting work done. We were their customers for over 10 years, but we eventually gave up. When we tried to switch providers, they made it too much difficult to obtain our data, which is essentially our entire database. They misled us by claiming our database was immediately wiped out, but it wasn't. The losses we incurred with this company were substantial.
