A Bit of a Roller Coaster

It is not like Square in terms of being an app, and the handheld devices do not rely on Wi-Fi. Also it is also fairly user-friendly. The implementation and installation teams have been great.

Cons

Once our new system was approved, our rep seemed to disappear. I am still waiting for the rest of my equipment and for my organization to be properly set up, but there have not been any follow-ups.

I have to say, the customer service is very very poor and I am not satisfied at all.

Cons

They continued to charge me customer fees even after months of speaking to someone about changing it. After the last incident, they locked all my funds and prevented my transactions from going through. It is been a terrible service experience.

Gift Card System needs a lot of work
Pros

I do not have anything good to mention as I have only used it as a customer at an establishment that uses SpotOn.

Cons

There is no online option for customers to check their gift card balance. When I reached out to customer support, it took multiple back-and-forth emails for them to provide me with the balance on my two gift cards. Unfortunately, both balances they sent me were incorrect. Every other gift card in my wallet allows me to check the balance online except for this one.

The POS system was fairly easy to learn. It only took me about 2 days to get the hang of it. It is also quick and efficient when closing up at night which reduces the amount of paperwork we have to handle. My employees love it.

The letters on the receipt should be bigger and bolder. Additionally, the names of our delivery services like Doordash, Uber, Postmate, and Grubhub need to be larger and darker on the ticket.

Unfortunately, we never had the chance to use it. We signed up with a friendly sales representative, but when the package arrived for setup, we discovered that he had been fired. We struggled to find someone to come and set up the machine.

I am very much impressed with the variety of tools available to improve my marketing campaigns. I start by sending emails and then we implement a rewarding program that offers discounts to customers. Additionally, we have tools that enable online reservations and a waiting list, which is really helpful on busy days. SpotOn provides numerous benefits, including integration with Doordash, Uber Eats and other platforms for online orders, e-gift cards and much more.

Cons

I would love to incorporate text message notifications for customers. Another business offers an AI system to filter phone calls and connect with genuine customers. If we implement this, we will be the first to do so.

Customer support team is absolutely outstanding! We have been fortunate to work with him for the past 6 months. He is a truly multi-talented individual. He has been instrumental in troubleshooting and resolving printer issues (hardware) and addressing programming issues (software) related to our integration with R365 accounting. He is always easy to work with and quick to respond. He is willing to dive deep into our issues and find effective solutions. We thoroughly enjoy working with him.

Cons

Early on, we noticed that the company was growing too fast and encountering difficulties. There were numerous instances of communication breakdowns and the release of faulty features. The reporting sites would often go down during busy shifts, which eroded our teams trust. We really want to implement handheld devices for our servers, but the product is completely different from the workstation. It is like teaching someone to use two different systems. Please make them consistent and do it soon!
