Working with HostBooks has been really convenient because the platform is user friendly and automates a lot of the process. It makes accounting and GST compliance much simpler gives access to real-time financial reports and cuts down a lot of manual work. Cons

Getting comfortable with some of the advanced features can take a while especially for new users. The report customization options and overall flexibility still have room for improvement and a few workflows could feel more intuitive.

Automation in reconciliation and tax filing further reduces manual effort and errors. The support team has been helpful the reports are clear even for non-finance users and the system itself feels stable well-organized and simple to figure out. With smooth updates dependable support and a strong mix of usability and automation the overall experience has been very positive and stress free.

Cons

The initial set up could be better for new users especially with more guided tutorials or in app walkthroughs to help them understand the full feature set faster. A few of the advanced modules can seem a little complex in the beginning and may take some time to configure properly. It would also be better to have more flexibility in report customization along with quicker support responses during busy peak hours.

Pros

From handling GST and income tax to covering payroll as well this software feels like a complete accounting package. The payroll feature is especially valuable and not something you always get in the same system. Its overall efficiency is really impressive and I can recommend it with confidence

Cons

One limitation is that it doesn't support mobile use so you can't access it anytime or from anywhere unless you have your own PC or laptop with you. At the beginning it also seems a bit complex to work with. Also the pricing is on the higher side which may make it less appealing for small businesses looking for an accounting solution.
