Built for self employed

Pros

I had no trouble getting things going and the customer service was excellent. During my free trial, I even got an hour-long call with the founder who helped me form my LLC and set everything up. As a woman starting a business, it meant a lot that they didn't make it awkward or dismissive. A lot of platforms haven't been as helpful when I had basic questions, so I'm seriously glad I found this one.

Cons

I know every software has its issues but Namu actually updates pretty often. What's cool is that I can report bugs or give suggestions straight through Hotjar which makes me feel like they really listen.

Perfect for freelancers

Pros

The billing system works great. I linked it with my Stripe account without any trouble and started getting paid right away. My clients can pay with a card or ACH and I also connected my bank and credit card accounts. It brings in all the transactions so I can match payments with invoices and sort out expenses for tax deductions. Everything flows right into their tax tool which helps estimate my quarterly payments way better than anything I've tried before. There's also a basic retirement planning feature that pulls from the same data and keeps everything tied together.

Cons

I think the interface can be a little tricky, especially in the tax tools. But they've been updating it and it's already feeling easier to use. Hoping they add PayPal soon for clients abroad, it's something they mentioned was coming.
