“affordable billing powerhouse”
Pros
Right away, two things stood out for our bootstrapped SaaS. First, the starter cloud plan is surprisingly affordable for what it offers and it delivers a lot more capability than I expected at that price point. Even more importantly, it makes usage-based billing feel much less overwhelming. We bill based on API calls and tokens and UniBee gives us the flexibility to configure those complicated tiered pricing rules without needing to be experts in billing logic. Considering the cost, it's honestly been a lifesaver for us.
Cons
One improvement I'd really love to see in the future is a native customer portal. The subscription billing itself is solid and easy to understand but giving customers a secure login where they can check their subscription information, payment history and most importantly for our use case, real-time usage metrics against their billing tiers, would be a game-changing addition.
