easy to use

Pros

Having the ability to set up different channels and chats is a big plus. Another thing I really enjoy is being able to add a wide range of apps to Teams which makes it more useful for different kinds of work.

Cons

The one improvement I'd want is the option to upload documents from my computer into a chat that includes external users.

works perfectly with microsoft tools

Pros

One of the biggest advantages of Teams is that it already comes with the Microsoft products I use every day and the built-in integrations make everything work together really well.

Cons

I honestly haven't come across any downsides with Microsoft Teams. I only have positive things to say about it, it's a really solid product with excellent features.

I liked it

Pros

The wide range of options in Microsoft Teams really makes it encouraging to use. With all of its different features, this software has been very satisfying for me.

Cons

At times some features can feel a bit slow but like any other software, it gets regular updates which gives me confidence that the experience will keep improving over time.

Dependable

Pros

Getting this set up on both the app and my computer was quick and simple. I'm very happy with how well it performs and how reliable it has been overall.

Cons

I'm still waiting to see future updates around AI integration especially for working with different types of information through the app on smaller devices.

productive fit

Pros

Teams has been very simple to use and it adapts well to the way our team works. The integration with the Microsoft 365 ecosystem is also a big plus and makes collaboration feel much more connected.

Cons

There have been times when I connected Bluetooth headsets to my laptop and still had to wait a few minutes before they were ready to use during Teams calls.

fantastic all-in-one communication hub

Pros

Between meeting with clients, messaging colleagues, recording meetings and using the AI features, it covers everything I need in one place. It's very simple to use and at this point I honestly wouldn't want to be without it.

Cons

Newer layout isn't really my favorite since I preferred the previous one. That said, it hasn't made the software any more difficult to use, it's just a personal preference.

decent collaboration

Pros

Works reasonably well for document collaboration, workplace messaging and video calls. It also offers several document permission levels which is useful when different people need different kinds of access.

Cons

Using it can feel unnecessarily complicated and the video meeting features are fairly basic compared with the stronger quality you get from Google Meet or Zoom. Also, if you forget your Microsoft password, recovering or resetting it is incredibly difficult.

so good

Pros

This is a really solid tool for keeping a team connected in different ways, whether it's for simple meetings, polls, task tracking or schedule management. It covers a lot in one place which makes collaboration much more practical.

Cons

Something that feels a bit overwhelming is the number of links to other Microsoft tools. Having all those integrations is useful but the way they're arranged here isn't very organized. When all you need is something simple, it can start to feel like too much.

communication made easy

Pros

Getting in touch with co-workers and outside associates is really convenient and it has made communication a lot more manageable overall.

Cons

One thing I'd still like to see is an option to mark messages as unread. When I'm out of the office, I sometimes open something that doesn't need an immediate response and by the time I'm back, it's easy to forget about it. Being able to mark it unread would make those follow-ups much easier to remember.

limited controls

Pros

Having Zoom connected to my calendar makes joining meetings much more convenient. It also worked well for setting up meetings with staff and parents without any trouble.

Cons

From a teacher's perspective, it doesn't fit K-6 students very well especially because there aren't permission settings I can turn off to stop students from creating their own teams and chat rooms.

great for hybrid workers

Pros

Teams has helped our group stay connected and handle hybrid schedules much better. Everything comes together in one place, from meetings to file collaboration to everyday communication which makes it really convenient.

Cons

What's annoying is that alerts from other chats pop up while I'm presenting unless I manually change the settings every single time.

team communication done right

Pros

What I appreciate most about Microsoft Teams is how it lets me stay connected and communicate with everyone on my work team in one place.

Cons

Honestly there really isn't anything I dislike about using Microsoft Teams. It's been a solid platform for me.

Impressive

Pros

Best parts of Microsoft Teams is its consistently stable video quality, along with how well it connects with Microsoft 365.

Cons

When teams get larger, the channel setup can start to feel overwhelming and getting started also takes a bit of adjustment if you're used to working mainly through email.

works well

Pros

Handling the basic meeting tasks feels very simple, whether it's a quick one-on-one call or a larger group session. It gives you enough flexibility to set up meetings in a way that matches what you need.

Cons

Some of the meeting settings are tucked away more than they should be especially for people who don't already know where to look. I often end up helping others figure out how to add presenters, co-organizers and access the more advanced meeting options.

Not recommended

Pros

It's frustrating to leave such a low rating but honestly there's very little I can praise Microsoft for when it comes to Teams. I'm only adding more here because the minimum character requirement says I have to.

Cons

Nearly everything I tried was broken. On a high-end, fully updated laptop, video meetings were awful, people would move for a second, freeze for a second, then repeat that pattern for the entire call. Video sharing also feels far too restricted on bandwidth and there's no real way to override it. The raised-hand behavior is another mess, if someone raises their hand and then gets moved into a room, the hand can stay up without them realizing it. Someone else has to point it out. Then when they click "raise hand" it goes down for everyone else but still shows as raised for them personally. They click again thinking they're fixing it and it ends up appearing raised again to the rest of the participants. Teams comes across like a very early alpha or proof of concept that's been relabeled and shipped as a finished product. Also, there are barely any settings available to adjust things to individual preferences. The people building Teams really should look at Zoom and do better.

i rely on it

Pros

Using Microsoft Teams feels simple and it makes communication really convenient especially with the chat and video features.

Cons

Every now and then, small issues come up, like the video dropping or screen sharing not working properly. The good thing is that it's usually a quick fix and can be resolved by restarting the session.

all-in-one complete app

Pros

Having everything gathered in one app is the part I appreciate most. I can message coworkers, switch straight into video meetings, share files and even work together on documents without needing to open anything else. That convenience makes a big difference.

Cons

At times, the app feels a bit heavy or somewhat slow especially during startup. Reminders and group notifications can also become overwhelming. I think it would be better if it adapted more to the way people work.

becoming the office standard

Pros

Being a Microsoft product, it's rapidly turning into a standard tool for communication both inside the office and with people outside the company as well.

Cons

Phone system side of Teams hasn't impressed us. It still needs a lot more development before it can truly serve as a replacement for a business phone system.

flexible tool

Pros

Having both team channels and direct chat in one place has been really useful. It also matters a lot that the platform supports different app integrations and capabilities since that makes it more practical for day-to-day work.

Cons

There's just too much going on across individual chats and channels and I don't always catch every notification.

handy for classes and meetings

Pros

Microsoft Teams has become my go-to way to chat with colleagues. I also use it regularly for online classes and for meetings with business partners and it works really well for all of those needs.

Cons

The appearance customization is still pretty limited and the GIFs and emojis don't feel very current. There are also times when Teams suddenly disappears from my desktop even though I already saved it as a shortcut.
