user-friendly

Pros

Getting a meeting going with colleagues, friends or family takes hardly any time at all which is something I really appreciate. The overall look and layout of Teams also feels well put together. It's very user-friendly so a wide range of people can use it without much trouble and that kind of accessibility really matters today.

Cons

Every now and then the connection gets a little unstable but aside from that I personally haven't come across any real downsides.

tools and interface is nice

Pros

App and its tools are simple to use and the interface feels flexible, clean and well integrated.

Cons

The part I liked least about Skipe is that it doesn't offer enough automation in its functions for project presentations.

all-in-one product!

Pros

Having all my communication in one place is probably the biggest advantage of Microsoft Teams. I can handle meetings, calls, chats and everything else from the same platform which makes day-to-day work much more organized. It also connects really well with other Microsoft tools as well as third-party apps. Also, the AI features through Copilot help automate a lot of tasks and processes which saves time and reduces manual work.

Cons

One thing I still miss when using Microsoft Teams is the option to open multiple instances especially when I need to work across different tenants or clients. I would also like to see better performance on mobile devices.

great tool

Pros

Working with Microsoft Teams has been a solid experience because it fits neatly into the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. It brings chat, video meetings and file sharing together in one central place which helps keep communication organized and improves team productivity. The platform also includes strong security and compliance capabilities making it a reliable option for industries that need strict data protection.

Cons

Getting started can be a bit overwhelming since the interface often feels cluttered especially for new users so there is definitely a learning curve. It can also be demanding on system resources which may cause performance problems on devices with weaker hardware. If an organization is not heavily invested in the Microsoft ecosystem, Teams may not offer as much value as some standalone alternatives.

I liked it

Pros

Using it feels very simple and it works well for scheduling meetings. The chat features are interactive and make collaboration more engaging.

Cons

The Task Manager inside the Teams tab feels somewhat restricted especially since each task is capped at 20 checklist items. I also run into audio problems fairly often when using AirPods during calls.

saves trips and time

Pros

Skype has been my go-to for staying in touch with friends overseas and handling interviews or calls without needing to drive or fly to the office. It's been a big help in saving both time and money.

Cons

It can be fairly demanding on RAM and can also use up a lot of data.

worldwide calling that delivers

Pros

Being able to call pretty much any number worldwide, whether it's a mobile or a landline, is a really useful feature.

Cons

Something to keep in mind is the connection fee, it's charged on every call, even if the call only lasts a second.

well-designed chat search

Pros

Microsoft Teams stands out to me because of its well-designed layout. It's simple to find recent chats and the search bar does a good job of pulling up key terms so I can jump straight to a specific message. For example, if I search for a word like "terms," it looks through chats and messages that contain it which is really helpful.

Cons

I really wish it had an option to clear the entire call log history in one go. Having to remove each call one by one is pretty frustrating.

dependable !!

Pros

It covers most of the everyday communication needs I have at work. I mainly rely on it for chatting instantly with co-workers and for quick alignment calls.

convenient chats and mentions

Pros

Everything feels very convenient to use. Being able to mention people in chats is really helpful and having multiple chats going at once makes communication much more organized. The video chat option is also a feature I really enjoy.

Cons

The picture quality could definitely be better especially when more than 10 people are in the call.

very user friendly

Pros

Skype has been one of the most dependable options for video conferencing and international video calls. It also lets you share your screen and send messages while the call is happening which makes it very practical.

Cons

When compared with some other video calling apps, Skype tends to use more data and needs a stronger internet connection to work well.

keeps teams aligned

Pros

One thing I love most about Microsoft Teams is how well it supports collaboration. Features like real-time document editing and built-in communication tools help keep teamwork efficient, connected and organized.

Cons

At this point, there really isn't anything I dislike about Microsoft Teams. As you spend more time with it, it becomes more adaptive to navigate and easier to use to its full potential.

updates disrupt meeting access

Pros

When everything is running properly, it's fantastic. Getting meetings set up and joining them is pretty simple, unless there's a glitch or someone involved isn't very comfortable with technology.

Cons

There are times when everything is ready to go and then an update kicks in and you have to rush to sign back in and get set up again. Locating meetings also isn't as adaptive as it should be unless you remember to check the calendar because once you accept a meeting invite, the message disappears.

big upgrade from skype

Pros

Switching over from Skype felt like a major step up. It's much more user-friendly, with clickable links, visible chat history and reactions that are actually convenient to follow. Having meeting history, calendar access and contacts all together in one app has been really useful.

Cons

Every now and then, joining a meeting through the app doesn't work properly so I end up having to use the browser instead.

Easy to use

Pros

Teams has been the most useful tool for working closely with teammates, whether it's through chat or audio and video calls. One feature I really appreciate is screen sharing especially the option to share just a specific window instead of showing the whole screen.

Cons

One limitation is the recording feature only works when the call has been scheduled through the calendar. If the call is started directly, there's no option to record it.

powerful teams and 365 integration

Pros

This is an amazing app. It comes with a huge range of features and while it does take some time to dig into everything and tailor the workflows, it's incredibly powerful and ties in really well with the rest of Microsoft 365.

Cons

Teams is important for organizations to manage who can create individual teams so things don't get out of hand. A good example would be limiting it to one team per department to avoid unnecessary sprawl.
