“its great”
Pros
I've used this app for many years, mostly on the computer version but the mobile app has been very useful too. It's a dependable service and the tools are simple to understand and use. The status features are especially nice and I particularly appreciate the invisible option since it gives us a bit more privacy when needed.
Cons
Since this is a service that is frequently used for free, connection issues can happen quite often.

“powerful collaboration for research teams”
Pros
Microsoft Teams is widely used for team communication and collaboration and it comes with a solid set of features including instant messaging, audio and video calls, file sharing, scheduling events and more. Another big advantage is how well it connects with other Microsoft tools like Office 365, SharePoint and OneDrive which makes working together on documents and projects much more practical. In our case, we regularly rely on it for video conferencing during different research projects with our partners.
Cons
One area that could be improved is the affordability and adoption of Microsoft Teams for African universities that have limited financial resources. A helpful step would be to introduce special pricing or discounts that better match the economic realities of these institutions. This could mean offering a tiered pricing model based on the university's size and budget or creating dedicated packages for educational institutions in developing countries. Microsoft could also consider working with governments or non-profit organizations to offer subsidies or grants that help cover implementation costs. That kind of support would make Teams more accessible to African universities and strengthen collaboration and communication between students and faculty.

“Practical global connections”
Pros
Being able to connect with people anywhere in the world in such a practical way is a huge plus. The question-and-answer features also make a real difference whenever I'm speaking with my clients.
Cons
The image quality could be better. At times, clients have pointed it out when I'm presenting the work I was hired to do.

“remote collaboration made easy”
Pros
Working remotely has been much more effective with Microsoft Teams and the support for third-party integrations makes it even more useful. I can share files, stay in touch with teammates, set up status calls and handle knowledge transfer sessions with reliable screen sharing and video recording. It also works well on both Android and iOS devices and the data security is another strong plus.
Cons
Some of the more advanced Teams features are only included in paid plans and those plans feel a bit expensive. On top of that, keeping up with notifications across a lot of teams and channels can get difficult and the platform really depends on a stable internet connection or it starts to lag.

Communication is quick, the quality is solid and the platform is user-friendly overall.

“everyone loves it”
Pros
Its really good! the communication between our employees is fast and efficient with it. The implementation cost was low and it runs without slowing down our system. The pop-up alerts are especially useful because most of our users are juggling 10-15 open windows across 2-3 monitors at once.
Cons
I really don't have any complaints. The only thing worth noting is that Microsoft seems to be pushing Teams but we'd still rather stick with Skype.

“meeting accesscould improve”
Pros
Honestly, I didn't get much value out of it. The product felt very average overall and the only reason I used it was because my university required it.
Cons
Getting into meetings almost never worked properly and because of that I was regularly marked more than 10 minutes late even when I had arrived early. Notifications hardly ever worked and the meeting link often wouldn't show up at all. A lot of the time I had to log out and back in just to make it appear which was extremely slow and usually meant confirming my email and phone again.

“Its great”
Pros
One big advantage is that communication can also happen with external people which is really useful. On top of that, all the functions are very adaptive to use. The tool can also be used as a document management system for both internal and external users and that brings a lot of added value.
Cons
The integration with Microsoft Office is available but it does not always work particularly well. At times, files have to be downloaded first and then edited locally instead.

“fantastic app efficiency”
Pros
Everything about the app runs really efficiently and the overall performance has been excellent. One feature I especially love is the "grant screen access" option which has been incredibly useful.
Cons
A bug I've noticed between the PC and Android app happens when Bluetooth headphones are connected after a call has already started. The headphones don't switch over automatically so the only fix is to end the call and reconnect with the person again.

“updates are good”
Pros
Right away, the user-friendly design and ongoing improvements in Microsoft Teams really stand out to me. Compared with other software solutions, it never feels like I'm still using the exact same features and interface as I was a year ago. That's probably thanks in part to AI-driven enhancements as well. Microsoft Teams is doing everything right here by delivering regular updates and over more than a year of using it, I honestly haven't experienced a single outage.
Cons
Honestly, I can't point to anything negative about Microsoft Teams. I use it every day and I'm very satisfied with it.

“solid collaboration across microsoft 365”
Pros
Whether I'm on the Teams app or using the web version, I can instantly chat with colleagues or customers and jump on calls without any hassle. It also makes sharing documents and collaborating on them really convenient, plus it comes with many other useful features. Since it's included as part of the Microsoft 365 bundle, it fits nicely into the rest of our workflow.
Cons
One downside is that video calls can use quite a bit of bandwidth at times.

Pros
Across the organization, this has been a really useful tool for handling day-to-day meetings and planning presentations. The chat feature works really well too since it lets you share files, message people and reach others instantly.
Cons
The screen sharing during meetings can be unreliable from time to time. It's usually nothing major and can be fixed on the spot but it still interrupts the meeting and creates a gap in communication. The mobile interface also could be better.
