Simple & user-friendly pipeline management

Pros

Managing our sales pipeline is simple and user friendly, so the whole team picked it up quickly. Plus our campaign performance has gotten much better thanks to the automated and segmented emails. We also love that the platform keeps getting new features without raising the price.

Cons

The layout takes a bit of time to learn initially. I would also really like to see more built-in connections with other apps we use.

A clear pipeline with fantastic support

Pros

The pipeline view is so clear and simple and the automation makes sure we never miss a follow-up. Plus, their support team is fantastic and always ready to help.

Cons

I think having a native LinkedIn integration for finding new leads would make the platform even more powerful.

Very easy to use email marketing tools

Pros

EngageBay's email marketing and automation tools are very easy to use. Starting with the free plan gave us a great chance to try everything out before we paid for a subscription.

Cons

We'd like to have more template options that are designed specifically for fundraising and collecting donations.

The absolute worst data security

Pros

The software itself is good but be warned as they will permanently delete all your data. and once it's gone, there is absolutely no way to get it back.

Cons

The data security is the absolute worst. They don not create backups of anything. And after a server upgrade, I lost almost all my CRM data and only names and contact details remained, but every historical event, email and note was gone. Support first claimed they purged old data due to database size, then changed their story to a server migration. The result is the same and that is you can permanently lose everything without warning. The only good thing is that the platform is a feature-rich email tool but that's it. Support is unhelpful and disconnected from the backend team, who never respond. Promises from support are rarely fulfilled and system updates are rare like in years of use, I have only seen new paid services added. So avoid this platform if your data is important. Also there is no effective way to export your data if you want to leave.

Clean layout with great tech support

Pros

This tool's layout is clean and easy to navigate. We have also had a great experience with the tech support team as they are quick to respond and very knowledgeable.

Cons

To me the email warm-up phase feels unnecessarily long and the criteria for advancing to the next tier are vague and unclear.

Packed with functionality but quite glitchy

Pros

It is packed with functionality. Also this platform pretty much includes every feature we could need for both CRM and marketing automation.

Cons

The platform is quite glitchy. While support has improved, we have often been told issues were on our end when they were not. We also tried to use it for marketing automation but the delivery, open and click-through statistics are unreliable. Our A/B tests with SendGrid confirmed that EngageBay's metrics are inconsistent and inaccurate.

Impressive capabilities with incredibly fast support

Pros

I am really impressed with the platforms capabilities and the incredibly fast response from the support team and I know I can always count on them for a quick and helpful answer.

Cons

My biggest frustration is not being able to quickly open items like email templates or forms in new tabs. It is also annoying when we need to make a small change across multiple templates and have to open them one by one instead of in separate tabs for efficiency.

Top tools at a much more affordable price

Pros

You get nearly all the same tools as the top CRM and email marketing platforms but for a much more affordable price.

Cons

There are a couple of rare, niche features missing but that is a very small drawback compared to all the benefits the platform offers.

company dedicated to improving and helping

Pros

The company is clearly dedicated to improving its platform and helping its users. Even though I had some trouble with the initial setup, their team was very receptive to my feedback. I also really value the constant updates and the price is very competitive for everything you get.

Cons

Well the initial setup was confusing and I ran into problems that made it hard to get started. Thankfully the support team eventually helped me work through the issues. Also I feel like a clearer refund policy and more transparency from support would make the experience much better.

Perfect model of excellent customer service

Pros

EngageBay support team is a perfect model of excellent customer service. We have tried many tools and know the hardest part is learning the system but with help this good, you get up to speed and integrated into their CRM much faster than with any other platform I have tested.

Cons

I have not found any downsides yet. I tried nearly every CRM available so I know the hardest part is usually the learning curve but their support team is absolutely the best and makes everything is easy.

The best platform!!

Pros

My small business has relied on this platform for five years and it's been the best. The live chat support is a real highlight as they are always very quick to respond and very helpful. The cost is also very competitive which is pretty important for a company like mine. So I could not recommend it more.

Cons

There is nothing I dislike. It has perfectly fulfilled all the needs of my small business.

expert support team

Pros

Their support team is the best feature. I was new to the platform, especially the automation tools but the support was fast, expert and extremely patient. With their help, I successfully built workflows that are a perfect match for our process.

Cons

New users might find there is a significant learning curve particularly if they are switching from another system. Also a few features are not as simple as they could be and required some time to master.

Cons

My favorite platform!

Pros

My favorite thing is how many features are included, even on the basic plan. It combines marketing, sales, contact management and automation all in one spot. The clean, user friendly interface is a big help for beginners. The help desk team is also absolutely wonderful as they are always fast, friendly and incredibly supportive which makes a huge difference when you are still learning.

Cons

No major complaints from me. Yes a few of the more advanced tools take some time to learn but that's normal for a platform with this much capability.

Reliable choice with great features
