Customer service stands out

Pros

I'm really impressed with the customer service, they do a great job. I found they offer all the automations and workflows a small business could realistically need. For me it works well as a complete platform for sales, marketing and support and given the price it feels like a solid choice. Once you get used to the interface it isn't overly complicated. After I spoke with support about a forms enhancement I wanted, they actually built and rolled out that feature within two days which I thought was both useful and easy to implement.

Cons

My only real frustration with it has been the lack of ETAs or timelines for features that are listed on the roadmap or currently being developed. Aside from that uncertainty, my overall experience has been positive and everything else has worked well for me.

Wonderful live chat support feature

Pros

The platform itself works really well but for me the standout feature is the live chat support. Whenever I run into a problem, the live chat agents are ready to assist right away and usually respond within seconds which I find incredibly helpful.

Cons

I do find the system a little confusing at times but I realize that's simply part of learning any CRM without previous experience. Honestly I expect I'd face many of the same challenges, if not more, with most other CRM platforms as well.

Impressive features

Pros

I've found that features like segments and automation genuinely add value for me because they centralize all my marketing tech needs in one place, the drag-and-drop email builder also works well and is simple to use.

Cons

However the algorithm or server they use to send emails doesn't perform as effectively or supportively for the particular markets I'm aiming to reach with my campaigns and it's been a struggle to get consistent delivery, a built-in rule helper or a clear troubleshooting guide showing how to address this would be really helpful.

marketing and sales at one spot

Pros

I really like that everything I need for both marketing and sales is bundled into a single platform, every module I use performs reliably and the different parts of the software work equally well together.

Cons

Occasionally the app has glitches and although support replies quickly, I've noticed their team sometimes lacks the technical depth to fully resolve certain bugs.

Smooth and essential for marketing

Pros

The user interface feels very smooth and responsive and I found it simple to connect with other tools so it really belongs in any marketing tech stack I use!

Cons

I did notice the trial version restricts how much data I'm allowed to upload which limits full evaluation of its capabilities.

Scalable product

Pros

It includes the full set of features and capabilities we need to grow our business. Its workflows feel simple and user-friendly and the support crew replies very quickly. After trying several rivals, we discovered it is far more user-friendly than the others we tried so we ended up moving our operations over to EngageBay.

Cons

If I had to mention one downside to it, it's that the collection of video tutorials for new users is rather limited, there simply aren't many walkthroughs to help first-time users get up to speed on the platform.

Easy to use and super responsive

Pros

Using EngageBay, I'm really impressed by how user-friendly it is and how support responds almost instantly whenever I run into a problem which hardly ever happens.

Cons

I wish there were tighter integration with social networks and better tracking of contact activity across social interactions.

Outperforms large vendors

Pros

I'm genuinely blown away by how much functionality this platform packs in for the price. For a fraction of the cost you'd pay elsewhere, I find it delivers features and capabilities that outshine many of the larger vendors. For our team that matters a lot since the interface is simple and makes it easy for me to teach clients how to use it.

Cons

The support team is always helpful and responsive but I wish the user guides were stronger. A fair number of my questions were pretty basic and could have been addressed with clearer, more comprehensive manuals which would have saved both my time and theirs.

Affordable, flexible and easy to use

Pros

For our team, it has proven to be a fantastic alternative to other offerings in this space. We found SalesForce and HubSpot to be prohibitively expensive and overly complicated for our needs. By comparison, it gives us affordability, flexibility and an user-friendly interface that's simple to pick up. We rely on it mainly for marketing and sales automation workflows and we also needed a solution that included a service module out of the box. After searching for months, we discovered very few true competitors. I've also noticed they use the live chat on their site for support and usually get back to me in just a few minutes which beats digging through a knowledge base to find answers.

Cons

I wish the form builder offered more customization features because apart from that limitation it's exactly the solution we wanted.

Comes with a detailed database

Pros

I really like that it gives me a complete database and maps out the entire customer journey.

Cons

It's the daily sending cap that's annoying, it's also really time-consuming and doesn't help me track stats when I send on different days.

Self-explanatory UI

Pros

It is incredibly easy to use. The standout feature is its clean, simple GUI, it makes interacting with the software genuinely enjoyable and as a user I never had to dig through any manuals because everything is user-friendly laid out from the start and completely self-explanatory.

Cons

I honestly can't think of anything I disliked about this tool, my interactions were so smooth and pleasant that no negative moments come to mind and I have nothing to criticize or list as a bad experience with it.

Well laid out marketing tools

Pros

EngageBay lays out the most valuable business marketing tools in a clear, simple way. I wish they wouldn't include so many extra features that just end up confusing people, keeping the choices focused helps. I also prefer when campaigns are arranged in a logical, step-by-step order so setting them up is user-friendly.

Cons

I've noticed that features such as push notifications, site messages and sticky bars appear enabled in the options menus when I'm using the free plan but they don't actually work which I find misleading and a little confusing.

Helpful filters

Pros

I'm really fond of how the platform is laid out, it's simple to use and picking filters for whatever matters most to your business is dead simple. We tested another provider before migrating to EngageBay and found it clunky, their support and help options just didn't fit into my schedule as a busy owner. EngageBay's chat, on the other hand, is excellent. I can get help right away every time, I've never left a chat without my questions being fully answered and the reps consistently demonstrate solid knowledge and professionalism.

Cons

There's one thing I'd change, more list capacity without forcing an upgrade. Those lists are key to keeping my operations organized and I rely on them a lot. It would be great if they increased the number of lists included with each paid tier.

Visually attractive

Pros

very user-friendly and since they updated the design it looks even better! Beyond that, I appreciate that there's always someone in the chat ready to help me and answer any questions I have quickly.

Cons

At first I wasn't thrilled because we were limited to sending only 100 emails which was frustrating, however, the team walked me through the right steps, helped resolve the issue efficiently and provided clear instructions so we could raise our sending limit.

Fair pricing

Pros

It delivers much of what ActiveCampaign does but at a tiny cost. The user interface is clean and simple so switching over wasn't a big deal. And whenever we've run into problems, the tech support team has been super responsive. In many cases they fix things right in the chat, when they can't, they usually come back with a working fix within one or two business days, even if it means writing some code to do it.

Cons

The system still feels a bit immature although it's clearly maturing quickly. For example, the templates that were supposed to be responsive and mobile-friendly didn't behave that way at first. After I reported the problem to the team, they corrected it and the updated responsive templates rolled out across the platform. In general the templates feel a little clunky and not as polished or user-friendly as something like Mailchimp but the overall platform capabilities are much stronger. Navigation can also be awkward, I personally have trouble finding the email autoresponders because they're tucked inside a specific workflow and can't be edited from elsewhere.

Huge time-saver for booking

Pros

Appreciate that clients and potential customers can book appointments on their own without needing to contact me directly. It truly saves me a lot of time!

Cons

After finally getting comfortable with the classic site, I found it frustrating when it was updated. The new version is great but I've ended up losing time as I try to relocate things I used to find quickly.

Can always count on their team

Pros

Whenever I've needed help, the customer support accessible via the program's online link has responded and guided me so I could resolve my issues, every single time they answered my question and helped fix the problem.

Cons

I wish it pulled content directly from Facebook automatically, instead I have to rely on a third-party application to get that functionality working.

Timely support

Pros

The support has been amazing for me, it's timely, consistent and solves issues within an extremely short time frame which I find rare these days.

Cons

I'd like to see more templates for emails and landing pages and it would be great if I could change images' opacity directly when editing.

unbelievable support

Pros

I've been genuinely impressed by the customer support, it's outstanding. The templates are really simple to work with and the drag-and-drop setup plus the sidebar makes editing feel naturally user-friendly.

Cons

To be honest, I'm not thrilled that the first email I send can only go to 100 recipients. I do get the reasoning behind that limit but when you're ready to launch your first campaign, you really want to hit the ground running.
