offers great security!

Pros

The security is excellent and I like that it provides good value for both individual users and teams. Customer support is also helpful but comes at a premium. It even includes a solid set of task management tools and very effective team collaboration features.

Cons

Getting help as an individual user means we are limited to email or chat. For guided setup or live phone support, we have to pay for a Premier package that costs between $1500 and $3000. The individual plan felt very basic while the team plan was much more powerful but also significantly more expensive.

A simple and user-friendly interface

Pros

I really loved the simple, user-friendly interface. Another huge plus is how much freedom you have to customize the dashboards exactly how you want them.

Cons

The main drawback as per me is that the free version is pretty limited in what it can do.

Affordable but complex CRM

Pros

Its main strengths are its affordability and its potential. It's a very cost-effective CRM to get started with and it offers a high degree of customization for businesses on a tight budge

Cons

Unfortunately, realizing that potential requires significant effort. The customization tools are not intuitive, making the platform difficult to work with. It also lacks robust automation and native integrations, so connecting it to other tools in your stack can be a challenge.

customizable and linkable platform

Pros

It's great that we can build the exact features we need without paying a fortune to developers. I love how you can link data across the platform like connecting contacts and companies to specific projects. The Kanban view is perfect for tracking progress and creating filtered reports is very easy

Cons

It would be great if we had more options to customize fields on the Kanban board and use color-coding for better organization.

Highly customizable interface

Pros

The interface is very user friendly which makes it simple for teams to learn and use effectively. Plus being able to customize the pipelines, dashboards and reports lets us adapt the system to our unique workflow.

Cons

As per me the reporting and analytics features are not as sophisticated as what you find on other CRM systems which makes it tough to build really detailed or custom reports.

Solid & Easy to Use CRM

Pros

It is very easy to use, and I appreciate the custom views available for all users. The reporting features are excellent. Although custom modules have some limitations, they have worked very well for our business so far.

Cons

I wish there was a more seamless way to connect related requests to opportunities.

12 good years of using Insightly CRM

Pros

Insightly's design is intuitive and easy to understand. I remember starting to use it on the first day, right after an initial walkthrough, without hiring anyone for assistance. As time passed, I evolved the setup. Opportunities and Projects are crucial for us, and with good naming practices, they are easy to refer to after completion, like "2023..Smith Company-New boiler project." Linking all parties to a Project is so simple. I attach price quotes to it, ours to the client and the supplier to us. Automatic tasks triggered when changing from Opportunity to Project can alert others to place orders and integrate into our financial software.

Cons

They keep pushing their AppConnect feature, but we don't really need that level of complexity. They do have many built-in interfaces with other apps like Quickbooks, which is somewhat limited but excellent for small businesses. However, their Service apps didn't meet our needs. We install boiler systems and offer ongoing services, requiring an easy way to send invoices and collect payments for our work. Insightly seems more geared towards software service contracts with annual commitments and office-based interactions, which isn't ideal when your work involves traveling long distances for repairs.

App Connect

Pros

Their App content is amazing. It really helps with efficiencies and workflow and does much more than I initially thought! I especially love how it automatically calculates our numbers.

Cons

It's not as intuitive as they claim. We definitely rely on the App Connect specialist's support, although it comes at a steep price. We're burning through our 10 free hours quickly and still have numerous projects needing assistance.

Pros

Insightly is good, but there are better CRMs out there

Pros

I love the collaboration capabilities with API via Appconnect, AutoCAD, BricsCAD, Loveland Innovations IMGING, etc.

Cons

The limits on fields in custom objects and issues with automations not triggering correctly mean we often have to delay triggers to avoid conflicts. Sometimes, automations don't trigger at all. Addressing these gaps requires generating numerous catch reports.

Good for a small company

Pros

I like the project management, pipelines, and the ease of adding tasks and comments to various objects.

Cons

With so many objects and fields, new users take time to adapt to the interface. Its search function isn't intuitive and requires exact entries.

Decent CRM but requires discipline

Pros

Sales pipeline views are useful because I can have multiple pipeline views with filters and segmentation options applied without having to add them each time. It is easy to see pipeline value, create new fields, and move opportunities from one stage to another. Setting up automated email follow-ups from demos and integrating with various tools is also great.

Cons

The lack of robust user management and customizable access makes it easy for issues to spiral out of control, potentially compromising data integrity. Moreover, creating reports and dashboards for simple metrics is unnecessarily difficult in the Dashboards.

Super Easy

Pros

Insightly Works GREAT for our Org

Pros

I've been using Insightly for 8 years now, and it has been so easy to build our Program database. From customizable fields to reporting features, it does everything I need it to do. Insightly has helped streamline our processes, making our mission easier to manage every day. The reporting features have allowed us to provide all kinds of data to generous supporters who, in turn, donate to our mission.

Cons

The cost has significantly increased to access some of the features we currently use.
