“helps sales on its own
Pros
I've been really impressed by the way this platform handles marketing automation , it's loaded with tools that suit a wide range of businesses. Its customer acquisition features feel reliable especially the automated campaigns that consistently deliver product information to leads. What stands out for me is how these automated workflows subtly help increase sales without a lot of manual effort. I also like the event creation capabilities, they make it easy to maintain customer engagement across different locations and touchpoints.
Cons
Sometimes the templates tend to break quite easily and I end up dealing with instability that becomes a regular annoyance. It throws off my workflow and requires frequent fixes which I find frustrating when I'm trying to keep campaigns and pages consistent.

“reliable automation though weak support
Pros
Automation tools for marketing campaigns are incredible, they've cut down on both time and costs for us. Generating leads is now far more alignd thanks to this solution. The interface is very hands-on which makes building automated marketing workflows simple. Plus, it ties into our CRM without any hiccups, so lead information is saved reliably.
Cons
I've been using this platform for about a year and to be frank the only persistent issue I've faced is their customer support, everything else has been dependable and performs well.

“Simple to use but support needs work
Pros
Its very simple to run and distribute our marketing campaigns while bringing in new customers. Since I started using this platform, reaching out to potential clients has become noticeably easier. Lead generation and organizing those contacts are clear and uncomplicated and the way it links up with other apps has been reliable. Getting it integrated into our existing systems was easy and didn't cause any headaches.
Cons
The price point is higher than some alternatives, though I feel it's reasonable given the breadth of marketing features it offers. Integrations generally do the job but I can see room for improvements to make them even smoother. Also when I've reached out to customer support, the help I received fell short of expectations and could be significantly better.

“Centralized hub with limits
Pros
I really appreciate how this platform brings all our marketing efforts together in a single place, it makes organizing campaigns so simple. The dashboard simplifies management so much and I am a fan of being able to craft and send personalized messages to customers. Its automation tools also cut down on repetitive tasks and save a ton of time.
Cons
While it works for many things, the customization options are too restrictive for my specific needs and limit how I can tailor campaigns. Also, the user interface could use a refresh to be more engaging and easier to use so I don't fight the UI while working.

“aligned messages with basic automation
Pros
one thing I value is being able to send tailored messages to my customers. Having all the tools I rely on for marketing campaigns centralized in a single place has noticeably alignd my workflow and saved me time. The user interface is simple and user-friendly, so I didn't have to deal with any issues.
Cons
The communication tools are good but I wish there were more advanced marketing automation features. Sometimes the system feels too simple when I try to run complicated, multi-step campaigns.

“Smooth yet limited system
Pros
I love how easy content management feels , everything seems to flow smoothly and naturally. With the cross-channel capabilities I can push content everywhere without switching between multiple platforms. What truly stands out is how customized the experience becomes for both our team and the people using our product. The AI tools actually live up to their promises and the entire interface has a refined, polished feel that makes daily tasks genuinely more enjoyable.
Cons
Because it's closed-source I don't have the same level of flexibility or control I would with open-source options like Drupal or WordPress.

“It struggles to make things work
Pros
I genuinely value how this platform lets me pinpoint my target audience and monitor the performance of my email campaigns with ease. Its email and landing page builders create clean, professional-looking designs that always come out well. The interface becomes fairly interactive after some hands-on use, newcomers can become competent with a little basic training, while more advanced tools remain available when I want to take things further.
Cons
Honestly, building emails and full campaigns with this platform has been a real headache for me. The spacing around different email elements often looks one way in the editor or preview but then shows up completely differently once the message lands in my inbox which is frustrating. Roughly half the time when I insert an image, a link or a personalization token it disappears after I save, so I end up redoing the work. Almost every time I try to add a simple line break I have to save the block, open it again, and save once more before the spacing actually appears in the preview. These glitches aren't new and they've been recurring for years now. If the development team managed to resolve these long-standing bugs, my day-to-day experience would improve dramatically and using the product would feel a lot smoother.

“platform that grows with you
Pros
Over the past two years I've been using this platform and I still keep uncovering new features all the time. There really are countless ways to align and improve my workflow, depending on how I choose to make use of it. My team and I used to paste HTML into emails manually but we've shifted to the platform's built-in templates and tokens which has sped up and simplified the whole email creation process noticeably.
Cons
Having so many choices can actually be a drawback sometimes. I often find myself wondering if I've set up my campaigns in the best way. Its difficult to use because of all the settings and I feel like I'm always adjusting and testing things to find out what works best.

“Marketing Automation That Actually Works
Pros
I really appreciate that this platform lets me define custom objects, activities and program member fields , it makes building richer user profiles much easier. Its email functionality is strong too, comfortably sending massive campaigns to millions of recipients at scale without faltering.
Cons
The API can be painfully slow sometimes. And only letting you upload data through ten channels at once is such a bottleneck, it really holds up my workflow. What's also annoying is how late the post-campaign data comes in. Sometimes it takes two full days to show up which totally kills my ability to check results and make quick decisions. Super frustrating when you're trying to stay on top of performance.

“Top training
Pros
Marketo University's training is absolutely first-rate , the instructors deliver thorough, practical education that actually teaches you how to unlock the platform's full potential. I find the marketing campaigns remarkably flexible, they can be automated to run on their own, which saves me an enormous amount of time. The scalability offered blows away other solutions I've used and getting detailed reporting at every campaign stage is incredibly valuable for decision-making. Email management tools stand out too, letting me design varied campaigns and push them out across social networks for a more integrated marketing presence. Integrating with SAP C4C has been a real game-changer for our company, it smooths data flow wonderfully and the sync works simplely so we can analyze prospects and existing customers before our marketing team takes over.
Cons
Overall the platform is pretty solid but I do feel there are several areas that need improvement. Our biggest frustration is the landing pages , they demand HTML knowledge that the training doesn't cover and since we hire marketers rather than coders, that requirement adds extra, unnecessary hurdles. The interface also comes across as uninteractive and somewhat dated and the limited customization choices are genuinely annoying. Considering how long this product has existed, I had expected Adobe to release more significant updates by now.

“Simple to manage but slow to load

“Hard to start but easy after that
Pros
It provides a full-featured marketing automation package that really stands out. The webinar tools, drag-and-drop form editor and ready-made landing page templates simplify building reports considerably. What impresses me most is the workflow management engine , it's the backbone that makes the entire system so attractive and ensures everything operates smoothly. I truly consider it a complete marketing automation solution with excellent workflow capabilities.
Cons
Because the platform is so feature-rich, our team found it pretty overwhelming at the start especially as we were just getting up to speed. its difficlut to use because the available tutorials didn't cover every feature we needed to understand. It took us a long time to get everyone adequately trained and to be honest the initial setup was more confusing than I expected. After we worked through that rough patch though, the pieces began to fall into place and the platform became much easier to use.

“Powerful but frustratingly sluggish
Pros
Because of the expertise my team already has, it's a big help and we can customize every setting so things align with how we're accustomed to working

“Outstanding marketing automation is my go-to
Pros
this tool has become my go-to and its marketing automation is simply outstanding. Its account-based marketing features have genuinely helped us lift the customer experience and our team really depends on the email campaign tools. I love that service personalization happens in real time, and the reporting capabilities let us run our sales process more smoothly, including organizing events. The options for personalizing content are the most impressive I've faced and the platform's multichannel interactions give us constant opportunities to fine-tune and improve what we offer.
Cons
Frankly the interface is dated and isn't very attractive , I'd really like to see a redesign that makes it livelier and more configurable. It also comes with a hefty price tag, so smaller businesses I know could find it out of reach. The trial version is almost useless which basically forces you to subscribe if you want to fully evaluate the product. As someone who's trained newer team members, I can say the navigation is awkward for beginners because much of the UI feels stuck in an older era.

“Needs tech skills to build
Pros
interface is very friendly and I find the database segmentation capabilities to be truly impressive. I really enjoy how the personalization tools mesh with lead lifecycle management , it keeps things moving easyly. The availability of system tokens alongside my own tokens has honestly changed the way I scale programs, letting me speak much more directly to customers. And the included reports deliver precisely the insights I need so I don't have to build everything from the ground up.
Cons
I find creating emails and landing pages annoying because there's no drag-and-drop editor. I have to know HTML and CSS well to craft templates, otherwise I end up paying an agency to make them for me , after that I can duplicate those templates across various campaign types.

Pros
Its remarkable data consolidation abilities are the standout feature. It saves us countless hours by synchronizing multiple channels and enables us to make informed decisions with valuable data resulting in cost savings.

“Basic Use Cases are Great. Integrations with other systems - less so
Pros
Basic email marketing and automation tasks can be easily accomplished without extensive technical assistance.
Cons
The pricing structure of Marketo Engage is based on the number of records in the database which means paying for unused records or implementing a mechanism to manage them. Integrations with other systems often encounter issues and don't meet expectations. For example the connector with Microsoft Dynamics only works if the record doesn't already exist in Marketo. Defining an audience in Dynamics for use in Marketo requires manual coding which can be very frustrating.

“our marketing engine!
Pros
the CRM integration works incredibly smoothly across most platforms, so things just feel automated and adaptable without constant tweaking. Setting everything up at the start was more interactive than I expected and I really like how the filtering and data management features complement each other. What I notice most is the strength in campaign management , there's a clear reason so many marketers favor this tool globally. When I link it with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, the sync becomes nearly perfect for enterprise-grade marketing. To me this functions as the backbone for both email marketing and social media campaign coordination. The flexibility in commercial workflows stands out and being able to automate an entire marketing funnel is probably the biggest advantage for my team. Lead handling is built right into the platform and the reporting tools are a solid bonus. All in all, I genuinely believe this is the best option available for marketing and sales teams.
Cons
the reporting module is like the platform's weakest link and definitely could use some polish. The cost is another concern , pricing is fairly high compared with similar solutions which can be challenging for smaller organizations to absorb. I also found the initial setup more complicated than anticipated even with our five-person team.
