“Smart workflows with messy data
Pros
What I appreciate is how it aggregates lead data from so many places and lets me build smart programs, segments and automated workflows that increase our productivity. It's been a huge help for our ABM work and enables us to tackle lead campaigns much more intelligently.
Cons
It pulls in too much junk. There's no easy way to stop bad leads from coming in, so cleaning the database is hard. Also, the link to Salesforce stops working when we hit its limits which messes up our work.

“Automates well but connects poorly
Pros
It's now easy to quickly segment our contacts and create targeted automated campaigns. Managing the entire database is simpler and contacting people is so easy now.
Cons
Getting everything up and running required more work than I had anticipated and I felt let down when I realized it doesn't sync with our CRM platform. Thankfully, they offered a simple workaround that allowed me to import our data into the system.

“Clean and smart tool
Pros
the interface is clean and I've noticed the clever algorithm underneath handles large amounts of data easyly. It adjusts to each user's specific needs and links up easyly with other platforms.
Cons
Honestly, I don't see any major issues right now. I've watched the platform improve over time and it consistently feels lively and progressive.

“A mixed experience so far.
Pros
The best thing about Marketo, in my opinion, is how its logic enables the automation of manual tasks, reducing the workload on all employees. We have been able to increase the number of leads by simply increasing visitor interaction on our website and using Marketo, which is integrated with our CRM, to handle the entire lead creation process. Creating automatic programs of sorts is so easy, and you can specify rules for when an email should be sent, for example. It is especially easy to create an email campaign, which is by far the most used one in the marketing industry.
Cons
Integrations with other software are still not its strong suit. Consider MS Dynamics: even after three years, the software still has some integration issues. Both of these very useful systems are not well integrated with each other, which causes us a lot of trouble, and working around the issue is still very inconvenient. The page at which our audience lands cannot be customized so that a validation system can be added.

“Marketo has been a great addition to our sales tactics and shown amazing results.
Pros
We use Salesforce to manage our sales, and Marketo has been a great complement to it overall. Marketo’s robust native integration with Salesforce enables us to sync data and both company and contact records to communicate through marketing and sync up with our account-based marketing campaigns. It also enables sales to follow up at the precise right time based on lead scoring and actions taken by prospects when consuming our content. Thanks to the amazing integration with Wistia, the content can be easily categorized in the form of email opens, email clicks, and video views. I simply adore Marketo!
Cons
There is an inherent complexity that comes when you combine the power of your sales reps and your marketing tools in your tech stack. The collaboration becomes extremely robust and requires a lot of practice to understand the best practices for running campaigns. This basically means you have to set aside a budget and invest a large chunk of your time to properly implement Marketo in your workflow, but it is absolutely worthwhile.

“Customizable with a clunky interface
Pros
What I love is how flexible the segmentation and email tools feel. Putting together dynamic content is simple and inserting tokens or snippets into campaigns cuts down the time I spend. I also lean on the community and support whenever necessary.
Cons
I find the CRM Dynamic integration awkward when duplicate leads and contacts appear. The UI feels a bit dated and could be more interactive.

“An all-in-one experience
Pros
Its an all-in-one customer experience suite that brings marketing, advertising, analytics and commerce together in a single place. I'm able to automate practically everything, from CRM lead tracking and nurturing to customer engagement workflows, account-based marketing programs and even revenue attribution which frees up a huge amount of my time. The companion mobile app makes it easy to capture lead details when I'm out and about and the flexiblereporting capabilities deliver meaningful insights into how we're performing.
Cons
I haven't faced any significant problems in the years I've relied on this for marketing and sales. On the rare occasions something does come up, their technical support resolves those glitches quickly, so I really don't have any big complaints to raise.

“works for simple campaigns
Pros
I'm really pleased with the user experience. Keeping every campaign asset inside a single folder saves a ton of time , I no longer have to hop between multiple tabs. Smart campaigns are super simple to create and I feel they're among the platform's best capabilities.
Cons
the automation tools are restrictive , I wish we had the option to run SQL queries for more sophisticated data filtering like in Marketing Cloud. Plus, the engagement programs confuse me, they're not nearly as interactive or interactive as something like Journey Builder.

“UI feels old & email reports lack detail
Pros
One thing I lovee is the platform's campaign management features and the KPI index which give me simple visibility into how things are performing. Lead generation via the Marketo integration runs reliably and coordinating communications across multiple channels now feels far more cohesive and aligned.
Cons
Honestly, the user interface is quite dated and is long overdue for a refresh, and the email-level reporting doesn't provide the level of detail I would prefer.

“Simple and Effective Experience
Pros
I am really pleased by the variety of ways I can configure campaigns and the filtering tools are incredibly thorough. There are also alot of integration options available which I find very useful.
Cons
I'm frustrated that the interface really needs a fair bit of polishing and I also feel the social features come across as fairly outdated and clunky.

“Take your marketing automation a notch higher with marketo
Pros
The robust analytics provided by Marketo are crucial for developing effective lead generation strategies. It enables data-oriented decision-making and empowers businesses to stay ahead of their competition. Marketo's comprehensive reports offer valuable insights to improve sales and marketing efforts. Additionally its seamless integration with sales and Microsoft apps provides a holistic view of marketing processes making it an indispensable tool for businesses.
Cons
The usability of Marketo is not optimal and it requires time and adequate training to learn how to use it effectively. Comparing its prices to similar tools Marketo tends to be on the higher side. While the reports it provides are great there is room for improvement by adding more features to enhance the reporting capabilities.

“OMG! Best Software for Email Automation
Pros
Marketo Engage is a comprehensive marketing tool that covers all essential aspects including email automation social media marketing B3B marketing and more. It excels in creating engaging and responsive emails making it a brilliant choice for email automation and social media marketing. I highly recommend Marketo Engage for its valuable features in these areas.
Cons
One downside of Adobe Marketo is its lack of availability for desktop Mac desktop Linux and desktop Chromebook. Additionally it doesn't offer a free trial or free version for users to try before purchasing. It would be beneficial to have at least a three-day free trial for beginners to get acquainted with the software.
