“Marketo is the Gold Standard of Marketing CRMs in the marketplace!!
Pros
The seamless integration between Marketo and Salesforce is exceptional. It allows us to synchronize data including company and contact records facilitating communication through marketing efforts and aligning with our account-based marketing campaigns. Lead scoring and prospect actions such as email opens clicks and video views can trigger timely follow-ups by sales teams. The flexibility of Marketo enables innovative strategies and contributes to revenue growth.
Cons
The platform's robustness demands an investment of time to understand and implement best practices. This commitment while requiring effort proves crucial as it serves as the most significant revenue driver in our company. The combination of empowered sales reps and the utilization of a sales enablement tool in our tech stack underscores the importance of this time investment.

“perfect tool that doesn't connect
Pros
It works flawlessly when I push my audiences into ad networks , exactly what I needed for my campaigns.
Cons
It doesn't sync smoothly with ad networks the way other products I've tried do.

“top notch interface with basic reports
Pros
this platform's interface is miles ahead of other marketing automation solutions I've tried. What really caught my attention was the breadth of features available and it easily integrates with virtually any major CRM or webinar service you might use. Because everything is unified in one place, I find handling and organizing our data far less of a headache.
Cons
In my experience, the reporting tools here leave a lot to be desired. Competing marketing automation platforms tend to provide much more flexible, in-depth analytics , exactly the kind of comprehensive reporting stakeholders are hungry for in today's data-driven environment.

“easy but breaks sometimes
Pros
For the most part it's simple to use and I appreciate that the developers keep pushing out new features and refinements on a steady schedule.
Cons
Sometimes updates end up breaking stuff and have caused me system problems.

“integrates well but reports poorly
Pros
I like how easyly this tool connects with alot of marketing technology platforms and how it manages data orchestration across those integrations. For running virtual events, the overall experience comes across as far more intentional and well-aligned than what I've faceed with other marketing automation platforms.
Cons
I'm disappointed by the social media integration and analytics , they're noticeably weaker than what other providers deliver. Most rivals already have these capabilities nailed down, so I keep hoping the team will close the gap soon, however, given how slowly they've rolled out updates up to now, I won't bet on rapid improvements.

“Helpful for leads!
Pros
Its very useful for pinpointing prospects and leads, after they sign up and convert into customers, I can set up and send them a variety of targeted email campaigns to nurture and retain them.
Cons
My main problem is that the filtering options is basic when it comes to segmenting audiences , I'd really like more granular controls so I can break down and target our specific groups much more precisely.

“One of the best marketing automation platform out there
Pros
One standout aspect of Marketo is its exceptional token usage allowing for easy changes without modifying entire campaigns. Another significant advantage is the platform's ability to automate a wide range of online and offline marketing activities such as emails webcasts and trade shows. Marketo's versatile token system and automation capabilities contribute to its effectiveness in streamlining marketing efforts.

Pros

“best for automation!
Pros
the triggers and request-campaign tools really boost my marketing and in my experience they've been excellent for automating tasks so far.
Cons
There are times when the app becomes sluggish and that significantly drags down my workflow and I've noticed campaign member totals don't always line up, showing inconsistent numbers sometimes.

“Flexible but bad reports
Pros
the flexibility for marketing automation is unmatched. The nurture-build tools are excellent and being able to control and trigger field updates with advanced logic allows our marketing team to create truly personalized buyer journeys.
Cons
Reporting is where it really lets me down. They lock reporting features behind different subscription tiers, even for basic metrics that I think should be standard. If you need multi-touch attribution reporting, don't expect it to be built-in , you'll almost certainly have to invest in a third-party solution to get any meaningful insights.

“Helpful tools with limited reports
Pros
The website's collection of useful tools is great for everyday tasks and bigger projects. I especially like the "Treasure Chest" feature , it's very helpful even though not many people notice it. I also appreciate that the platform limits how many marketing emails can be sent. This gives me control and protection that most other services don't offer.
Cons
I get really frustrated that I can only see activity from the last three months. This makes it impossible to do any useful long-term analysis. Also, I keep having problems with the system's connection (API) and reports that get filled with bad, spammy data. If these issues were fixed, the platform would be a lot more appealing to both new and current users.

“Affordable and pro quality tool
Pros
it lets me produce ads that look professionally made without spending a fortune. For the quality it delivers, the affordability is exceptional and hard to beat.
Cons
I noticed it's not very beginner-friendly, you should have some technical familiarity to get going and there's also an initial financial outlay required before the tool becomes fully usable.

“Strong new tool for marketing
Pros
the amount of detail this platform provides is very impressive and it has quickly turned into a go-to tool for managing all of our marketing activities.
Cons
I haven't had it long enough to run into any significant problems yet, since we only set it up right before the holidays and haven't put it through a full testing cycle.

“Powerful but rigid and pricey
Pros
I can send emails directly to customers and there's an automatic safeguard that stops the same person from receiving duplicate messages. That feature helps me deliver a smoother customer experience and supports me in nurturing stronger, longer-term relationships with my clients.
Cons
When I try to connect Salesforce, I find the setup process tricky and not at all simple.

“poor flow but somehow useful
Pros
the lead-tracking features are outstanding and have become indispensable to how I manage my daily workflow.
Cons
Personally, I find uploading files, tracking images and composing emails more cumbersome and awkward than on other platforms. The webinar event tools aren't as easy as I had hoped and overall the user interface doesn't feel as easy or well-flowing as many competing solutions I've tried.

“Not as good as Eloqua
Pros
everything is far more interactive and simple. I rely on this tool heavily for marketing operations , it handles data standardization, tracking, scoring and the management of lifecycle stages which makes my work much smoother.
Cons
I'm not enthusiastic about the engagement streams when it comes to email nurturing. Back when I used Eloqua, I much preferred their visual campaign builder , it felt more flexible than these engagement streams. For simple drip campaigns the streams are okay, but since we're trying to adjust flows based on real product usage metrics, they fall short. It's also a big annoyance that form submissions can't be used to update custom objects. All told, I find the engagement streams lack the advanced flexibility we need, and it's been a recurring pain point for our team.
