powerful automation for customized workflows

Pros

SuiteScript and workflows make it possible to automate complex billing processes, connect with external systems and build custom processes that fit cybersecurity operations really well.

Cons

A lot depends on customization though. Many operational needs end up requiring SuiteScript development or workflow setup which adds maintenance overhead and creates more reliance on technical resources.

highly customizable

Pros

There are plenty of SuiteApps available makinng it the appropriate solution for a wide variety of businesses. The platform feels well protected against external attacks and the level of customization is one of its strongest points.

Cons

At times, the system can be painfully slow. Field names and IDs are not always consistent across different areas like Saved Searches, forms and SuiteScript which can be frustrating. Error handling also isn't very helpful in some cases so that's definitely an area that could be improved.

Solid integrations

Pros

Having everything tied together in this is probably the biggest advantage for me. Financials, inventory orders and customer data all sit in one system so there's no need to bounce between separate platforms and that makes day to day processes feel more consistent and dependable. The flexibility is another big benefit since fields, workflows and reports can be customised to fit actual business requirements. real time data is also incredibly useful espeically when making decisions quickly or trying to troubleshoot problems. On top of that integrations with tools like Celigo make the platform even stronger. Overall, it helps save time, cuts down on manual effort and gives much better visibility across the business.

Cons

Can be a fairly complex system espeically for someone new to it. Even simple tasks can take several steps and the interface feels a bit dated compared with more modern platforms. Although the customisation options are powerful, they often require technical expertise or developer help which can slow progress. Reporting can be frustrating too since saved searches do not always produce exactly what's needed without quite a bit of adjustment. Performance is not always consistent either, particularly during larger data loads. In the end, it's a powerful platform but it definitely comes with a learning curve and occasional frustration.

strong unified platform

Pros

Working with this tool as both a developer and admin, the biggest advantage is the unified data model and how capable the SuiteCloud platform is. Instead of dealing with disconnected tools, everything sits in one place which makes handling data across accounting, CRM and inventory much more manageable. SuiteScript being JavaScript based is a huge plus because it gives plenty of flexibility to customize business logic and build automated workflows in a meaningful way. The Schema Browser along with SuiteTalk REST and SOAP APIs also makes third party integrations feel effortless. On top of that creating custom records and fields without needing complicated database administration helps the platform adapt and scale as business needs continue to change.

Cons

One of the harder parts of using this tool is the learning curve which can be pretty steep, along with occasional UI slowdowns during busy peak periods. On the admin side, SuiteScript governance limits can feel restrictive at times espeically when working with large data volumes and trying to avoid execution caps so it often takes careful optimization and some creative approaches. The twice-yearly releases do introduce valuable new features but they also mean thorough regression testing in the Sandbox is necessary to make sure custom scripts and workflows still behave properly. Added to that, the pricing for extra modules and the high cost of Sandbox environments can be a real obstacle for mid-sized companies that want to grow their usage over time.

my review

Pros

It gives us a central database across finance, CRM and inventory which cuts out data silos and a lot of manual reconciliation work. That alone helps speed up the financial close process quite a bit. Another big plus is how well it scales espeically with OneWorld handling multiple subsidiaries, currencies and global tax requirements without much friction as a company expands. Since it's cloud-native, real time visibility is available from anywhere and there's no need to deal with maintaining servers. On top of that the customization is very deep so businesses can build automated workflows with SuiteFlow that match how they actually operate instead of being boxed into a rigid one size fits all system.

Cons

Pricing can feel high and contract renewals often come with aggressive and unpredictable increases. There's also a steep learning curve and the interface feels pretty outdated so getting comfortable with it usually takes a lot of training. Installation has a reputation for turning into a money pit as well since it's often a long and complicated process that ends up requiring costly outside consultants. On the technical side, performance can lag when several scripts are running and the reporting tools feel a bit frustrating to use for non technical users. Customer support is another weak spot, with complaints that bug resolution can be slow and that leaves businesses stuck at the worst possible times.

powerful reporting

Pros

This software has live data, strong security, quick performance and solid reporting tools which makes it really stand out. It's also encouraging to see constant updates and improvements and it clearly feels like the product is pushing to stay a market leader.

Cons

The downside is the wait time and uncertainty around popular user requested updates. It's also not ideal that an external implementation partner is required.

user friendly platform

Pros

System is very user friendly and can be customized without needing to be a programmer. There's also a huge amount of help and knowledge base content available which makes things much easier. If you take advantage of the NetSuite ecosystem, there are a lot of possibilities to work with.

Cons

At times, the system can run slowly espeically in payroll mode when a lot of scripts are involved. Sandbox performance can also be noticeably slow on occasion.

Useful for most departments

Pros

The AI capabilities are a really welcome addition and having everything in one business system makes it useful across most departments.

Cons

Interface comes across as a bit dated and it doesn't feel as polished or modern as platforms like Salesforce or Atlassian.

logical layout

Pros

Everything is laid out in a logical way which makes the system easy to work with. It's also highly customizable through workflows and SuiteScript and the ad-hoc reporting available through saved searches works really well.

Cons

Accessibility is still a weak point espeically for vision impaired users. Reporting straight from NetSuite could be better and creating reports isn't simple.

scalable AI powered efficiency

Pros

Upcoming AI driven features look really impressive. It scales well without needing to add more staff which helps keep overall staffing costs lower.

Cons

Honestly, I'm happy with pretty much all of it. I also appreciate the open-source code because it allows things to evolve quickly. Since there really isn't a lease issue, I'd count that as another plus.

well designed UX

Pros

User experience is good and the information is laid out in a thorough, easy to follow way. It's pretty hard to find anything genuinely wrong with the UI and how details are presented.

Cons

Getting support escalated to the higher-level tech teams has been a pretty frustrating process and it gets even more complicated when working with tech partners.

High value ERP

Pros

It's a really powerful ERP and honestly feels like great value for the money. I've been using it for two years now and the overall design comes across as smart and well thought out.

Cons

A few of the default settings depend on the user experience so it does take some solid training and a bit of learning to get the most out of it. That kind of investment wasn't something I had originally planned for.

powerful customization capabilitie

Pros

Works great as a centralized hub, financials and day to day operational information can all be managed from the same place. I also appreciate how customizable it is: records, searches and workflows can be configured to match the way the business actually runs which makes it feel a lot more flexible than off-the-shelf tools.

Cons

That said, parts of it can feel a bit overly complex or not very user friendly especially when you're moving around between records or setting up scripts and workflows. A few workflows/processes also end up needing technical know how (or scripting) to get results that seem simple on paper.

NetSuite keeps workflows organized

Pros

I'm really happy with the software because it pulls everything into one place which makes my day to day work a lot more efficient and organised. It lets me handle financials, reporting and transactions in real time so my numbers stay accurate and I'm not chasing updates. The ability to customise reports and dashboards is a big plus too.It makes it easier to monitor performance and make better decisions based on what's actually happening. I also like that it organizes things like reconciliations and period close so those steps don't feel as drawn out.

Cons

Navigation can be a bit tough and the interface doesn't feel especially user friendly, particularly for people who are new to it. Some basic tasks seem to take longer than they should and figuring out where the right functions are can get frustrating.

convenient cloud based access

Pros

The whole system has felt simple to use and it's really efficient day to day. I can access what I need quickly and the information is consistently available and up to date. Going cloud-based has been a huge win-it's genuinely convenient.

Cons

Finding your way to the right apps, challenges and resources during development hasn't been as simple as I'd hoped. There's also been some stress in building out the system to match the business's exact needs. On top of that, the pricing feels pricey compared to what you get.

strong integrations

Pros

One standout for me is how well it connects with other systems-CRM, AP and similar tools-so the workflow doesn't feel scattered. It also offers solid flexibility through add ons when you need more detailed functionality, like bank reconciliation apps which has been really helpful as our needs evolve.

Cons

I sometimes feel like the clicks as you use the software add up. Also, the report and saved-search customization needs a more user friendly interface so users can customize things without jumping through extra steps.

Reliable finance platform

Pros

Easy to work with and feels dependable for day to day finance tasks. The platform brings a lot together in one place-accounting, reporting and transaction management-so you're not bouncing between multiple tools. Support has been genuinely helpful and the system stays stable as the business grows.

Cons

Getting started can feel a bit involved for brand-new users, particularly when configuring reports or setting up custom fields. A few workflows seem to require some hands-on training to understand fully. The interface could use a more modern look and certain customizations take time to get implemented.

efficient AI task lists

Pros

Using a unified platform is a big win and the AI driven task lists feel more integrated now which makes it easier to keep an eye on how the whole process is moving. Overall, the added structure should simplify oversight and coordination across steps.

Cons

The fixed asset reporting section isn't very helpful for me-it's also hard to navigate. On top of that, when I try the upload templates, the validation is pretty unfriendly and it takes multiple rounds of trial and error to figure out what's wrong.

Easy scaling with great support

Pros

It feels easy to use and the customer support has been excellent. It's been really helpful for scaling my business while keeping data and transactions organized.

Cons
