Simple setup

Pros

Feels easy to use and it's quick to configure. Integration with other apps is also pretty smooth and I was able to connect multiple apps without much hassle. Overall, the setup and the way it handles integrated app connections really stands out.

Cons

That said, the end-user interface is still quite limited so day to day use doesn't feel as flexible or feature-rich as I'd like.

highly configurable detail

Pros

The level of detail you can configure is fantastic and it's flexible enough to support multiple verticals. You can really customize things to match how different teams operate.

Cons

Doesn't feel very user friendly for business users and it can be confusing at first. Getting a handle on how everything works takes some initial effort.

Great ERP with solid integration

Pros

The integration works well and the ERP system as a whole feels genuinely strong. Everything is connected in a way that makes day to day operations easier to manage and it's been a really solid setup overall.

Cons

User experience could use some improvement and I'd also like to see additional functionality specifically around expenses.

scalable with real time insights

Pros

Features are easy to use and gives us a real time view of how the business is doing so we can track health and performance as things change.

Cons

There are a lot of follow-up calls to cover next steps but the messaging isn't always clear about what information they actually need from us.

Frustrating UI

Pros

I've heard it performs pretty well for huge organizations especially when they have big accounting teams and enough budget to pay consultants to configure and roll it out properly.

Cons

The whole experience feels like dial up internet from the early '90s. Its slow, inconsistent and frequently missing key information. Even importing data can drag on for hours. Overall it really comes across as a revenue focused Oracle product that hasn't been meaningfully updated and it takes far too many clicks just to complete basic tasks. For a smaller startup, both installation and day to day usage can feel like a total nightmare.

Detailed data entry for accurate reporting

Pros

Lets me do really detailed data entry which helps a lot with getting accurate financial reporting. Having that level of control makes it easier to keep everything consistent and reliable.

Cons

There are some limits when it comes to customizing reports and formulas so I can't always modify things exactly how I want.

tough rollout

Pros

The flow and overall workability feel like they're built to move smoothly and the experience can be pretty fluid once things are running.

Cons

During setup and over the first four months, our implementation and monitoring teams haven't really been getting the ideal support. It's been hard for the teams to communicate and get aligned on our issues and as a result quite a few items have stayed outstanding for 5+ months.

useful finance control

Pros

This has been a strong tool for managing finances, handling invoicing and keeping track of accounts payable. The interface is pretty friendly and it works well alongside other tools so everything feels more connected.

Cons

It can feel a bit complicated for first-time users. Getting the hang of it may require some training before you can use it confidently.

View all subsidiaries in one place

Pros

It's been really helpful to bring multiple subsidiaries into a single system. I can roll up reporting across all of them and also view vendor data for every subsidiary from one centralized location which keeps everything much more organized.

Cons

Once the implementation phase is over, the customer support doesn't quite match what our team needs. We keep getting lots of follow-ups like "how are you using the ACS service" and "how are you taking advantage of LCS," but the responsiveness disappears when we actually run into problems with those same areas-they don't seem to pick back up when issues come up.

April 2024

strong integrations

Pros

Integration with other NetSuite products has been simple and it pulls in detailed information that keeps our workflow running consistently. There are also plenty of built in tools to understand customer needs better, along with options to track company and product performance over time. This has genuinely helped a smaller business like ours stay on top of customers and results without getting lost in manual processes.

Cons

Pricing is on the expensive side which can feel heavy for a small team. When you're using it for the first time, it may be a bit overwhelming until you get the hang of the setup and features. Apart from the cost and the learning curve, everything else seems to work well enough.

strong fit for handling inventory

Pros

A strong fit for handling inventory management alongside accounting tasks.

Cons

Using it as a CRM hasn't worked well for me. The global search feels pretty limited and doesn't behave the way a real global search should. It can be frustratingly hard to locate customers or specific information and building searches takes a level of know how that's more than what I'd call beginner-friendly for the platform.
