“misleading promises”
Pros
They marketed the product to us with claims that it would fit the construction industry, improve efficiency and allow fully customizable reporting so we could build the reports we actually wanted. If even one of those statements (never mind all of them) had been accurate, that would have been great.
Cons
Honestly where to start. This software has been frustrating at every level. Their team appears to lack the basic understanding needed to grasp what the customer is asking for and even fundamental accounting concepts and standard reports become problems. It's not just that they don't seem to understand construction accounting. They also struggled with basic reporting like a check register, check remittance, Accounts Receivable aging, retainage receivable and job costing. They sold it to us as having a solid construction solution but it turns out they might only have one other construction customer (something they admitted during our last call). I've spent 20 years in public accounting and also served as a controller/CFO for construction companies and I'm familiar with most of the other software options on the market. This is, hands down, the worst. The whole process feels like we're being used as a test case like they don't really understand what we need so we're left working around gaps instead of getting a real solution. We did reach out to other users as part of due diligence but the calls were controlled. You're only allowed to talk to contacts they choose and they must be present. That setup makes it hard not to suspect they pre-screen those conversations so everything stays aligned with the pitch.

“strong security controls”
Pros
Security architecture feels really secure. Two factor authentication, data encryption and granular access controls are all built in. Using this gives our team strong control over our data and we can set customized security policies instead of being stuck with generic defaults. I also appreciate the reporting and advanced analytics features since they help us spot possible vulnerabilities quickly and act before issues escalate.
Cons
Because it's a broad, feature-rich platform, there's a learning curve. Getting fully comfortable with all the functions and configuration options can take some time.

“powerful customization”
Pros
NetSuite feels extremely advanced and capable of handling just about anything I can think of. It's also super versatile and the platform can be modified to fit whatever requirements you have. Whether you need something simple or a much more complex setup. The level of customization really makes it adaptable to different workflows and business needs.
Cons
There is a pretty steep learning curve and getting it set up and deployed at the start takes quite a while. It can also be on the expensive side though the overall value tends to show up in the long run.

“reliable regular updates”
Pros
It brings together multiple business management features in one place and the biggest plus is that you can access your data no matter where you are. It also keeps getting regular updates which is reassuring for long term use.
Cons
Customizing things can get pretty complex and having a developer around would really help. Also, customer support tends to respond with a noticeable delay when you run into issues related to using the tool.

“Works well for me”
Pros
The level of visibility and overall functionality really works for me. What stands out is that the platform doesn't feel like it's "locked" in stone. Most features can be customized even when some functions, scripts or other parts are restricted. The best part is that customization is still possible without needing Oracle engineers and if their engineers do get involved, it's still very likely everything can be modified to match our needs. I've also been able to mirror the workflow my company used previously in this program which made onboarding much smoother. Getting users who have been using their old system for 30 years into NetSuite felt surprisingly easy.
Cons
A small downside is that a few elements are fixed and require bringing in engineers to change. Even so, it hasn't been a deal breaker for me.

“simple set up”
Pros
One World lets us manage multiple subsidiaries and generate combined reporting for them which has been a huge help. It's also cloud based so access and setup feels simpler than a traditional on site system.
Cons
Because it's so deep and highly customizable, there's a lot to learn and it can feel overwhelming at first. At the same time, a few changes that seem like they should be simple end up being pricey or simply not possible depending on how the system is configured.

“high cost due to misleading information”
Pros
Seems solid and it works as expected.
Cons
The real problem is what happened around the integration. There was a misrepresentation that pushed us to connect it and that decision ended up costing us thousands of dollars and a huge amount of time.

“Many useful features”
Pros
Has a lot of features you can customize to match how your business actually operates. It also connects well with a wide range of third party apps and tools which makes day to day work feel more integrated instead of siloed. Another big plus is that the platform leaves room to scale as the company grows, rather than forcing you into a fixed setup early on. On top of that it offers solid opportunities for professional development and networking within the ecosystem.
Cons
Implementation wasn't as easy as it could've been. We ended up needing more guidance and product expertise to figure out which modules truly made sense for our business. The billing module in particular hasn't fit our needs so we'll have to switch to a different billing module which added both time and expense and pushing back some growth plans we could've started sooner. A few functions that feel like they should be standard still require extra customization, including reporting for AR, unbilled revenue and deferred revenue.

“strong business management software”
Pros
This is a really strong business management software, with lots of options and a level of customization that feels almost endless. The features and configurations you can set up make it versatile for different company needs.
Cons
That said it's quite hard to use and even harder to customize if you're not already familiar with the system.

“Best ERP system”
Pros
Best ERP system I've come across. The customer support and ticketing workflow really stand out. It feels like the quickest support I've seen across any ERP platform. The interface also makes a difference. It's simple to access and navigate across features without feeling lost. On top of that it feels extremely flexible, with a large library of reports, KPIs and metrics you can tap into for different needs.
Cons
No real complaints here.

“easy setup process”
Pros
What really works for me is how simple to use the platform feels. The UI is user friendly, integration is simple and it gives plenty of ways to modernize and improve day to day operational processes. Learning how to use this has also been pretty convenient. Everything is set up with the goal of helping team members get comfortable with the system quickly.
Cons
Compared with other newer apps, this can be frustratingly slow especially when loading reports or processing transactions. On top of that the pricing feels pretty prohibitive for what you get.

“top-notch support”
Pros
The features are easy to use and while the integration took a bit of effort, the overall setup went well. Training and the help I received from the support team were genuinely exceptional. I'd rate them 10/10.
Cons
My main issue is that it doesn't cover everything I need as a complete system for my business. Home health care needs more than what this tool currently provides and I really hope they develop something customized to home health care companies.

“powerful reporting”
Pros
There's a lot of potential here for a business and its different divisions. I really appreciate being able to save searches, generate reports in the exact format I need and then download the results right away. The feature that shows historical Purchase Order processing data is also a big help when you're trying to understand what's happened over time.
Cons
One thing I don't enjoy is how Purchase Orders sent through the platform handle email notifications. Those emails don't land in my usual mailbox. I'd rather have outgoing messages stored in my primary inbox so I can easily look back at them later.

“Helpful saved searches feature”
Pros
Saved searches have been really helpful for our team to view everything we need without constantly jumping between multiple records. That clarity has improved communication across departments too since people can quickly access the right information based on team and role instead of hunting for it.
Cons
Can be a strong fit depending on the business but there are limits if you're planning on heavy customization. When you add too many custom changes, it becomes harder to handle system updates without running into management issues.

“promises fell short”
Pros
The reporting features and the overall transaction processing flow seem decent.
Cons
Sales made commitments they couldn't back up. During the early ERP review, we walked through every business process with the NetSuite sales team, shared detailed process flowcharts and demonstrated exactly what our system needs to handle. They sounded confident NetSuite could cover everything and even more. Once it came time to implement, we ran into too many gaps. Basic native tasks like copy/pasting details into estimate forms and printing those forms with images, simply weren't possible. Avoid SuiteSuccess for implementation. Their approach feels cookie-cutter and they won't help beyond the narrow baseline scope they set up regardless of what's been promised in sales conversations. They mainly "turn it on," and anything specific your business requires gets treated as customization, meaning extra charges. We also had staff assigned to our account who seemed fairly inexperienced. Examples include missing major configuration settings (like making departments and locations required and handling fulfillments across accounting periods), renaming native GL accounts in a way that made it hard to understand why entries were auto posting to the wrong accounts and not thoroughly reviewing or supporting print form setup. They also didn't explain the GL impact of different item types, how projects work or how the configuration choices affect accounting. On top of that go live data import support wasn't provided at all. You'd likely be better off using an external consultant instead of relying on SuiteSuccess. There are also some quirky product limitations so it's worth doing your homework, including checking what people discuss on Reddit.
