easy cloud access

Pros

Two things really stand out for me: it's fully cloud based so I can sign in from multiple devices and still access my data anytime. It also integrates smoothly with third-party CRM tools which helps a lot with staying connected to other systems.

Cons

The only real downside for me is the pricing. That said, I get why it's not cheap since the platform includes a big bundle of features.

reliable payment tracking

Pros

Dependable and covers the core needs for invoice management and payment tracking. The system makes it simple to see which invoices are still open versus which ones are already paid organized by customer. Overall, it's a solid option for businesses that want a dependable, fully functional accounting platform.

Cons

No real complaints so far.

strong all in one suite with great visibility

Pros

Pulls together just about every business function in one place. You can manage accounting, inventory orders, HR, CRM and even e-commerce without needing to stitch together multiple systems. Even with all those features, the platform stays pretty simple to navigate. The interface feels user friendly and customizable dashboards make day to day work easier to track and run efficiently. One of the biggest wins is the real time visibility it provides across operations. Having up to date, accurate data means decision makers can act on what's actually happening rather than waiting on reports. It also scales well as the business grows, adapting to new and changing requirements instead of forcing you to switch tools later. Customer support has been a solid experience too as representatives are responsive and knowledgeable and they typically resolve issues quickly.

Cons

It definitely isn't perfect and there are a few trade-offs to plan for. The setup and onboarding can feel complex if your team doesn't already have experience with business management software. Depending on the organization size, getting everything configured can take a noticeable amount of time and resources. Pricing is another factor. it is on the expensive side and the final cost can change based on user count and which modules you choose. On top of that setup and training expenses can add up. Customization is available but it may not cover every niche workflow so companies with very specific needs could run into some limitations. When it comes to connecting NetSuite with other tools, the integration work can be tricky and may require significant technical effort. Finally, the platform's response time can be slower at times, particularly when generating reports or pulling real time data.

Helpful support team

Pros

Lets me store and manage all the company departments along with their transactions. Once the setup is done, navigating the system is much simpler. The support team is also there to guide users during onboarding even when they come from different roles and responsibilities. On top of that it can handle multiple businesses which is a huge plus for keeping everything in one place.

Cons

Training and technical fixes often require ongoing help from customer service especially if you need support with new settings or adjustments.

Can handle the needs of multiple companies

Pros

Able to cover the needs of small, medium and large organizations and it can be adjusted to match each company's specific requirements. It also offers a complete set of tools for handling finances, inventory, sales and customer relationships which makes it a really solid all in one choice. Overall, it's been a great addition to our business.

Cons

Cant think of any downsides.

great automation

Pros

I really like how smart this product is. It takes all parts of the process into account. Even when I tweak related sections, it automatically updates the connected pieces so everything stays consistent without extra manual work.

Cons

Setting up certain processes can feel a bit confusing. I recommend testing any changes first in the sandbox, then validating them again in production. You've got to be careful with updates like this because if something goes wrong, you may end up needing to adjust everything manually.

Huge range of features

Pros

Offers a huge range of features I can tap into across different departments and business branches. It's flexible enough to be modified to the specific challenges each team faces. The built in reports and charts are also pretty simple to understand which makes it easier to track what's going on.

Cons

Because there's so much functionality, getting up to speed takes a long time and can feel a bit overwhelming. On top of that I've noticed the system can slow down at times when it's handling everything.

complete CRM platform

Pros

Very easy to use. A standout feature is that it includes a full CRM solution rather than just basic sales tracking. What really works well is how it lets you handle every part of the customer lifecycle-so you can manage all customer related details in one place.

Cons

One downside is that not everything feels fully integrated across the platform since some modules are still incomplete.

needs CX refresh

Pros

Actually does what it's meant to do especially around expense approval. The permission setup for approving expenses feels properly aligned with the financial role and responsibilities.

Cons

Doesn't have the most user friendly UX and it could really benefit from an updated customer experience to make the flow clearer and easier to use.

simple to use

Pros

Feels easy to use for everyday accounting tasks. For instance, handling a fund transfer is pretty painless making it easier to track money movement between bank accounts. I also appreciate that forms and financial reports can be customized to match how our business operates which has helped keep things aligned with our reporting needs.

Cons

Customizing forms/reports and setting up saved searches takes a noticeable amount of time to get the hang of. Financial reporting often needs adjustments on a frequent basis to support ongoing reporting. Creating a saved search can also get complicated since the formulas vary depending on the exact results you're trying to pull.

feature updates keep coming

Pros

The product keeps getting better over time, with new features and improvements showing up consistently. It feels like the team is actively working on the platform rather than leaving it to stagnate.

Cons

Sometimes it's almost too customizable which can lead to a tricky implementation setup. I get that many companies grow from small to medium after rolling it out but the initial deployment can come off pretty bare bones compared to what the platform is capable of. Best approach seems to be making full use of the implementation stage and not rushing the setup so you can get the most out of it.

Easy reporting

Pros

User friendly even for a larger organization. The setup and daily navigation are simple to do and the reporting tools make it easy to pull accurate information.

Cons

It's worked really well for what our finance team needs so there isn't anything I genuinely dislike about it.

user friendly saved searches feature

Pros

Extremely user friendly and the saved searches are a big help. They can automatically pull data from your transaction history which makes it much faster to find what you need.

Cons

There's noticeable lag when saving transactions and that part still leaves room for improvement.

Would not recommend

Pros

There's not really much to recommend here. The interface isn't user friendly at all and handling the document uploads ends up being more complicated than it should be.

Cons

Honestly, that covers it all. It feels like a poorly made platform across the board.

UI needs work

Pros

Compared to other tools we've evaluated, NetSuite was simple to install and learn for non technical users. We use it across a range of accounting and finance workflows and the whole staff was able to get up to speed quickly. Sometimes even mastering the system after only a small amount of user acceptance testing.

Cons

Could use a UI refresh. It feels like it was designed in the late '90s or early 2000s and while the core functionality is there, the interface hasn't kept up with where UI technology is now. Beyond that, our biggest concern is the lack of strong implementation and development support. We also ran into a few unexpected feature gaps-for instance, there's no built in way to approve changes to vendor bank details even though it's a high risk area for fraud. We ended up building our own workaround but it's hard not to expect native approval controls for something that important.

My review

Pros

It's among the earliest SaaS tools that offered point and-click functionality, letting customers as well as business process consultants carry out a full ERP implementation without needing to write code.

Cons

Didn't really take a structured approach to localization accounting and instead left local partners to handle localization. Putting a lot of effort into countries that were more profitable rather than adequately supporting the broader local needs.

useful features

Pros

Saved Searches have been really useful for modifying how data is displayed across the organization. There's also plenty of extra customization that supports revenue reconciliation between this and Salesforce which makes the whole handoff and comparison process much more manageable.

Cons

The bank reconciliation workflow needs some simplifying. It would be great to have an "all" option on the bank statement side especially when there are multiple rows with the same deposit type.

Highly flexible

Pros

There are tons of strong features and functionality in this software. What I appreciate most is how flexible it is and how much you can customize depending on what you're trying to build.

Cons

Has a pretty steep learning curve. Also, NS doesn't seem to offer enough free access for developers who want to practice, learn the system and create solutions independently as freelancers.

Saves a lot of time in my day

Pros

This is a very good piece of software and it lets you do a lot of tasks through automation. As a result, it helps reduce the time needed to get things done which is a big win in day to day work.

Cons

One of the main weak spots is the price as many people may find it hard to access. Also, the wide variety of functions can feel a bit overwhelming so it is a bit difficult to quickly figure out and use the right features.

Great visibility into inventory and sales

Pros

I use it to generate reports that track inventory, invoices and sales and it gives our sales team clear visibility into how each vendor is performing. It also makes it easier to follow the full lifecycle of our products which has been really helpful for planning and follow-ups.

Cons

When I'm building certain reports, the lack of required unique labels can make things confusing. Occasionally it's hard to tell which field matches the exact data column I'm trying to work with.
