“great fit for big industries”
Pros
A powerful tool for big industries, large corporations and e-commerce clients.
Cons
Compatibility with some tools that are custom-made specifically for the company where I was using it could be a bit hit or miss. That's pretty common with platforms built mainly for a specific process. Still, everything worked fine-no real problems.

“strong automation for day to day work”
Pros
As our team builds more expertise, we're able to tap into more of the platform's capabilities at work. The automated saved searches and the purchase order generation have been especially useful for keeping things moving and reducing manual effort.
Cons
There's a pretty steep learning curve. Also, it feels like we're only making use of around 40% of the program's potential, while still paying the full price for the software.

“all in one business management”
Pros
Having everything in one platform lets me handle a lot of different business tasks without jumping between systems. It's been really convenient to manage multiple areas from the same place.
Cons
For new users, it can feel a bit tricky to find where specific items are located until you get used to the layout.

“helpful client communication”
Pros
It helps me communicate with the client in a really effective way which makes coordination a lot smoother on my side.
Cons
At one point, we ran into some frustrating issues with client support tied to our underlying rep. It was mainly around planning and the way certain arrangements were handled on our side.

“Useful reporting”
Pros
This software packs a lot of capability especially once you get the hang of it. I really appreciate how much information it stores and the way you can generate different reports based on the exact data you're looking for.
Cons
Customizing reports is complicated and there's limited access to one on one, on demand support. It would help a lot to have more tutorials or online guides to help new users build the reports they need. There's also noticeable performance lag since the processor runs pretty slowly.

“solid audit trails”
Pros
Includes audit trails and user management that feel comparable to well-established ERP systems. The interface is also fairly user friendly and there's an option to download reports with just a button click. On top of that the data is accessible from different locations which makes remote work much smoother and also supports cross-country audits.
Cons
It's not yet a widely used, fully standard accounting option across India so finding readily available resources and support can be a bit tricky. That said, it's gaining traction over time so this gap should shrink as more people adopt it.

“Strong inventory management support”
Pros
An excellent program for inventory management and placing orders especially after you work through the learning curve which honestly isn't too difficult. Their support team has been outstanding with training and guiding us while we got up to speed on the software.
Cons
A few workflow steps could be a bit more organized with some software tweaks. For example, when you search for an inventory item using the search box, popular items bring up all related quotes and conversations first, rather than showing the product as the top result. It means you typically need an extra step: add "inv:" before the inventory item to have it appear as the only result.

Pros
Gave us a really strong level of functionality across all departments. The customization options were solid and it also fit tightly with our accounting workflows which made day to day operations line up better.

“Modify it to fit your needs”
Pros
NetSuite feels really flexible as it's highly customizable and comes packed with a ton of capabilities. You can modify it to fit how your business works and there are enough built in features that you can cover a lot without needing to start from scratch.
Cons

“Way too much effort to make it work”
Pros
Since this is our initial software setup (we've been using it since 1998), I've mostly been working through the sales and account management side. I don't really rely on the reporting features themselves. A lot of my day involves digging into billing, invoicing and accounts payable so I'm mostly focused on getting the right information into the right place. That said, getting to the correct fields takes way more effort than it should.
Cons
Getting to the correct field requires too many keyboard clicks. Also, a good chunk of the information doesn't carry over from Salesforce into this when it should which creates gaps and extra cleanup. Billing ends up feeling inconsistent and the system's payment arrangements don't capture every account. Commission reporting is another big pain point as transactions tied to the "Parent Account" don't show up in commission reporting so reviewing commissions becomes time consuming. Each month I typically have around 35 accounts that aren't picked up by this software and that extra follow up adds up fast.

Pros
