user friendly UI

Pros

Easy to get used to and the global search feature makes it simple to find what you need without wasting time. It's also helpful that certain elements can be customized which adds a lot of efficiency for users.

Cons

Difficult to get issues resolved quickly espeically during critical downtime when timely assistance really mattered.

Efficient search feature

Pros

Using it has been a good experience so far, the interface is user friendly and the search features work really well. I'm also excited about the upcoming Ask Oracle AI feature which looks like it could be a real game changer for finance teams.

Cons

One downside is the lack of stronger support for property and real estate. Hospitality and property management capabilities also aren't as available as they should be and group accounting and consolidation still need improvement.

highly customizable for business needs

Pros

NetSuite is incredibly customizable and can be adapted to fit very specific business requirements. I still haven't run into a situation where I couldn't put a fix or workaround in place to accomplish what I needed.

Cons

On the CRM side, it falls short when it comes to marketing features so you end up needing separate tools for things like email campaigns or social media posting.

custom reports

Pros

Navigation is simple and the system is highly customizable. Saved searches and the saved CSV feature are really useful and both the reports and analytics tools offer solid customization.

Cons

Too many bugs and the platform can be slow at times. The bank import feature fails repeatedly espeically when import codes are involved and the bank feeds for Amex transactions are unreliable.

easy to use multi business management software

Pros

Managing multiple businesses with it is pretty simple and the platform is very easy to use overall. With the newer AI features, automating tasks through scripting has also become simpler.

Cons

There are quite a few add on products and the costs can build up over time. Also, many of the native products are heavily US-focused which can make things more difficult.

solid visibility across operations

Pros

Covers a broad range of transactions and it has given the business much better visibility.

Cons

Customers have to handle certain technical areas themselves, while with other products those parts are usually managed by the vendor.

Auditing made easy

Pros

Training new staff doesn't take much effort because the system is simple to work with. Keeping hard copies attached to each transaction also makes audits and reviews much easier.

Cons

You can't search across databases or between Payroll and Finance. It's also frustrating having to pay for OneWorld just because we use one additional currency.

powerful modules

Pros

The features are excellent and there are plenty of add on modules available that can really enhance the overall experience.

Cons

The pricing for each module is frustrating and having to push for major discounts just to get access is honestly irritating. That said, the system itself is excellent.

adaptable platform

Pros

It's very user friendly and flexible enough to fit just about any business need. After attending SuiteConnect today, it also feels clear that the platform is heading in the right direction with AI.

Cons

I don't have any complaints. We use a fractionalized NetSuite instance through JCurve and it has worked without any issues.

powerful self serve across teams

Pros

There's a lot this platform can do across different areas of the business and the self service features open up plenty of possibilities. It covers multiple functions well although getting comfortable with everything does come with a fairly steep learning curve.

Cons

Putting together basic charts and visuals is harder than it should be and the limits around space and formatting make it even more restrictive. In many cases, you end up needing professional support to get things set up properly.

Great AI finance features

Pros

The newer AI capabilities on the finance side look especially useful. They should be really helpful for our accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial analyst work.

Cons

The platform's background visuals could use some improvement. While our workflow is simplified but the program's graphics could definitely be better.

User friendly setup process

Pros

Installation was an easy process. We've been using it since 2020 and the team's feedback has been consistently very positive. The training process has also been simple and manageable.

Cons

Support can be a bit slow at times and it often takes a specialized team to step in before issues get resolved. Hopefully that improves over time.

strong workflows

Pros

Helped simplify our workflows and I've found the report building side of it to be very effective. That part has been a positive experience.

Cons

At the same time, it's difficult to understand everything we actually have and how it's all supposed to be used. The dashboard tools also don't feel very effective. We even brought in training to help and that still wasn't very useful.

solid reporting

Pros

A broad range of topics is covered, including the free add-ins that are already available. It offers solid solutions for many of the reporting and data management challenges we're currently dealing with.

Cons

Accessing data through reports and searches feels a bit limited which can end up causing confusion and frustration.

Reports you can customize

Pros

Having everything in a single system makes a big difference and the customizable reports are especially useful when it comes to reconciliation work and digging into issues at month end.

Cons

Fixed Assets Management has been a challenge at times. When errors pop up, the messages often don't give enough specific detail so we end up having to raise support cases to resolve things, like when a depreciation record is missing.

versatile tool

Pros

NetSuite's biggest advantage is how versatile it is, covering everything from purchase orders and invoicing to financial reporting.

Cons

The part I like the least is that the interface still isnt the most user friendly and the training videos could definitely be better since many of them feel outdated.

flexible platform with strong future updates

Pros

Easy to customize it according to different business needs. Ongoing updates are a big plus and the growing focus on AI is encouraging. I also appreciate the detailed product roadmap and the integration capabilities which help connect it with other systems when needed.

Cons

You still need third party solutions to cover certain gaps and limitations. It would be much better if the NetSuite team could handle everything on its own instead of relying on outside tools.

Looking forward to the AI capabilities

Pros

It's been exciting to see new features being added to the platform which expand what it can do. The upcoming AI feature especially looks very promising and feels like it could add a lot of value.

Cons

Interface still feels a little slow while using some features and the licensing costs make it expensive to roll out across the wider business.
