“modern system”

Pros

Switching to it made our previous system feel completely outdated. It's incredibly simple to use and the training was very helpful, even though the platform is user-friendly enough that we barely needed it because everything is so user friendly.

Cons

Being able to share packages between family members would be a really valuable addition to it.

“Knowledgeable team”

Pros

After trying several clinic booking platforms, it has been the most simple one to use, customize and get support from whenever needed. The team really seems to pay attention to client feedback and they keep releasing updates and fixing problems on a regular basis.

Cons

Getting everything integrated was very simple. I just uploaded my client mailing list and that was all it took.

“Works efficiently”

Pros

It works efficiently and is generally simple to navigate.

Cons

My biggest frustration was with the Jane terminal. After buying it, I spent several days on the phone with customer support trying to get it working and I also waited hours for callbacks that never happened. In the end, I returned the terminal and bought a Square terminal instead. The app itself only has minor issues and is still definitely better than relying on paper notes. I moved to it hoping to integrate payments through the Jane terminal and organize everything but since the terminal never worked, I'm only using the platform for note taking. At $90 a month, that feels pretty expensive, especially when there are other systems that can do something similar for a lot less.

“Well laid out”

Pros

It has been a fantastic product to use. The standout for me is the clean, simple layout for scheduling and how user-friendly everything feels when using it. The scheduling management tools have been incredibly helpful and the suggested forms along with access to templates from other users in the same field are a big plus.

Cons

At times, the setup process can be a bit tricky when switching between selecting a template and applying modifications to build forms from scratch.

“Centralized solution”

Pros

This product covers everything in one place, keeps getting better with ongoing updates and the Jane team is always kind, helpful and upbeat.

Cons

It came with a pretty steep learning curve and implementation took time but the training videos, tech support and online forums made it much more manageable.

“Appointment changes happen effortlessly”

Pros

I like how appointment scheduling, rescheduling and reminders were all handled automatically in the background. Patients would sometimes apologize for cancelling or moving their bookings but it didn't create extra work for me or require any energy on my end to update things. Before using it, I would have had to call the patient myself and usually ended up playing phone tag just to make a simple change. On the rare occasion that I couldn't make it to work, I could send out the "Doctor is unavailable" email notice to cancel appointments and patients were then able to rebook on their own.

Cons

Whenever a small adjustment was needed, it was addressed within a reasonable time. For example, the Relationships feature was updated so parents could book appointments for the whole family. Honestly, I don't have any complaints.

“comprehensive system”

Pros

Everything I need is in one place which makes running my practice much more manageable. It's simple to use once you get going and having records, billing and scheduling together saves a lot of hassle. Patients also mention that Jane is very convenient and helpful on their side which has been a big plus.

Cons

There is a bit of a learning curve at first while getting familiar with how it works. I'm also not too happy about having to pay extra for an additional practitioner once I grow and expand my practice.

“Flexible documentation tools”

Pros

The documentation tools are flexible so tailoring things to our workflow is very doable and being able to view appointments clearly is a big plus.

Cons

Changing the DOC/DOI for new episodes takes more steps than it should which can feel a bit tedious.

“Scheduling and billing done right”

Pros

Getting started with it was quick and it covers the things I need day to day really well. Scheduling is simple, invoicing and billing patients works nicely and the end-of-day reporting is very helpful. Online scheduling and patient reminders are also big pluses and save a lot of time.

Cons

The charting view feels pretty basic and doesn't offer many advanced features.

“Best choice for me!”

Pros

Setup was incredibly quick and moving through the system and documenting feels very fast. Billing and practice management are also simple to handle and it really offers a complete all-in-one suite.

Cons

After using four other programs before this, this one has been amazing and easily the best choice for me.

“Cost-effective option”

Pros

Starting my private practice felt much more manageable because the pricing was affordable and the system was user-friendly once you understood how to work with it. The customer service is honestly the absolute best and I really appreciated that there was no bait-and-switch like you get with so many other EHR companies.

Cons

Templates didnt work well for me. I tend to depend on premade ones and there are literally thousands available since other practitioners share their own but that actually made it feel overwhelming. I also tried building my own and it came across as too complicated and cluttered. I needed a SOAP note setup that was more organized and faster to complete but instead it took me forever to finish a chart because there were so many mixed elements like dropdowns, bullets and fill-in-the-blank sections.

“reasonably priced”

Pros

Using it has been such a positive experience. The platform is incredibly simple to navigate, the pricing feels very fair and the customer support is honestly outstanding. Whenever I need help, the team is there and clearly puts real effort into making sure I understand the features and how to use them properly. That level of support feels genuine and it gives me a lot of confidence in using the software for my practice. I'd absolutely recommend it to others. I even spent time reading it's Story and About pages because the whole experience left me feeling supported, encouraged and optimistic about my practice.

Cons

One frustrating part came up during the tutorial setup process. After finishing the 6 main steps, you can choose additional advanced settings by checking boxes and updating the tutorial to include those features. Once those new tutorial items appear, there are options to either skip them or mark them as complete. I clicked Skip or Completed on Charting and another feature because I wanted to test whether I could hide those steps and return to them later. Unfortunately, once either of those options is selected, those tutorial items can't be reopened inside Jane again. If you check those boxes later and try to update the feature list, the system just says the tasks were already completed and directs you to the website for more help. I would have much preferred being able to revisit those walkthroughs inside Janeapp itself, especially since the built-in videos were very convenient and helpful.

“Exceptional tech support”

Pros

Their tech support has been exceptional.

Cons

It is a very powerful and fairly complicated client management system. It can handle a lot but getting everything set up takes quite a bit of time. That said, the support has been outstanding. They provide videos, written guides and responsive online help that has been very useful.

“Saves me a lot of time”

Pros

Scheduling clients and sending reminders with it has made a big difference in my day-to-day work. It's very user-friendly and the survey feature has been especially helpful for COVID-19 screening. Overall, it saves me a lot of time.

Cons

Charting feature can be improved. If I accidentally choose the wrong template when creating a chart entry, there's no way to switch it afterward without archiving the original entry first.

“positive first impression”

Pros

I haven't started using it with clients yet but my first impression is very positive. It's user-friendly and offers an excellent range of options and features.

Cons

A few features are a little hard to fully understand without a demo or some training from a Jane representative to walk through them. That's why I really appreciated having support available through Zoom, it was very helpful.
