“Useful demo videos”

Pros

Using this tool has been very simple and the demo videos are incredibly helpful. On top of that, the customer service and support from the Jane team are the best I've ever experienced.

Cons

The only thing missing at this point is a monthly automated payment system.

“Cuts down on paperwork”

Pros

Getting started with it was very simple and it has significantly reduced how much accounting work and paperwork we need to handle.

Cons

There really hasn't been much to complain about. It has worked very well for us right from the beginning.

“Simple to locate stuff”

Pros

From an administrative standpoint, it is really simple to navigate and it's simple to locate whatever I need without wasting time.

Cons

Invoicing bother me. It needs the ability to include more than one product on a single invoice. When a patient needs several supplements, having to send separate invoices for each item sometimes 10 or even more, is incredibly frustrating. Aside from that, this is honestly my only issue with Jane App.

“Proactive support”

Pros

Running our chiropractic office has become far more organized with Jane than it ever was with the other EHR systems we used before. We've been able to get rid of extra software we no longer needed and the cloud-based access lets us securely pull up patient files and charting from anywhere which has been incredibly helpful. Online scheduling and payments are also a big advantage and our patients have had no trouble using Jane on their end either. Another thing that really stands out is how responsive and helpful the customer support team is. I also appreciate that users can submit feature ideas and vote on requests so updates seem to move in a direction that actually reflects what customers need.

Cons

There are still a few areas where I'd like more flexibility, especially with reporting and integrating data into other software. It hasn't been a major issue for us but it does create some limits in how we're able to display and work with our data. That said, whenever I've run into something Jane couldn't do, their team has always given me a solid explanation sometimes it's because of HIPAA-related security concerns or helped me figure out a workaround. A lot of the time they'll mention that a requested feature is already on the roadmap and to their credit, they really do seem to follow through on those promises.

“Detailed solution”

Pros

Between the accounting tools, appointment scheduling, compensation features and online booking, it covers the core parts of running the clinic really well. The integration process was simple too so getting everything connected didn't take much effort.

Cons

What would make it even better is linking it's in-house Reviews feature with Google Reviews. Patient feedback inside the platform is helpful for internal clinic and performance evaluation, while Google Reviews has more marketing value for people searching online so connecting the two would add a lot.

“Large variety of templates available”

Pros

Using it day to day has been a really positive experience because the whole system is very user friendly for just about everyone. Whether it's taking payments, keeping track of A/R or handling end-of-day cashing out, everything feels simple since it's all recorded properly in one place. Our therapists also find the charting area helpful because of the variety of templates available and our patients really appreciate the online booking feature too.

Cons

If I had to point out one thing that feels missing in it, it would be some kind of alert letting staff know when a person being booked already has an appointment that same day and time. A pop-up message like, "Heads up! this person is already booked on this day at this time" would be incredibly helpful for our team. Some patients forget they already have an appointment and try booking again because they think they haven't yet. That's honestly the only drawback I can come up with, the possibility of double booking. Even then, I feel confident Jane will add something like this eventually because they really do listen to suggestions and follow through on them.

“uncomplicated implementation”

Pros

It came to our office as a recommendation from a new provider who wanted to give it a try, even though she hadn't used it before either. Getting everything up and running was very simple and it felt familiar because it was quite similar to the EHS system we already use in our Dermatology practice. Even after the provider who originally suggested it left, we decided to move our entire EHS over to it since we operate as a direct care medical practice.

Cons

We wish it included the option to create organized "files" within the file section so uploads could be sorted into categories like patient progress photos, ID cards, medical records and similar items. Once there are dozens of uploaded documents to look through, it becomes time-consuming and feels unnecessary when a basic subfolder feature could make everything much more manageable.

“Best by some distance”

Pros

After working with a lot of EMR systems over the years, it stands out as the best by a wide margin. It covers everything you truly need and nearly everything you could want without constantly charging extra. The chart notes are customizable, it supports multiple disciplines and the scheduling tools are outstanding. Online booking, payment processing, appointment reminders, insurance billing, Google reviews and the patient portal are all built in and work really well. On top of that, it costs much less than many other options and their customer service is honestly unmatched. I would not switch to another platform at this point.

Cons

We've used it every day for nearly two years and really haven't run into any major problems. On the rare occasion that a small issue comes up, the support team responds quickly, handles it efficiently and resolves it well. They're genuinely pleasant to work with and if there were a 6-star option, I'd gladly give it to them.

“Accomodating support team”

Pros

Getting started with it is very simple and it's simple to train new users on it. The customer support has also been awesome and there's a clear, uncomplicated way to learn how to do things or create what you need inside the software.

Cons

it relies a bit too heavily on the mouse. I'd really like to have more keyboard-based options available as an alternative.

“Competent support”

Pros

Right from the start, the software has been very user-friendly and the support team has been incredibly helpful. Their team has even taken the time to call me and walk me through things I was struggling with instead of only sending screenshots.

Cons

There really is not much we dislike about it although there are still a few adjustments we would love to see. It would be better if late-canceled appointments appeared in the appointment history as late cancels rather than no-shows. We would also like the option to add a reason for late cancellations instead of relying on the drop-down cancel option which makes those appointments disappear from the schedule.

“Ahead of the curve”

Pros

After working with several EMRs and practice management systems throughout my career and even starting out with paper charts, it has been the best one by far. Handling different kinds of chart notes through its module-based setup feels very simple.

Cons

Insurance billing in the U.S. still feels confusing and honestly a bit like dark magic to me. You have to go through a clearinghouse to submit insurance claims and I'm still unclear on how that connects with Jane once payments start coming back in. It's also difficult to SALT billing and diagnosis codes from the previous visit. I'd really like those to carry forward into the current visit automatically, with the option to adjust them as needed.

“Patients love the system”

Pros

I like how simple it is to use. My patients mention all the time that it's the best system they've come across which says a lot.

Cons

The only thing that would really make it even better for my practice is being able to send emails directly from Jane instead of relying on an integration like Mailchimp.

“personalized responses from the team”

Pros

Whenever the FAQ doesn't cover what I need, reaching out to support by email gets me a genuinely personalized response and sometimes they even send a video walking me through exactly what I'm looking for. The customer support is absolutely top notch.

Cons

Honestly, I don't have any complaints. The Jane team keeps rolling out new features and continues to go beyond what I expected.

“Fantastic color-coded booking system”

Pros

The color-coded booking system makes everything much clearer and there are lots of useful features like being able to save files directly to a client profile.

Cons

Reports section can be hard to navigate, probably because I do not use it very often. Handling payments with insurance companies is also complicated, especially when they only cover part of the cost or do not pay at all because the client needs a doctor's note. In those cases, I have to go back in and make manual changes.

“Has everything we need”

Pros

Having everything we need as practitioners in one place has been a huge plus. I'm not bouncing between different apps anymore which makes the whole workflow feel much more connected and efficient.

Cons

Getting started does involve a lot of setup and it can feel pretty overwhelming in the beginning. I expect that learning curve will ease up once I've spent more time with it and gotten used to how everything works.

“Easy access”

Pros

It handles everything I need it to do and the only thing that could make it even better would be adding a solutions section in the help tab so users can fix mistakes on their own.

Cons

I haven't run into any problems with it so far. I'm still new to the program but I really appreciate being able to use it directly from my own computer.

“Great value for price”

Pros

Right away, it feels polished and enjoyable to use every single day. The design is really beautiful and after spending time with other platforms that felt complex and unattractive, that difference becomes even more obvious. The value for the price is fantastic considering everything that's included, online intake forms, text reminders, an online booking site and a lot more. The automatic email system has been a huge help. It waits a few minutes before sending notifications which means patients receive one organized email with all their bookings together instead of a flood of separate messages. It also automatically includes links to any intake forms they still need to complete so there's no need to chase people down with reminders. If someone still hasn't filled out a form, the "Fill out intake" option makes it simple to hand them a device in the office and have them complete everything digitally without paper. Charting can take more effort for some users because it's only as powerful as what you build but that's also part of what makes it so flexible. Since it's highly customizable, you can create a charting setup that really fits your workflow. And if building from scratch feels intimidating, there are hundreds of shared templates from other practitioners that you can start with and adjust over time. I especially enjoy creating macros and button options to make the whole process feel smooth.

Cons

A few pieces are still in progress such as expanded package features, recurring automatic payments and having diagnoses in charts connect directly to the billing side of an appointment. That said, it doesn't feel like a major issue because Jane is clearly active about improving the platform. They regularly accept suggestions, maintain a very transparent roadmap and let users view and vote on feature requests so the team knows what matters most. Because of that, it's easy to see these gaps are already being worked on.

“Well-designed product”

Pros

It's user-friendly, works efficiently, has a clean and pleasant design and the platform keeps getting better with ongoing improvements. The support team also deserves credit, they're accessible, knowledgeable and genuinely friendly whenever help is needed.

Cons

Language preference is a major challenge here in Quebec. We need users to be able to read and receive information in either French or English based on their choice. It would be very helpful if patients could select their preferred language so communication feels more natural and accessible. Without that option, it creates frustration for patients and adds extra administrative work on our side.
