Keeps getting better

Pros

Jane keeps improving its platform with new features that benefit us in many ways, creating a very fulfilling experience in our ever-evolving workspace.

Cons

Janes ongoing updates can be challenging for some users to adapt to. These changes often introduce new challenges and might require frequent customer support, which could be seen as a downside for some users.

Affordable and user-friendly

Pros

The process and documentation are very smooth which eliminates the need for redundant information which is a huge relief for us.

Cons

I did not have any issues yet. I am in the early stages of using Jane and have not found anything problematic so far.

Lovely features!

Pros

I enjoy using Jane software to keep track of my clients appointments and complete my end-of-day documentation for my patients.

Cons

There is nothing currently that I dislike. I am happy using this software for my charting work.

A really good EHR option

Pros

Jane is hands down an excellent EHR software, especially with its wide variety of macros available. These macros save so much time by letting me customize entries to fit our specific needs, which makes documentation faster and more accurate. It's clear that Jane was built with healthcare providers in mind because these little details really add up in making daily tasks easier.

Cons

There are not many things I dislike about it.

Charting needs some sorting

Pros

The customer service team at Jane is fantastic! Anytime I've had questions or needed help, they've gone above and beyond to assist. They don't just provide answers, they're genuinely dedicated to finding the best solutions. I feel confident knowing there's a support team that truly understands my needs and is willing to take the time to ensure I'm getting the most out of the software. Their commitment to service makes a huge difference.

Cons

We run a medical cosmetic clinic where charting injectable treatments is important. Janes template library lacks options for these treatments. It would be beneficial if the template selection kept pace with industry innovations, including templates for laser treatments, radio frequency, microneedling, chemical peels and more.

Wonderful tool

Pros

I like how organized Jane is, the range of tasks I can perform within it and the support I receive are all amazing.

Cons

Some functions aren't immediately understandable and can be easily overlooked, preventing me from using the site to its full potential. And the break button could be displayed differently, as it seems breaks are sometimes set in the wrong place.

Best software ever!

Pros

I really like the online booking, statements and billing documents, as well as the integration with Stripe and PhysiApp. Customizing forms is easy and I can quickly duplicate notes and create phrases for faster note-taking. The customer service is exceptional, surpassing any other similar service. When I need to leave, they provide a PDF of all client notes, making compliance with data safety an easy task.

Cons

I wish Jane were available in the country I'm moving to.

Happy with our transition

Pros

One of the things I really appreciate about Jane is that it's cloud-based, so I can log in from anywhere and on any device, which is incredibly convenient. I love that I don't need to worry about backup storage costs or extra setup, it handles it all. It's easy to navigate, and there's a wealth of help videos and articles online that guide me through anything I'm unsure about. My patients also love the online scheduling feature, which gives them the flexibility to book appointments whenever it's convenient. Overall, it has made both my work and my patients' experience smoother and more accessible.

Cons

I did like some reports to be improved. Specifically, I want to know how many of each CPT code I have used.

Pros

Ease of practice

Pros

The transition was incredibly smooth! Jane guided me through every step of moving my data and starting at a new location. I also like how compliant they are with our provincial healthcare regulations.

Cons

I sometimes feel overwhelmed by the number of features! Jane has so many options that I have not taken the time to fully learn how to use the program because I feel overwhelmed by all the choices.

5+ years experience with Jane

Pros

The charting templates and scheduling features are my favorites.

Cons

Financial reports and bookkeeping have been a nightmare for me. I wish the reports did not show unapplied and reapplied payments. Changing payments often creates erroneous transaction lines, like 5/15 $15.00 payment, 5/15 -$15.00 payment, 5/15 $15.00 payment. The software settings can be confusing; for example, it asks me to set commission rates for appointment types and then separately for practitioners, which led to underpaying my staff for a year until we audited everything. It was a disaster. Additionally, if my front desk receptionist accidentally selects a practitioner while selling a package, it overpays my staff. This has caused further auditing issues, including back pay and even led to one employee quitting. I also found that the software incorrectly paid $25 commission for a 1st late cancellation which we don't charge for. While Janes customer service is generally good, their response to these issues has been unhelpful, with them stating, that is not Janes intended behavior, we don't know why it did that, we are working to figure it out. After a long wait and a follow-up message, I received the same response. Now, I must audit every commission report monthly, so if you pay commission-based practitioners, be cautious about commission distributions. Double-checking is essential as the software cannot be relied upon for financial accuracy.

My experience with Jane

Pros

It is easy to use, simple and user-friendly. The Jane app is excellent for healthcare professionals in private practice which makes administrative tasks much easier.

Cons

Great Experience with Jane so far!

Pros

I like being able to get help via email or phone and always speaking with a live person instead of a recording. It is fantastic to manage my billing, scheduling, payments and notes all in one place!

Cons

I do not have any complaints so far. I just wish I had a better understanding of the insurance side of things. I think it will become much easier once I start sending claims. I just need more practice.
